Weiss's POV

After we had seen that the masked man had disappeared, Adam Taurus had actually decided to get his troops and retreat as the other faunus that were seeming to be corrupt had returned to their ways and left the place.

  As we were going to find out where Ryan had crash landed since he had seemed to had sustained quite the beating from his opponent, one question was still in my mind. Why was he seemed to be so familiar both in aura presence and resemblance? It just seemed as if I knew him from before everything else had happened in my life, but it wasn't the time to think about such things like that.

   We had arrived to where Ryan was at, his clothes were seemingly torn and by the fact that he was steadily breathing meant that he wasn't having any internal injuries despite the fact that their fight seemed to shake everything around them and on top of that, he was literally punched towards the moon and back.

Me : " * puts her ear close to his chest * Don't worry about it, he's still alive, just barely conscious", I said towards Yang and Ruby reassuringly since the later was at the verge of tears once again.

Blake : " Who was that?", she asked him in an inquisitive manner.

Ryan : " * shakily sits up * I d-don't know..., but since everything is okay for now I'm going to lay down for a bit", he said to us and had actually lost consciousness afterwards, making Ruby to whimper yet again.

Me : " * sighs softly looking at her* Don't worry, he had just fainted and I think that we have to get him back to Beacon's infirmary since I doubt that you would enjoy if he was found out by anyone else how strong he really is.", I said to her calmly about it, knowing that if Atlas or worse, my family found out about him things are going to get a bad turn for all of us.

We had finally arrived at Beacon and placed him on one of the infirmary's beds, let me tell you about something although one of Ryan's abilities was mass-shifting from a giant to a human and vice-versa would somewhat make you think that he would get relatively lighter to move around when you are trying to lift him up along three other people, but he's way heavier than he looks. Not going to lie this was a literal work out.

  The others had then went to their own and left me to be here with him, which although it was something that made me to inwardly blush since due to the fact that he had revealed that he had feelings for me, this meant that we are in a boyfriend - girlfriend type of relation since I had kissed him, revealing that despite the fact that he had this scary attitude about him, mostly from his younger twin brother, he was quite the good friend. Ugh, why am I thinking about it!

(A/n : In Ryan's vision)

(A/n : Ryan's POV)

I was feeling as if I was walking through a really bright lighted highway that seemed to be unending. Whilst I was walking I felt that the light itself had started to deem bringing me to a place that although I was never there, it seemed way too familiar.

  The place itself was a path made out of chiseled stone, pale blue roses that seemed to be glowing under the moon light, were planted along the sides of the path decorating it and seemed to guide me to somewhere.

The destination in the end of the path was something similar to an altar made out of marble, with four statues, one on each corner of the building and from this place looking upwards towards the sky, I had seen something that I wasn't expecting.

The sky itself was crystal clear of any clouds, showing myriads of stars and even galaxies, but the thing that would be seen more was that there were some places that the galaxies seemingly moved around gracefully whilst in others they were suspended on the sky as if they were tied to invisible threads like a puppeteer's mannequin.

Me : ' *In his mind * What's going on?', I thought to myself until the truth about it had hit me harder than a tidal wave. The galaxies weren't suspended. They were parts of universes, 20 in each of the unimaginably massive orbs that seemed to enclose them, keeping them sealed within.

My eyes had turned in the front of me, looking towards a person that had appeared from behind a statue seemingly out of nowhere, their face and body was hidden by a midnight blue cloak.

(A/n : Something like this, but imagine that the strands of hair on the cloaked figure weren't able to be seen.)

???: "Wake up Ryan", she said to me with a feminine voice that was soft as silk yet had a rather commanding tone on it and I had seen that my body was seemingly disappearing from the place where I was.

The last thing that I had seen from the cloaked lady was that six steel blades with golden guards had appeared behind her, seemingly floating, along with a few strands of ebony black hair that were not hidden underneath her cloak, but the thing that I couldn't forget was a sword that was seemingly stuck on the ground that seemed to be missing two pieces, one from its pommel and one from its guard. What could it possibly mean?

(A/n : In the infirmary.)

(A/n :Author's POV)

After that strange vision Ryan had awoken, having his almost honey colored, bright hazel eyes to widen. He was looking around, until he could see that he was actually in Beacon's infirmary and Weiss was sitting on a chair next to him, driven to sleep and then the memories of what had happened, including the fight with the mysterious man and the fact that something had seemingly awoken within his body and soul during the fight were coming back to him.

Weiss : " You're finally awake. You were trying to cross the border right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush same as me and that thief over there. ", she said to him seemingly waking up from her sleep and pointing to seemingly nowhere.

Ryan : " Huh ?", he said to her in confusion

Weiss :" You took your sweet time to wake up", she said to him calmly, proceeding to stand up and start stretching slightly.

Ryan : " How long was I out?", he asked her politely about it, raising an eyebrow in slight confusion.

Weiss : " Well, you were out for about nearly the whole afternoon and seeing that the others went to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat and I had nothing else to do, I had stayed here and looked after you till you woke up.", she said to him calmly, making the dirty blonde haired teen to smirk slightly in a teasing way towards her.

Ryan :" Aww, so you cared that much in order to look after me, albeit in a creepy way. It's so nice to hear that from you. ", he said to her calmly in a teasing way, making Weiss to pout and cross her arms, but by the red tint on her almost always pale cheeks was enough for him to understand that the teasing had worked.

Weiss :" I-I'm neither creepy, nor I like you, b-baka!!", she said to him calmly, albeit in a flustered yet Tsundere-like way of speaking about it.

Ryan : " * smirks slightly * Then why exactly you had been with me all the time that I was knocked out?",he asked her politely, albeit in an inquisitive manner.

Weiss : " I-I... * gets frustrated * okay I'll admit it I have feelings for you. Is that what you wanted to hear baka!? ", she said to him annoyed by his teases towards her, her facial expression was a mix in between getting flustered and being irritated to the point of frustration.

Ryan :" * rolls his bright hazel eyes to her shenanigans * Well, I was just making sure that my beloved ice queen wasn't looking anyone else when I was pretty much out for the count.", he said to her calmly, knowing that a fully annoyed Tsundere is someone that you must not try to irritate further, although he enjoyed seeing her cheeks and face blushing brightly like a rubies.

After their small teasing talk which was mostly consisted of Ryan teasing Weiss, making Weiss to blush into myriads shades of red, they had gotten at the cafeteria at where once Ruby, Luke and Yang had seen their older brother they had gotten closer to him (A/n : Well... at Luke's case he had gotten closer to his older brother via Ruby, who had gently picked up her younger sibling) , enclosing him into a sibling hug which was not too tight due to the fact that Luke was literally in the middle of them and the fact that they didn't wanted to hurt him accidentally or deliberately.

Ruby : " I missed you so much big bro ", she said to him calmly.

Luke : " Me too", he said to him calmly, hugging his older brother to the point that he was basically nuzzling him.

Yang : "Don't scare us like that again", she said to him calmly, but the cute moment in between Ryan and his siblings was pretty much stopped by Nora who decided that this was the perfect time for her to say...

Nora : "Aww", she said at the sibling moment, basically not bothering with being quiet or at the very least whisper it.

Sage : " *speaks telepathically to them * Well Nora, you're definitely very lucky today that I'm still recovering or I would have personally closed your mouth without any second thought", he said to her calmly in a 'close yet not too far away from threatening' manner, making the ginger haired girl to pout.

Nora : " Oh come on, can't someone show that they're being happy about something?", she asked annoyed.

Pyrrha : " * sighs softly * Being happy about something is one thing, but doing something annoying for someone else is not a good thing", she retorted calmly, making Nora to roll her eyes to her statement.

Ren : " Anyways, what did Sage meant to say by recovering?", he asked politely, albeit in a slightly inquisitive manner.

Sage : " *speaks telepathically to them * Well during the fight in between my older twin and the masked man that was there, I had played a more supportive role in this by having to spread my aura around the planet of Remnant and its natural satellite so that they were not going to be basically one punched ", he replied to him, making him and the others to tense slightly at the almost impossible feat of sheer strength.

Jaune :" * chuckles nervously * Remind me to not get at your bad side since I won't wish to be basically one shot by you. ", he said to him sweating nervously since going up against someone who can literally bench press the entire planet it's not a well thought decision.

Weiss :" Anyways so does anyone know what is the next family that's probably going to visit us? ", she asked them politely, making Ruby to actually smile.

Ruby : " It's our family. The Rose/Xiao Long family!!!", she chirped happily, having the overwhelming excitement similar to a kid having sugar rush.

Blake :" Indeed, they are the next one in our schedule, but the questions that remain are, do they actually know about Sage or the fact that Ryan was a fox faunus? ", she asked politely, albeit a bit worried about it.

Ryan : " * sighs softly * The problem is that they don't know about any of them", he said to her, his fox ears were down in a solemn way.

He and his siblings had seemed to tense badly at the words spoken from Blake non the less, does that mean that their parents might see and behave differently towards Ryan due to the fact that he's a fox faunus or the fact that he had kept Sage as a secret within him for far too long? Only the time itself will tell more about it.

(A/n : Still in Author's POV)

Ryan and Luke had done their nightly routines that had the difference in Ryan's case to take a bath since he had pretty much fought for his life and much to Luke's likings, he was able to spend some time with Sage during that.

Afterwards having the both of them to change into their pajamas and for privacy's sake one of them (A/n : Ryan) had to change whilst being in the bathroom, whilst the other one (A/n : Luke) had changed whilst being in his room after Sage's departure.

Ryan : " * smiles softly looking at him * Are you ready to sleep little bro?", he asked him politely about it, having his hand on the nightstand, palm up for the small teen to get on.

Luke : " * yawns slightly * I am", he said to him calmly, albeit a bit childishly as he had gotten onto his big brother's palm, sitting straight on the middle of it, being used to the gravity change as he was picked up from the nightstand, lifted towards his brother's pajama and felt the hand cupping around his small form in a protective yet soothing hug, cradling him close.

He had to admit that it was a really scary thing for him when he was gently picked up by someone whom he didn't knew about or had ill intentions since from his minuscule, two inches tall size alone which was both a curse and a blessing, he wouldn't be able to do a single thing to stop them from harming him, but when he was picked up by someone who was caring and protective of him, it was soothing for him, almost as if he was hugged in a mesmerizing bliss.

He was very scared his first days from when he was found by Ryan and especially when he was adopted by the Rose/Xiao Long family, despite the fact that he was happy to have a family there was the worry that they didn't adopted him to treat him equally since that was the same family that had been placing mouse traps at basically every place and was tensing badly when he was picked up since he didn't knew (A/n : Except for Ryan who had taken great care of him and even nursed him back to full physical health at the best of his abilities) what was the intention of each family member was, having him to either tense badly when he was picked up, feeling warm, leathery and rather soft surface of fingers about as tall as he was getting gently wrapped around him whenever he was getting lifted up, not knowing what to expect since a young borrower's fight/flight response was flight or in his case, squeaking and hiding whenever a massive foot descended near him from out of nowhere whenever he getting out from a hidden spot, making him to hide and at sertain points nearly not get out like a terrified mouse, which was quite ironic yet humorous since he was actually a wolf faunus which meant that he had to be brave, which by this time he was not at all.

  Basically, imagine yourselves being at his two inches tall compared to literally everyone around you place and have to remain hidden, without parents for most of your lives through childhood to early teen years and sustaining yourselves from the leftovers from people who are around 100 times your size and one day you get found out by one of the children in the family and get adopted and live with the same family that had placed mousetraps around every place that you could get out of your hiding spot... well, if you dare to tell me that you wouldn't be scared of living with people that are literally giants by your perspective (A/n : The types of giants that you could literally fit into the palm of their hands), having to rely on either them to pick you up and get you wherever you have to go or go through the hidden tunnels and crevices inside the walls that you had explored basically almost your entire life and have your legs or limbs snapping easier than twigs due to a forgotten mousetrap, I can guarantee you that you're basically 1000% lying.

Ryan : " * looks down at him * What's going on little bro?", he asked him politely about it in slight worry about his little brother's well-being, making the little borrower to squeak slightly in surprise at his big brother's words.

Luke : " It's just that I can't believe that we had managed to get through a lot of things that came to us.", he said to him calmly with a nervous chuckle, feeling his both literally and figuratively, bigger brother, feeling him lean back on the soft mattress and having his head on the pillows, having Luke to be on his chest, over his heart.

Ryan :" * chuckles softly * I know about it, but now it's time for you us to sleep since we had a pretty long day ahead of us.", he said to him calmly and couldn't help but inwardly chuckle seeing Luke cuddle his tail under his hand like a plush toy, before falling asleep.

Ryan :" * whispers * Good night shortie ", he said to him calmly, albeit a bit teasingly towards the small teen underneath his hand.

A/n : Hello everyone Son Raon here and I present to you the latest chapter of my story Remnant's Giant called Aftermath, featuring the rest of the things that happened after Ryan's fight with the masked man and I have to admit that it was a really hard chapter to write since my brain appeared to seemingly 'black out' and have no inspiration to write for a moment.
