It's been three days since Maddox and I arrived at the forest that surrounds the sleeping dragons' mountain and we are both starting to doubt the information we got on these sorcerers because all of the scents are old and all the trails ended up being false ones. Maddoxs wolf is starting to get really agitated and he's having a hard time keeping in control, he keeps lashing out whenever we follow a trail and it ends up leading to absolutely fucking nowhere and to be honest so I am I'm going fucking crazy in this stupid goddamn forest. I think we have to say fuck the 'trails' and just go in a direction until we find something, we more than likely have to go even deeper into the forest as well and the thing that sucks the most is that I can't even use any spells or magic that isn't using my reaper abilities because if they really are here using spells and magic will give us away and we could get ambushed or they could flee and we won't even know it.

We set up a bunch of hidden cameras all throughout the forest in hope that we might find something, please for the love of God let us find something, just one fucking thing. I've been looking at these laptop screens for hours and there is jack shit, Maddox is out there in his wold form right now running around trying to find something but I doubt he will. I sigh and take a deep breath, think me think what can I do to find them, I am half reaper for fucks sake so I should know if someones going to die and if Maddox and I are going to complete this mission a lof of sorcerers are gonna die, come on me you don't need a fucking list to do it just concentrate. My heart stops beating and the world goes still, I can feel death, not my Father Death but death as in people dying, I can them, holy shit I can see them, in my mind? I can see them in my mind, there's fucking hundreds of them so no wonder we can't find them, they're all using black magic to hide their camp.

I can see that their base is completely surrounded by rot and decay, completely surrounded, that could be a huge fucking clue to where they are. Okay me concentrate harder,  when are they going to die? My heart beats once, in...three days? We do have to stalk them and figure out what they're planning before we kill them, plus it would take a day or two to get to where they are. A branch snaps and my heart starts beating again, the world moves again, I open my eyes to see Maddox stepping into our area with a massive scowl on his face. I'm gonna have to get up in the sky above the forest to see where the huge area of rot and decay is, I don't think I've ever jumped that high before and I don't know if I can fly but there is a first time for everything right?

I get up from my spot and look at the trees, wait a minute... I can climb the trees to the top and then do a jump, yeah that'll work! I grin at Maddox and he looks at me with confusion, I ran over to the closest tree and jump on it, time to start climbing, I start racing up the tree, they're quite large and tall so it might take a little bit even with my demonic abilities. I eventually reach the top and I stand up, its trees everywhere plus the mountain, hey I think I can see Maddoxs palace from here. Okay me get ready to jump, I crouch down on top of the tree and make my jump, I fly up in the air and look around from my higher vantage point, holy shit! I fucking see it! It's at the base of the mountain but not too close to it, it's a huge area of rot and decay, and its the only area that big.

I fall back down and I miss the tree, fuck. I start falling super fast towards the ground hitting a bunch of branches on the way down, that's gonna hurt in the morning.

"MADDOX! CATCH ME!" I scream out, hopefully, he hears me else I am gonna be in a lot of pain. I fall and fall and I smell the dirt, shit I don't think he heard me, I hear a loud snarl and i get knocked out of the air and wrapped up in something soft, squishy but still somehow muscly, we land on the ground with a thump but I barely take any damage. I groan and push away from what's holding me, oh shit, he did hear me.

"Mads?" He growls at me and pushes me up onto my feet with his snout, I smile, and give him some scratches behind his big ear.

"Good boy" He snarls at me and steps away whacking me in the face with his tail, ouch, I laugh and follow him.

"Wait, Mads I found them" He whips his big head towards me with wide eyes and runs back to me, he shifts before my eyes, he's fucking naked.

"Where?" He huffs out

"Mmm" I turn away "Clothes dickhead"

"Oh...right right I don't wanna die just yet," He says referring to Plague, I laugh and keep staring at a random tree while he gets changed into new clothes.

"You're lucky I heard you sweetheart, you own me some new clothes I didn't have time to strip" He tells me.

I nod "Yeah yeah whatever hurry up we gotta go"

"Alright lead the way" I quickly pack everything up and start heading in the direction of the massive area of rot and decay, it's about a days walk away, could be more but my brain told me three days until they die, so it's a day or two away give or take no longer than that.

"We can't get too close so we'll set up camp tonight once were a few hours away then ill glamour us so we won't be detected and we can get closer and if possible infiltrate the camp" I tell Maddox as we walk deeper into the forest. Hopefully, my training has paid off and I can get us in, I mean I did manage to sneak into Vanessa quarters without being detected by Plague which is saying something. After a few hours it's gotten dark and we are close enough to the rot but far enough away that they won't notice us, we set up the perimeter and cameras just in case one or two come wandering over here.

Maddox sets up a bunch of sticks for a campfire and places a pot over it, I light the fire for him and watch the laptop screens just in case, first we're gonna eat then we'll head for the camp, gotta rest up and gain back our energy from walking for hours. Maddox cooks up some chorizo and bacon and we dig in, we can't be fucked to cook an actual meal. We finish eating and we blow out the fire, he changes into some stealth clothes, I was already wearing mine, I pull up my mask so it covers most of my face and we head off to the large area of rot and decay. It takes us about three hours to reach the outskirts of it but we've reached it that's for sure, the area is way bigger than what I thought it was.

I grab on Maddox's arm "Alright I'm gonna need you to hold onto me at all times so you don't get out of the glamour" He grabs onto my wrist tightly.

"Alright lead the way" He says, I concentrate and close my eyes and glamour us, okay easy part is over, time for the hard part, getting inside their ward without being detected. Okay me get through the barrier without being detected use your reaper abilities, come on we can do it. I apparate through the barrier with ease, it worked, I think, we walk further in the rot and decay until we reach the middle where the camp is, as I saw in my mind, hundreds of them. We walk further in, we've gotta find the tent where they have all their plans, I see a huge tent in the very middle of the entire camp, everything is based around it. That's gotta be it, we walk towards it and step inside, there are about five sorcerers standing around a round table.

"When do we kill the dragon?" Sorcerer one asks.

"Next week we are still scouting out the surrounding territories and finding out what they know" Sorcerer two.

"We still have to report everything back to the boss, he'll be here once we kill the dragon" Sorcerer three. Hmm, I wonder who they're working for.

"We still need the power of the forest before we make our attack on the pups of the packs, we need to wipe out their next generation and fill the older dogs with grief so they cant attack us back" Sorcerer four. Jesus Christ their plan is killing all of the pups of the wolf and Lycan packs what kind of sick fucks, I feel Maddoxs grip on my wrist tighten, it feels like he's gonna break it. I grab onto his arm and pet him to try and calm him down, we won't let that happen.

"So we kill the pups and attack them while they're in grief? The allied forces army will take a huge hit from this, the boss will be happy" The last sorcerer says. They all leave the tent, leaving behind a bunch of papers and maps, I walk us forwards to go look at them, the maps are off the wolf and Lycan packs and one or two of the vampire covens and one of Plagues territory, shit. I take out my phone and take photos of everything but we can't kill them just yet because not all the information is on these papers and maps, most of the info we need is from the mouths of the sorcerers, we have to watch them a bit longer.

We leave the tent and I apparate us back to the outside of the ward of their home base, we walk back to our little camp, Mads sit down on the ground and lays down. I lay down next to him, its time to sleep, glamouring and getting through those wards takes a lot of energy.

We've been watching and listening to the main five sorcerers for a few hours now, we still haven't learned who their working for but we know they plan on attacking most of the wolf and Lycan packs and a few of the vampire covens, which if they succeed which they won't cause were gonna kill them tomorrow. We haven't found much more good information other than that and them killing the dragon to take its power, which is bad very bad but they ain't gonna get to that point. We've been recording everything on these little devices for Maddox to take back. They aren't really focusing on anything other than the attack and the dragon, I think they're just doing one thing at a time, and judging by the smell of the place they've been here for longer than what I originally thought, about six months by the smell of it. I think they might be getting orders from the boss every few months or something like that, apparently, their boss doesn't like telling them the full plan.

We sit in the massive tent listening to them but they just keep going over their plans and not giving us any more new information, the reason why the forest is full of rot and decay is that they are drawing power from it. We've already sent some of the recordings and photos back to Death and back to Maddoxs palace, both Death and the palace will tell everyone else in a few days once we come back and the sorcerers have been done with, well of course all but one.

We head back to our camp for the night, we need to rest and energy because tomorrow is when they die, if we wipe out the enemies large sorcerer army, we have a better advantage in this war. A war that I didn't even know was a war up until this week, I just thought it was Plagues war with people that hated him but turns out it's against everyone in the allied forces against an unknown enemy. We ended up sleeping through the night with no problems, now its time for a slaughter fest, we stalk our way over to their camp, already glamoured we can't risk them using magic to get away. We make our way inside the ward with ease, Maddox made the decision the shift into his wolf before which was a good idea since if he let go of me once we were inside the glamour would have left him. I would just stop time to kill them, but I'm not exactly the best at it, and plus it would take all the fun away,

We can't risk them getting away so we gotta somehow kill them really quick but while still being under the glamour, this is gonna be a toughie but since they only use magic which is something I can counter we do have an advantage, we've been learning at school plus Death has been giving me extra training for it.  I look up at Maddoxs giant wolf bear form, he somehow manages to grin at me with his razor-sharp fangs, I nod at him and he nods back. Time to attack. I let go of his fur but for some reason, my glamour protecting him from being seen doesn't disappear, it actually stays. I watch him as he rips into a bunch of the sorcerers and swallows them whole, the others start screaming in fear, they try to use their magic but I stop them, they can't fight back and they can't escape us. I grin, time for some fun, I take out my blades and start slitting the throats and gutting them, I giggle as blood splatters all over me.

We continue completely annihilating the sorcerer army, all but one, one of the five, i call Maddox over to me, he stops chomping on the corpses. I un glamour us and the last one standing looks at us with wide eyes.

I sigh "Sorry bud but you're coming with us" He glares at us and takes out a knife from his cloak, i know what he's tryna do cause he knows what we're gonna do. He brings the blade down on his chest but my hand stops it from penetrating his chest any further.

"Tsk tsk tsk, naughty witch" I knock him out and tie him up in chains, I turn to Maddox.

"Carry him will ya?" He snarls at me but picks up the chained sorcerer in his jaws, I hold on to Maddoxs fur and apparate us to the car where we put all of our stuff in before we went to the fun. Maddox shifts and places the chained man in the boot of the car, he shifts and changed into his clothes cause he's gotta drive back to his palace, I take my bag out of the car and put it on my shoulders.

"Well..." I say "See ya next time then" Maddox walks over to me and pets me on the head.

"Thanks for the help sweetheart, ya did good."

I scoff "Aww fuck off we both know you couldn't have done this without me" We laugh and say our goodbyes, he gets in his car and drives down the road back to his palace. I sigh and look back at the mountain, sleeping dragon huh? I've never met one before. Oh well, time to go home, I've missed out on a whole week of school and training, I don't wanna get behind. I apparate back to the entrance of Deaths castle and head inside going straight for my room, I know I gotta report back to Dad but I wanna drop off my bag first. I unlock my door and chuck the bag onto the bed and head for the gym where Dad and the boys will most likely bed, I open the training room doors and see i was correct, they're training.

"Yoh I'm back" I call out, they all stop and turn to look at me

"NOAH!" Silas screeches and charges for me, his hands grab my waist and he picks me up wrapping me him as he twirls me around.

"I'VE MISSED YOU" I cringe as he screams in my ear, I giggle and hug him tightly.

"I missed you to Silas its less fun without you around" He giggles and puts me back on the ground but continues to hug me, despite the fact that I am covered in blood.

Death clears his throat "How'd it go?"

I nod "Yeah good I sent you everything about it and they're all dead except for who seemed to be the leader, Mads took him back to the palace for interrogation"

He nods "Good good, well done you go get some rest you were gone for over a week" Silas lets me go with a sad sigh.

I smile "Don't worry we'll play video games tomorrow when I get home from school" He grins and claps excitedly before going back to training with Cyrus, I turn around and exit the training room heading back to my room, I am in need of a warm shower and a good sleep, I'll wake up for dinner which is a few hours away. I reach my room and have a long warm shower, chucking my dirty clothes in the dirty clothes basket, I can't be bothered using magic to clean them. I put my oodie on and face plant straight onto my bed, mmm cloud bed so comfy...

I wake up to Silas grinning at me, oh great.

"Wakey wakey Noah, your Dad told me to wake you up, you're gonna be late, we gave you the morning off from training so hurry up and get ready for school" He rambles, I groan and kick off the covers, I forgot I had school when I got back yesterday, ughh...Silas rolls off the bed and stands up and runs out of my room, I swear I locked that door last night. I get off the bed and don't bother having a shower, I don't have the time, I just go to my wardrobe and pick out any clothes that I see are black and chuck them on, I honestly can't be fucked. I groan and lazily pack my bag, I didn't expect to be this tired after that mission but I am, ugh I don't think I like missions anymore if it makes me this tired.

Oh, great just realized I don't have time to eat breakfast, this day officially fucking sucks total fucking ass. I stomp my way out of Death's castle and I apparate to the entrance of the school with a big scowl on my face, Soren, Miles, and Maisie are waiting for me as usual at the front steps.

"YO!" Soren calls out "Where the fuck have you been Noah?" I groan and walk up to them.

"Dads started to send me on missions, I had my first one last week, it ended up being a long one," I tell them with a sigh.

"Wait did you go alone?" Miles asks me.

"Nah it was Maddox and i" Their eyes widen.

"Maddox as in the Big Bad Wold, the fucking Lycan king?" They ask in unison, I laugh.

"Yeah that's the one" I say "Come on we're already late and that dicks already gonna scream at us so let's go" They all groan as they realize and we head inside the school building, today's gonna be a shit day for me cause of how fucking tired and drained I, am well nothing I can do about it.

As I predicted the day was shit and now I'm in a shit mood walking ahead of my friends as they walk excitedly behind me, they somehow managed to convince me to ask my Dad to see if they can come train with us this afternoon and guess fucking what, he said yes. I ain't mad about it all just genuinely shocked that he said yes, but I guess he would think it's funny to see them get their asses kicked the boys and himself. He said if they do well against them they can come train with us after school twice a week, which will be really cool cause I don't get to be with them outside of school.

"Noah Noah Noah, do you think Silas will like us?" I look up and see Miles and Maisie looking at with wide eyes filled with excitement.

"Uhh ooft I don't actually know, Silas is a bit of a wild card" I tell them, their eyes drop a bit but they are still super excited to meet their idol. It's actually kinda cute seeing them all excited about this, Soren slows down and walks next to me.

"You doing okay?" He asks me.

I sigh "Yeah just tired from that mission, really drained me"

He pulls me to him "Come ere" He picks me up and piggybacks me, I wrap my legs around his stomach and my arms around his shoulders and throat, I make sure not to choke him. We reach Deaths castle in five minutes, the gang looks up at it in awe, I forgot that not everyone has seen or been inside of it before. I climb down from Soren and walk up the stairs to the front entrance, I open the door and step inside, I look behind me and see that they haven't moved from the front lawn of the castle.

"Well come on then" They snap out of their trance and race up the steps, they follow me inside and I lead them to my room so we can put our bags down before we start training. We head to the training room where the boys and Dad are waiting for us, I open the door to the training room to see all of them lined up with Death in front of them, yep waiting for us. I hear my friends gasp behind me.

"Friends meet the boys and Dad, Dad and the boys meet friends, yall can introduce yourself later let's get to training" I walk straight for my Dad knowing he wanted to train with me separately today so see my progress over these past two months and I think he mentioned that he was gonna teach me something else but I wasn't listening cause I was too tired. I watch as my friends introduce themselves to the boys they pair up, well except for Rowan cause that man is a cranky bitch one hundred percent of the time.

"Alright first thing first we'll see your progress than after I'm gonna teach you how to soul suck so you can go on soul runs on your own if you want" Death tells me and I nod my head in understanding and get into fighting position. We fought for about half an hour then Dad and I took a break to watch my friends get their asses kicked, but to be fair they were holding up pretty well against the boys, so the chances that they get to train here with us is pretty high.

A few hours later and I know how to soul suck, Death had to take me into the human world and take us on a small soul to teach me to do it, It was actually a lot easier than what I thought it would be, soul-sucking apparently comes naturally to reapers, even halflings like me. My friends left to go home with the happy news that my Dad and the top four reapers would be training them twice a week, their parents are going to be very proud.

Me and the boys continued to train until six pm, dinner time, Cyrus made us his delicious food and then the boys and Dad except for Silas went on their nightly soul runs, I had told Silas we could play video games after school so we are playing before we go on our run. We finish our game and leave, we got changed before we played the game so we don't have to worry about that.

"Alright are we doing our normal and going after the sick scum of the earth or we mixing it up a bit this time?" I ask Silas

"Well it isn't really fun if we aren't torturing pieces of shit"

I nod "Yeah Nah fair fair" I grab onto Silas so he can apparate us to where we need to go for this soul run, nine out of ten times is some dodgy ass bar in one of the human cities. We apparate in front of once again a dodgy as fuck bar, why is it that all of the pieces of shit are always in places like these? Seems like shit attracts shit. We walk inside the bar hiding our selves with our abilities and we start killing everybody on the list that is in this bar, we jump from place to place killing pieces of shit humans, I did a whole bunch of soul-sucking and it made me feel so much stronger, I fucking love eating souls.

Silas and I spent hours jumping from place to place shortening the list, I ate so many souls that instead of feeling powerful I started to feel sick, I ate too much so Silas had to bring me home cause I could barely lift my blade. I spent like an hour crying into my pillow cause I felt so sick, then I cried for another ten minutes because I realized i had homework that was due tomorrow, it was all the shit I missed while I was on my mission. I stopped crying, sped through all of the homework, it is very possible that I may have gotten a few answers wrong...okay maybe more than a few I wasn't really giving a shit about it.

I snuggle into my oodie after having a shower after stressing myself out with all the homework, I turn my TV on and grab out my switch, its time to switch off from the world and mindlessly watch some TV and play Minecraft at the same time. Training to become a reaper is really hard work, especially when you're crammin years and years of training and learning into only one year. I'm actually starting to get a bit scared that I won't finish it before my time here is up, I'm getting scared that I won't complete my goal and if I don't finish it Plague won't give me the time to do it, he will just take me back to his castle, what if he locks me up and never lets me out because he is angry that I left him? What if he takes me back just to reveal that he's been fucking that whore while I was and decided he wanted to be with her and as a big fuck you, he'll force me to live in the castle for the rest of my life.

I know that what my brain is making me think probably won't happen but I'm still scared, this is Plague we're talking about, dudes not mentally stable, and is clinically insane. I know the whole point of me doing this is to find who I am and take some time away from him and of course, complete my goal of becoming a reaper. But what if I really don't finish my training and become a full-fledged reaper before my times up and he really doesn't give me more time, if he...well i was going to say if he really loves me he would but I just realized I have never heard him tell me loves me, so...what if he doesn't love me enough to let me have more time if he doesn't love me enough to do that then he definitely won't work hard for my forgiveness...

Fuck... I think I need more than a year and I don't think it's for becoming a reaper.

A/N: Soren, Miles, and Maisie are now part of the gang and they get to hang out with Noah outside of school. Noah just broke her own heart, poor gal. Also sorry this one is a bit shorter than the other chapters.
