"One cabin, a big problem"

(( so sorry for not publishing any new chapters, believe me it was a struggle for me to find the time and a device to write on. My summer holidays have been going here in Australia, and ever since it started I've had to give back my laptop to the school since it kinda, well- belongs to the school, and I'm moving states sometime soon, so writing is going to be hard. But I will try my best to continue this story. I will do better hopefully.

The cold, harsh wind blew  stronger with each blow, and it didn't make walking in the thick white snow any less easier to walk on. Though, to Ivan, this was just a normal walk to the nearby town. It was the same weather as it had been since the day he was born, and at this point he didn't care, despite his hate for the cold. He was so used to the feeling that it eventually felt like nothing to him.

Ivan's heavy winter boots left deep footprints in the snow as he walked, but it wasn't long till his traces were filled up with more snow. With his scarf flying in the wind and his hair a mess from the strong winter breeze, he let out a sigh and stopped to look at his surroundings. It was plain snow and trees from what he could see. Nothing new, nothing flashy.

Violet eyes scanned the place for a few minutes before blinking, causing Ivan to shake his head as he had gotten lost in thought. He continued to walk again, wondering what his boyfriend was doing as he did. The best he could guess was Alfred trying to figure out why he could no longer see by himself. The Russian chuckled at the thought, but it also made him sad. That, what happened with Alfred and what he did to the American, he could never forgive himself.. even if he knew he had to do it. It was for Alfred's sake.

Ivan was quick to snap out of those thoughts. Besides, right now he had to head to the town and get some painkillers and such. It wasn't very long till he had reached the town. The place wasn't very big, more like a small suburb covered in a blanket of moon-white snow. It was quaint, and peaceful. Though it was more quiet, unlike Moscow, it felt perfect to Ivan.

As he walked along the streets, not many were out, as the harsh weather was a bit too much for people to come out. Some stores were open, but he was certain the pharmacy was open, and if it wasn't he'd simply just find the whoever owns the building and make them open it.

Ivan hummed softly, spotting a small coffee shop that he'd often visit when in town. He thought a little bit and decided to get a warm cup of Cappuccino. He liked the warmth. He quickly ordered and paid, picking up the coffee cup. As he did so, the phone in one of his coat pockets started to ring. A small look of confusion showed up on his face. He wasn't expecting any calls, and the world meeting should've ended by now.

Taking His phone out, Ivan read the name of the caller. 'Natalya'. Ivan's younger sister and someone he usually doesn't want to make eye contact with. He'd usually be scared, or concerned, but not this time. He picked up, moving the phone to his ear as he took a sip from his coffee and started making his way to the pharmacy again.

"Privet Natalya, doing good? Have you been able to know anything" He began the talk after clearing his throat. "Brother," an accented woman's voice spoke. "I managed to get a glance, but with the current security still searching the damn place, I couldn't get close." Natalya groaned. Ivan sighed, biting his bottom lip. "And, brother, why do you care about whatever's left of the cabin? The American was insane, and the storm was what he deserved! How do you even know Alfred had gone to this cabin??? The burger-lover could've gone anywhere!" She questioned. She didn't know why her older brother insisted she check out the aftermaths of Alfred's cabin after a storm struck it. Natalya could have honestly cared less about the American if Ivan wouldn't have told her that he's looking for him. But for her brother, she'll help. Made it easier for her to be with her brother more now.

Ivan took another sip from his coffee, making a turn from the street. "Sister, it's because finding him is important. That's the only house he has in the area, so maybe h-" Ivan's talk was cut short suddenly but a loud, annoyed groan "That guy is stupid and insane! It'd be foolish of him to run back to his cabin. Who does that?!" It was true that, after Alfred made his escape from his institution cell, which was located in a forest somewhere in the U.S since Alfred's government wouldn't allow him to leave the country (which was probably for the best), with little time to spare and his mind not stable, he had no choice but to retreat to one of his many homes in hopes that he could hide out for a bit from what he was running from.. but that plan didn't go so well for him.

Ivan's mind swirled with thoughts and memories of that day, of how frightened Alfred looked when lightning struck the trees and fell onto the cabin. It was all so vivid in his mind, and he hated himself that he couldn't stop Alfred quick enough. That if he could have stopped Alfred in time, the blonde may have just kept his sight. The thoughts made him shudder, glancing around as he spotted the pharmacy. "Natalya, I know his actions are a bit, strange, but he wasn't right in the mind then. And I went to go check up on him, da, and I realized he escaped," Ivan answered her, making his way across the road and into the Pharmacy building. Natalya was confused. Why would Ivan bother checking up on America in the first place? For all she knows, Ivan doesn't even like Alfred. Something wasn't right to her.

"Uh... right. Well he still got away, so I doubt he's there. It's a waste of time to search there! The place has burnt down! He could be in any other place by now!" Natalya actually sounded a little worried about this now, which came as a shock to the Russian. But, it wasn't long till her tone went back to normal. "I'm leaving the country, I can't stand to be in this pig's country for any longer," she stated, making Ivan sigh once more as he walked along the isle, searching for what medicine he needed for Alfred. "Alright sister, I just hoped, maybe there was something left in the cabin that could've helped us find him.. and help him," he said.

"Прощай(goodbye), Big brother." Прощай." Natalya hung up as Ivan moved his phone away from his ear, making him stare at the screen for a minute. He thought that, since he wasn't able to be around the burnt cabin what with the US security searching the place for possible traces of Alfred, he wanted Natalya to check it out because of her habits of going unseen by people and jumping out and surprising them without notice. It had frightened Ivan in the past when she would do that. He worried someone could find something Ivan or Alfred may have left out after the Russian managed to the North American country out of the burning building. Everything had happened so quickly that Ivan had no time to stop and check what happened. Right now, he just had to hope no one would find out. That no possible tracks or signs of his presence were there.

The ashen blonde placed his phone back into his coat, found the medicine he needed and headed for the counter. Ivan made his way to the counter to pay, running a hand through his hair, a look of slight distress coming to his face as he kept thinking about the cabin. "One Cabin, a big problem..." he whispered to himself. After the cashier placed the medicine in a bag, the Russian picked it up and headed out, hoping he wasn't going to find Alfred doing anything stupid when he comes back.
