When you time travel do not go to a time where you are, Like going to a supermarket while you are there. That will cause a time paradox to where one of you do not exist, and if you go back in time to stop that from happening you, you will cause an even bigger paradox that could make the time continuum collapse and the timeline will start over that day and you will remember it I think. I am not sure. Going to the future you will find out what happens to you so you will worry and cause something worse to happen. For example if you kill a rat you can stop a disease outbreak but that means you go to a play and you royaly embarrass yourself and If you don't kill the rat by stopping yourself the plague gets released and a lot of people get sick and die.

If you change the past like stopping your parents from meeting you will erase yourself from existence as shown in back to the future
