Hmmm Alright, so it took me a while to think about what each character would like that's not commonly found in Japan already, so I hope you like what I created for you! Azumane Asahi: Pressed Flowers

New Country, New him. Feels as soon as he's stepped foot into your family's household like he has to put up a front that he's not as glass hearted as he really is

Everyone knows exactly how he is due to you gushing nonstop about him throughout your entire stay in Japan.

He, of course, is the center of attention as soon as you bring him home, everyone asking every little thing about his life and childhood and school and what he has planned for the future and all that good stuff to know about the man dating your child/sibling/cousin/niece/nephew/friend.

He didn't mean to say that he likes "Flowers pressed between the pages of a blank book". It just kinda slipped out when he was being fired questions left and right and having less than a few seconds to respond to each one I AM SO EXCITED TO WRITE THE SPANISH DAICHI AU BECAUSE OF THIS PART

Literally regrets saying it as soon as it leaves his mouth and has to excuse himself to a different room so he doesn't break down into anxiety tears right then and there. Poor baby! Of course, you follow after him and assure him that they wouldn't make him feel self concious about it or anything and that he should just forget he said anything and keep moving forward!

Christmas rolls around! He didn't think you'd want to stay until the holidays, but he doesn't mind! Your family loves him and he loves them and enjoys feeling so surrounded by your family members. Your cousins can not stop hanging on his arms and back

Whenever he holds your baby cousins/siblings/nieces/nephews, they always pull at his hair that's escaped his bun. It doesn't hurt him, but it does make his heart swell and his mind wander to the possibility of having children with you.

Opening gifts is sometimes an event all it's own. Someone always is upset about not being Santa or not giving out the gifts to everyone. In this situation it's your 7 year old cousin who's pouting and whining and on the brink of a complete tantrum about not being able to hand out gifts. Asahi sees this and takes it upon himself to follow your cousin out of the room and talk them into coming back in with him, as best he can in his iffy English. Your cousin doesn't leave Asahi's side for the rest of your stay.

When Asahi came back into the living room, he was BEYOND surprised to see this huge pile of gifts surrounding where he'd been previously sitting. He's the last to open his gifts and is COMPLETELY embarrassed to have all eyes on him.

Each. Gift. Is. A. Flower. Pressed. Book. All of them. Once he's opened every single one from every single member of your family, he has enough books to fill his bookcase back at your shared apartment in Japan!

Even the youngest of your family members had something to give him! Your littlest cousin/sibling approached the gentle giant Asahi and had him get to his knees in front of them so they were level. Then they held out a freshly picked flower and weaved it into his hair perfectly so that it was right above his left ear.

Asahi practically begs you to stay another couple of weeks with your family. He doesn't wanna leave any time soon. You have to drag him away tho bc of classes and Daichi and Suga are already pouting about missing their best friend lol

Oikawa Tooru: Artificially Flavored Candy

Since Artificial Flavors aren't really a thing in Japan According to Google???? He's been DYING to try out American Candy!

Literally can not stop talking about how he's the captain of a powerhouse school and how amazing his team is and how his best friend is the coolest guy ever after himself, and honestly? Your family is eating it up!

But that's not what they wanna know about him! They asked about his life, his childhood, his school, his friends, his hobbies, and even his favorite foods and sweets. He answers them all like a fucking sports interview lmao

Although some of your cousins have taken interest with your boyfriend's crazy obsession with Aliens and Outer Space, the rest of your family can't help but notice how he roots through your purse for Sour AirHeads at the bottom of your purse and how he loves all of them no matter the flavor since he'll just unwrap it and pop them into his mouth while still explaining his crazy theories.

Christmas rolls around! Oikawa did NOT expect to have gotten as many gifts as he was given by your family. They'd barely known him for a couple of days and yet he had more presents than he could carry.

"My, My, _____-chan~, your family loves me more than you~!" His English is actually pretty good! He almost sounds American Born with how well it sounds! He's proud of himself for that fact.

"It's because you're their new baby, Tooru. They bombarded all of my boyfriends around this time"

"Aw, _____-chan! Don't ruin my fun like that! I'm special~! I'm the one you're going to keep, right? I mean, how could you not? I'm gorgeous!" You have to kiss him to shut him up.

The moment he realizes that every single gift from your family is either Alien related or a bulk package of candy: Jolly Ranchers, AirHeads, Hubba Bubba, Fruity Mints, Nerds, Rock Candy, Pop Rocks, Sour Patch Kids, Skittles, and Starbursts, he realizes......

He's absolutely in love with your family.

The youngest of your family suddenly starts to cry once Oikawa's shut his trap, and Oikawa, as a reflex, reaches out and gently takes the baby into his arms and holds it close, reverting back to when he'd do the same for his nephew.

He even speaks Japanese to the baby, soothingly, and it calms down within seconds. Infinite Family Points RIGHT THERE

Oikawa can't help but laugh softly when he sees there's a single hard candy in the pocket of the baby, and laughs a bit harder when the mother of the baby says that their child was supposed to give it to him themselves.

You have to pry the baby from his arms when your family members leave after Christmas is over. Oikawa is pouting for the rest of the time there while sucking on his candies and making the FUNNIEST scrunched up sour faces you've ever seen.

Needless to say, you take pictures of his sour faces and send them, in a group text, to Iwai, Mattsun, and Makki.

Mattsun and Makki steal ALL OF OIKAWA'S candy once the two of you get home, due to Iwa ordering it. They don't' eat it. Just keep it away from Captain so he doesn't get too many cavities.

Kuroo Tetsurou: American RomComs

He has been studying English NON-STOP since you'd told him of the trip to America to visit your family for Christmas this year. He knows it already, but he wants to make sure he speaks it perfectly when he gets there

Everything he studied goes RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW as soon as he steps foot into your home. Fuck

He's getting his Japanese and English mixed up and he'll say something in Japanese that he thought he said in English and everyone is just super confused, but falling in love with how dorky and nervous he really is with meeting them and how his personality doesn't fit with his 'troublemaker' look.

You have to hold his hand throughout the entire ordeal for him to be able to keep his mind on one thing at a time. And he's going to make so many jokes about himself later on, but right now he's just glad you're there to keep him steady

It's like a week before Christmas and the two of you have not left the couch for much for almost a whole two days since he found your stash of 'I got Dumped' Romantic Comedies. He doesn't know that's what they were for, and you don't tell him

"You know, I can hear everything they're saying, and I get the gist of the movie, but holy hell.... I have no idea what they're saying."

"Tetsu, we could just watch something that we would at home? My parents/guardians don't mind if they hear nothing but Japanese nonsense all day. They've been listening to you for a couple of weeks now, so they're used to it."

*Offended Scoff* "How RUDE, ________! How would your parents feel if I told them you were being mean to me?"

"Honestly, Tetsu? They'd probably join in." My dad would have a field day with Kuroo tbh.

You can't help but secretly text your parents or guardians about how interested Kuroo is in these terrible movies. Your mom/guardian texts back with "Consider it done." And leaves you ULTRA worried about what that could possibly mean.

Christmas day is hectic, as it usually is, but even more so since there's a strange good looking foreign guy occupying a space on the couch next to one of your elderly with you sitting on the opposite side of the room of him. He's my boyfriend not yours, grandma, come on now lol

He's noticed he's been getting a SHIT ton more gifts. Like... He hasn't gotten this many presents since he was a kid! Even then it's more than that!

He's beyond confused when he rips open the paper to see some romantic comedy he's never seen before, but when he reads the back and the summary of what it's about, he looks at you with an excited smirk.

All of his presents are romantic comedies that have come out through the years. Even some that were currently in theaters that one of your cousins burned onto a CD for Kuroo. Even the younger members of your family beg him to watch their favorite Disney movies RIGHT THEN.

As soon as the two of you get home, there is popcorn popping in the microwave and one of the RomComs set into the DVD player and blankets strewn all over the couch with multiple pillows.

The two of you have one of the most EPIC movie marathons either of you have ever experienced.
