I Got Blood All Over It

It was Cas but at the same time it wasn't. He looked the same, messy black hair and a dirty trenchcoat. But it was the way he acted that was different. He was cold and lifeless. A stone.
Dean couldn't fight his angel. So he let the punches rain down, he let Cas beat him bloody.
"I know you can hear me. Please, it's me. We're family," he croaked, "we need you...I need you." He paused and looked up at Cas, a pleading look on his face. But Castiel's face was a hard mask.
"Goodbye Dean," he said flatly. The angel blade flashed and hot pain sliced across the front of his neck. He coughed wetly and blood poured from his lips. He clutched at Cas's trenchcoat and accidentally smeared blood on it. He blinked and coughed more. He was dying. The love of his life had slit his throat and was going to leave him to die.
Dean could feel the energy and life seeping out of his skin and bones. He felt it leeching away and his body got heavy. He was actually going to die.....
He focused his eyes on the thing in front of him, Cas's trenchcoat that was now bloody and even dirtier than before.
"I got blood," he doubled over coughing, "I got blood on your trenchcoat Cas... I'm sorry. I ruined... your trenchcoat. I'm sorry Cas..." He took in another shuddering, gasping breath and then... nothing.
Dean Winchester was dead. The body fell to the floor and lay there, eyes wide, the blood already drying.
The angel Castiel stood over him, still and silent and then he left. He had known of the Winchester's little crush. Dean had thought he felt the same. But the truth was this.
He had never loved Dean Winchester.
