Wrongdoing

Heed now people

children heed he.

He who is the ruler.

Do not cower

for he won’t hurt you.

The ruler stepped forward

and began to speak.

His decision is steadfast

it will not change.

There are infinite ways

to not break the rules;

but one did.

He must now come forth

and pay the price

of his wrongdoing.

A man came forth

tall and lean.

He lay his head

upon a small table.

A man stepped forward

with an opaque ax.

The man upon the table

shivered with fear.

The ax was raised

the deed was done.

Everyone left

all with sick expressions
