Arthur Frederick was searching around the crowd, looking for at least one friend to talk to. So many influencers that he didn't know and others that didn't want to talk to him. He looked over and saw Chris. Thanking whatever god that had made him see his childhood friend. Arthur walked and tapped Chris on the shoulder. The smaller man turned around and grinned at his friend. Chris was visibly intoxicated and becoming more so with each sip of his drink.

"Alright?" He asked Arthur.

"Are you drunk already?" Arthur asked him.

"No.." Chris lied. "Okay yeah I am. Is there any water around here?"

"I'll get you some. Stay here." Arthur made his way towards the bar, his mission clear: to fetch water for his intoxicated friend, Chris. As he weaved through the throngs of people and trying not to push into anyone.

He made it to the bar, the bartender looked at Arthur, concerned and asked him what he wanted.

"Two bottles of water, please." He responded and the bartender nodded. He walked to the fridge and then handed over the waters. Arthur tried to get his card out but the waiter just shook his head.

"Free bar." He told him. Arthur nodded and walked back to Chris.

'So that's how he got so drunk so quickly.' Arthur thought.

He arrived back to Chris and gave him the water he desperately needed. Chris started to chug it back and Arthur shook his head.

"You're gonna be sick mate." Arthur told him, which made Chris stop.

"Okay." Chris nodded.

As Arthur scanned the bustling venue, his gaze swept across the animated crowd, searching for familiar faces. Amidst the crowd of people, he caught sight of Lex, her radiant smile illuminating the space as she stood beside Harry.

A pang of disheartenment washed over Arthur at the sight of them together, a twinge of jealousy tugging at his heartstrings. However, before he could dwell on his feelings, Lex spotted him and beckoned him over with an inviting gesture, her hands gesturing eagerly and her smile infectious. With a mix of hesitation and curiosity, Arthur approached, and Chris tagging along beside him.

"Hi," Lex smiled.

"Hi." Arthur returned her smile.

"Television, what's going on mate?" Harry nodded and referred to the little intoxicated man stood next to Arthur.

"Free bar." Arthur laughed.

"Chris you good?" Harry asked him and Chris nodded as he drank more water.

"How have you been?" Arthur asked Lex.

"Good." She nodded, "How have you been?"

"Good."

There was a slight awkwardness in the air between the two.

"Right, I'm gonna check on the boys love. Is that okay?" Harry asked Lex.

Arthur felt more bitterness when he called her 'Love.' He didn't understand where this jealousy and annoyance came from. They were just friends.

"Yeah that's fine. I'll just hang with Arthur and Chris." Lex nodded.

"I'll be back in a few." Harry smiled as he walked off.

"So you and Mr Lewis?" Chris smirked. "I always thought you and Arth-" Chris was cut off by Arthur hitting him around the head. "Ow."

"Sorry what?" Lex laughed.

"He's just pissed." Arthur nodded. "But yeah, when did you and Harry become a thing?"

"Honestly we're not even a thing. He invited me to come here as his date. This is the second time I met him. The first time was at Chris' house party."

"Oh." Arthur replied.

"I'm pretty sure he's just being nice." She smiled

"Harry never invites girls to Sidemen events." Chris told her.

"Chris, will you shut up?" Arthur rolled his eyes.

"What? It's true when was the last time you saw Harry invite a girl to a sidemen event?" Chris told him. "He was with Katie for like six years and when that ended he just kinda drank everything away."

Lex remained quiet. Arthur looked up at her with an apologetic expression, Chris realised his mistake.

"Shit Lex, I'm sorry I'm just drunk." Chris tried to reassure her.

"Honestly it's none of my business." Lex said. "But maybe don't say people's issues to their dates?" Lex suggested.

"I fucked up didn't I?" Chris sighed, ashamed.

"It's fine." Lex told him. "Just drink some more water, love."

Harry came back to the group, looking stressed. "Fuck."

Lex looked up at him, "You okay?"

"Bartender dropped out, now the guy who's doing the bar and the booth is complaining that he can't serve everyone."

"Haven't you guys got a call in?" Lex asked.

"No, TP usually handles this but she's really busy." Harry replied. "This whole night is fucked."

"I can do it." Lex offered. Arthur and Chris looked at each other weirdly.

"What? No." Harry shook his head.

"Let me do it." Lex said. "Where's the rest of your friends?" She asked.

Arthur looked at her, questioning if she really wanted to do this or was it because it's what she knew.

Harry sighed. "This is not the way I wanted you to meet them."

"I'm offering, now Harry please go get them." She reassured him.

"Okay." Harry walked off to go find the rest of the Sidemen.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Arthur asked. "Like there's a lot of people here."

"I've done festivals and events before." Lex said. "Also it's easier, they don't have to pay here."

"Yeah but are you sure?" Arthur asked her again.

"I'm sure." Lex smiled.

Within minutes later, all of the sidemen came over to gather over Lex, Arthur and Chris.

"Is that KSI?" Lex asked Arthur.

"Yeah didn't you know he was apart of the Sidemen?"

"No. I've only listened to his music at the nightclub a few times. What the fuck?" Lex raised her eyebrows at Arthur.

"Is this your girl bog?" One of the boys asked loudly.

"Ethan man, shut up." Harry shook his head.

Lex smiled at the boys and introduced herself. "Hi I'm Lex."

"Hi I'm JJ."

"I'm Vik."

"Hi I'm Tobi." He said as he hugged her.

"Simon."

"Josh."

"I'm Ethan. Bog what's happening?" He asked Harry.

"Lex said she's gonna cover the bartender issue for us."

"Oh sweet, do you know someone?" JJ asked.

"I was more thinking, I can do it." Lex replied.

All of the boys looked at each other confused.

"Is there an issue?" Lex asked.

"Not an issue but why would you want to?" Josh asked

"To make the event easier on you guys. I've been a bartender since I was eighteen. I've done festivals and events before." Lex told him.

"Yeah but it's just that, you're a guest." Tobi tried to explain. "We want you to have fun."

"I'm happy to work." Lex reassured them.

"Okay." He nodded. "I'll show you where you need to go." Tobi smiled at her.

"Thank you." Lex nodded and she followed Tobi. The only people that were left was the rest of the Sidemen, Chris and Arthur.

"I swear to god Bog, if you don't go out with her - Tobi might." Ethan laughed.

"Yeah I mean what kind of person goes to a party and helps out? I actually like her man." JJ nodded.

"Honestly boys, I don't think she's interested." Harry admitted to them. Arthur walked a little back so he wasn't too involved in the conversation.

"Arthur, you know Lex don't you?" Simon asked him.

"Yeah?"

"What do you reckon, her and Harry then?" Ethan asked him.

"Not my place." Arthur admitted.

"He's right you know." Josh told them.

"Nah come on g," JJ said. "I think her and Harry would be a hot couple cause have you seen her man? She's actually fit."

"Do you want her JJ?" Vik laughed.

"Nah man I'm happy in my relationship but I know she's fire." JJ laughed. "Any man knows she's fire. Even Arthur knows it."

Arthur shook his head and laughed. "What do you mean even Arthur knows."

"You're telling me if you ever had the opportunity, you wouldn't." JJ asked.

Arthur looked at Harry, who was waiting by for his response. Arthur could tell Harry was going to hit him if he answered wrong.

"She's my friend, JJ." Arthur shook his head.

"Anyway, she's not some prize to win." Harry told them all. "So can we just leave it."

The group nodded and turned around to see Lex at the bar, enjoying it. She confidently manned the bustling bar, skillfully mixing drinks with precision and flair. With a natural grace, she navigated the array of bottles and glasses, fulfilling orders with a smile. Her interactions with customers were by charm and efficiency, as she effortlessly juggled multiple tasks while she kept maintained.

"Tell you what Arthur. I think you've fucked up not telling her how you feel." Chris whispered to him.

"Yeah I did." Arthur sighed.
