Unexpected Reunion

Chapter 1

(Danny's POV)

As I slowed down to a complete stop before turning around and turning off the motorbike.

"You sure this is the place?" I asked the one who was clinging on for dear life to me.

"Yes this is the place but you didn't have to speed so that I almost fell off when you take sharp turns." said a feminine voice. When they got off and took off the goggles and scarf revealing the long golden blonde hair and stormy gray eyes that were just hidden. "And that incense shouldn't have worked when we got pulled over before."

"It's a real incense ok Annabeth. I got it when we're in Hollywood last year." I told her when I got off my motorbike.

"It was Vegas not Hollywood!" Annabeth said with a stomp of her shoe.

" 'It's leviOsa, not levioSA'. Yeah whatever, Hermione." getting in front of her and poking her nose. "I'm not an idiot, ok that would be fish sticks up there." Pointing my thumb over my shoulder.

" Whatever, let's just get him and go back to camp and fix whatever problem you started." she said looking up at one of the windows trying to find Percy's apartment.

" I didn't do anything ok. Chiron just told me not to tell you or Percy ok." I said with a shrugging my shoulders. " And it must be a big problem if he doesn't want him there."

"And you don't know what it could be or Chiron doesn't know."

"Pretty much, but all I know is the camp isn't itself in some way I guess?" I told her as we waited to catch Percy before he left.

"Annabeth, no one here but I got an idea."

"No we're not doing your plan because it will mostly lead to someone dying."

"What no I won't! No one will die ok." I gave her an angry look that said I wasn't happy about what she just said. "We go to his school and get him."

"Oh, that's actually a smart plan." Annabeth looked like she had just gotten shocked by the stunned look she had. "Are you the same Danny from last year? Did you replace him because you are differently smarter and got a better taste in clothes."

"Ha ha, really nice oh you miss know it all."

Looking down at myself wearing some new sneakers that are black and white crossing together, gray work pants being held up by a blown leather belt with two empty holsters for my swords and with the orange camp half blood under my magic shadow cloak that was taking the form of a black leather biker hoodie and my goggles and scarf that is the one me and Annabeth found last year that used to belong to the goddess Aphrodite.

"And if you didn't complain about my driving skills arguing with me we might have caught him because just left." I say pointing to Percy who already is gone a long way away.

"Well looks like you get to experience what school is like come on, oh and leave your bike here because we're taking a safer way to get to camp." Annabeth said poking my nose was revenge for before.

"Merry Weather Prop school?" I said reading the sign to the school. " So are we going quiet or loud."

"Quiet you idiot. I'll go invisible and you hide in the shadows and try to grab him ok." Annabeth said, getting her cap ready. " You ready?"

"Yeah give me a second I'm changing it into a cloak so I blend more ok." I told her as the shadow cloak started to change its shape back into a cloak. "Ok I'm ready, let's do this."

Annabeth put her cap on and turned invisible while I put the hood on and reached for where her hand was just before.

"What are you doing, let go!" Annabeth sounded angry.

"So we don't get separated. I can't see you and you can't see me."

"Fine!" she said.

After walking around looking in a whole lot of classrooms and find no sign of Percy anywhere but Annabeth tugged my hand.

"He's over there look." Annabeth said.

"Oh my gods yeah I totally see him." trying to sound as sarcastic as possible. "No Annabeth I can't see him or where you're looking because you're invisible like really think please."

"You're useless Danny Prince."

"You're a know it all Annabeth Chase."

"Whatever." Annabeth shaking her head unbeknownst to me. "Percy!"

I finally found where she was referring to but saw him looking around.

"Fish sticks over here!" I called out but that just made him even more confused before he rushed to what I could guess was gym. " Well he is a dumb as I remember him."

"Whatever, let's get him." pulling me with her.

"You want to go into the boys changing room with me that badly." I said to her trying my hardest not to laugh only to fail badly.

"Wh- what n o, what no not in my wildest dreams with you."

I could tell that she was blushing really bad because of her stuttering .

"Oh so you dream of me then?" I said while swinging her hand with my own.

"Yes, wait what no no, never, just shut up will you."

"Ok I'll go easy on you and I'll shut up ok, but let's go though Percy's things because he just went through the gym and I'll grab his stuff you wait out the front for me, ok."

"Ok"

With that I went into the changing room for about five or so minutes before finding Percy's things and Riptide in his pants. And quickly going out and wildly grabbing the air to find where Annabeth was.

"Annabeth, where are you?" I asked. "Are you still here?"

I looked around trying to find her but when I looked through the door I saw what looked like giants and Percy with someone that was taller than Annabeth because she's just slightly taller than me but I'm taller than Percy which is a huge difference in height. I tried to open the door while people were on the other side trying to open it but it was jammed by something.

So I quickly grabbed my pen and transformed it into its spear form and broke the lock only for the door to slam into my face because of the people on the other side knocking me to the floor while they all ran away.

As I was getting back up and grabbing Percy's clothes back from the floor only for something to go flying past my head and landing with a KA BOOM! And if I wasn't awake before I definitely would be now.

" God damn it fish sticks. I come all this way to come and get you only to die like what the hell." I yelled at Percy taking off my hood.

"Danny? What are you doing here?" asked a dumbfounded Percy.

"No!" Percy screamed out when someone got sent flying into the wall by what I would call a dodgeball from hell. The person tried to stand back up only to fall to his knees.

"Well!" giant gloated. 'I'm the last one standing! I'll have enough meat to bring babycakes a doggy bag!"

He picked up another ball and aimed it at the really tall kid.

"Percy catch!" I yelled to him as I threw him Riptide only for him to miss the catch completely by a mile. "Really Percy, really and are you going to help out Annabeth?."

As I was readying to throw my spear at the giant, only a knife to rip the giant's t-shirt open and the ball he was holding fell to the ground and then poofed into a cloud of green flames.

"You really took your time Annabeth." I said walking up to Percy and giving him back his clothes then turning to see Annabeth standing in the smoke from the fire.

"That's the girl and boy... That's the girl-" Annabeth punched him in the nose and knocked him flat. "And you", she told him, "lay off my friend."

The gym was in flames. Kids were still running around screaming. I heard sirens wailing and a garbled voice over the intercom. Through the glass windows of the exit doors.

"Danny and Annabeth..." stammered Percy. "How did you two ... how long have you two..."

"Pretty much all morning." She sheathed her bronze knife. "We've been trying to find a good time to talk to you, but you were never alone."

"The shadow I saw this morning – that was –" His face looked hot. "Oh my gods, you were looking in my bedroom window?"

"Yes Percy, we were looking into your bedroom apartment that is at least 3 to 4 stories tall from the ground." I said.

"There!" a woman screamed. The doors burst open and the adults came pouring in.

"Meet us outside," Annabeth told him and pulled me with her. "And him." She pointed to the kid who was still sitting dazed against the wall. Annabeth gave him a look of distaste that I didn't quite understand. "You'd better bring him."

"Oh great, we're kidnaping people now, just great." I say with a sigh.

"What?" Percy replied.

"No time!" she said. "Hurry!" She put on her Yankees baseball cap, which was a magic gift from her mom, and instantly vanished while putting my hood on and running while out hands tightly holding on to each other.
