Phone Calls.

Rosie's P.O.V

I sat on the bleachers waiting for my friends to finish changing. I had Rose's jacket on, along with a white top and jeans. The jacket smelled like her, which made me smile. I spotted my friends and ran down to walk with them.

"Ugh, so Ricky cheated on me with that Chelsea bitch." Tabitha spat.

"Awh, Tabby you poor thing." Liv said while rubbing her shoulder.

"I honestly thought he loved me. But he was really just a small tool." Tabitha snickered, making the other girls snicker.

"Rosie, you have been oddly quiet lately anything-" I quickly cut her off. "No, don't worry about me. Nothing out of the normal has happened to me in ages." I felt so stupid.

"Well alright then. So anyways-" I stopped listening after that. I knew I had to hide Rose, I wasn't even sure if she liked me. I just knew that no one could know but us. The cool air reminded me of our walks. She's walked me home every Tuesday after practice. But with the winter season coming up and her season being over, she hasn't walked me home in at least a month. I haven't really spoken to her to be fair. I never asked for her number when we went on walks, I just liked  being next to her. I knew I would get to see her soon, no matter the cost.

I walked into my house. My mother and Step-Dad sat on the couch watching TV. I walked up the stairs, my baby sister running past me to her room. My oldest brother in his room with his headphones on, my second oldest in his room bouncing a football against the wall. I walked into mine, the pink walls sparkling with teenage youth. I put Rose's jacket on my bed, kicking my shoes off and sending them flying against the wall. I sat on the side of my bed. I took my hair out of its bun, making it fall to my shoulders. I ruffled it softly with my hand. As I took my socks off, my phone buzzed next to me. An unknown number flashed on the screen. I picked it up and answered it.

"Heyo! It's Rose. Is this Rosie?"

"Maybe." I smiled at the sound of Rose's voice.

"Oh come on. I know it's you, Rosie." Rose laughed over the phone.

"You caught me. How are you? We haven't spoken in ages." I held the phone close to my cheek, loving the feeling of her voice making the phone vibrate.

"I've been good actually. But I've really missed our walks." She said, her voice soft and cute. "I also miss your smile." I blushed a bright pink.

"Oh. Thank you. I've missed you too. Do you, I don't know, maybe-"

"Do I want to come over?" She read my mind. "Yes I would love to, I'll be over by 7."

"Sounds great, I'll be ready." I said, already mentally getting ready.

"Okay! See you soon." Her cute voice ended with a beep from the phone.
