Human/Coffee shop au

A/N: I did the thing.. I made 'em people! AND I did a cafe thingy too!! >=3

'Cept I don't drink coffee and I hardly count as a human myself so I'm sorry if this one don't turn out so hot.. this is all a new experience for me.. ; -;)

Link Hyrule was your normal run of the mill, straight outta his second year of college, blonde boy working a part time job at cozy little local coffee shop on the corner of an old mall strip. Sure, he didn't have many hours or a big pay.. cause it was part time and he gains minimum wage.. but the job, along with another one at the Ice cream shop down the street, was a good start and he was proud that he was out there and doing something with his free time.

"One Frappe with two shots of espresso and mocha." Link watched as his newest co-worker, Marth, wrote down the order of the customer at his counter. Marth looked up and gave the customer a warm, albeit fake, customer service smile and got to work on the nearest coffee machine by his counter. "Thanks for your patronage ma'am, your drink will be ready in no time!" Marth chirped and the 30 to 40 year old woman in a light yellow pantsuit smiled at him. "Thank you miss, you two." The lady strutted off to a seat at a table, leaving Link with a smirk and Marth with a scowl.

"Miss?" Link looked at Marth questioningly and Marth looked disappointed. "This is the third time this week!" Marth sighed as he added in the espresso and finished up the drink of the lady who misgendered him. "I'm telling you dude, it's the hair." Link shrugged his shoulders at the blue haired boy and Marth scoffed. "Ok, yeah, keep talking Rapunzel." Link simply rolled his eyes and Marth called out the customer's name for pickup. "Mocha Frappe with two shots of espresso for a.. Ka-reen?"

Link had to hold in his laughter as the same lady from before walked over and akwardly went, "Oh, I'm sorry but.. It's 'Karen'." Marth looked at her with fake confusion before ringing her up and smiling in an obviously sarcastic way. "Oops, Sorry ma'am. I guess my hair just got in the way of me seeing your name, you know, because it's pretty long for a boy's." Marth passive aggressively glared into her soul and that's when Karen knew she done f-d up.

After that whole moment was over Link couldn't help himself anymore and let out a big fit of laughter as Marth groaned. "Dear christ, every customer who comes in thinks you're a girl Marth!" Link points out and Marth pouts. "Oh yeah, Link? Well if you're so 'manly looking' why don't you put your hair down from that blonde ponytail of yours and see if the next customer doesn't confuse you for a girl." Link grit his teeth at the jab at his ponytail and gave Marth a challenging glare. "Fine," Link agreed. "But you owe me 15 dollars when the next customer doesn't think I'm a girl, like you."

"Oh-ho, it is so on." Marth crossed his arms and watched as Link let down his rather long blonde locks. But the challenge only truly began when a dark black-haired, red eyed, boy in an oversized monochromatic colored sweatshirt and black ripped jeans entered with a frown on his face.

"Hurry up, Pit-stain, we don't have all day!" The darkly dressed stranger stood by the entrance and called out the door. A brunette boy with bright blue eyes dressed in a large fitting Letterman jacket with the initials for the college SSBU and soft colored light blue pants bounced in excitedly and gave a heartwarmingly sweet smile. "Jesus Pittoo, hold your horses, We can't stop at every place we see!" The brunette boy cried out in amusement at the other who looked a bit similar to him.

"Woah those two are like twins, freaky." Marth observed over Link's shoulder and as the two boys walked over Link noticed more about the softer looking brunette boy on the left. Link took in the gold colored crown of leaves in the smiling boy's spiky brown hair and the fluffly white scarf around his neck. There was also a pair of shimmering light blue angel wings on the front of the boy's white shirt and though Link found the attire pretty strange he also thought it made the happy stranger look rather cute.

.. wait, Cute?

Link had never thought of anyone as 'cute' before and blushed. What if this cute looking boy thought he was a girl? Dear god, that'd be embarrassing!

(just casually making them work at a random location cause again, don't know heck about coffee) "Hi, Welcome to Saundra city cafe! May I take your order?" Link asked the two look alike boys now in front of him. With an unamused expression the darker twin spoke first, "I'll have one coffee, just straight black." Of course, Link figured that's what he seemed like he'd order. For some reason, despite their eerily similar faces Link wasn't as enticed by the darker one as he was the cutesy smiling one beside him. And when said boy spoke it was like sweet, flowing honey to his ears.

"Um," the precious looking boy squinted at the menu up above his head, "Do you have anything that's.. not coffee?" He asked and the boy beside him scoffed in distaste. "Seriously moron, this is a coffee shop and it's cold outside. Just man up and order a delicious cup of coffee like any sane person." The brunette boy grimaced with an adorable expression of distaste written all over his face. "But Pittoo, coffee's wayyy too bitter," He held out the 'way' in his sentence and turned to Link. "Sorry sir, but do you have anything sweet here?"

Link smiled. Firstly, he'd been called sir, meaning he won the bet, and second, the look in the lovely blue eyes of the boy in front of him warmed Link's heart and it was just so uplifting. "Yes of course, we have many smoothies and frappes, but considering it is cold outside we do also have hot chocolate." Link offered and the cute boy's face lit up. "I'll take a hot chocolate please!" The boy ordered and Link got two white cups for the both of them.

"Names?" Link asked, anticipating the name of the boy he'd found and interest in. "Dark, Dark Pit." The darker one spoke, turning to his twin who coughed out a mocking, "Pittoo" as the other spoke. "Oh um, Just Pit is fine." Pit answered timidly and Link was curious as to why he seemed hesitant to answer.

"Quit calling me Pittoo, Icarus." Dark spat at Pit threateningly as he pulled out cash from his wallet and Pit's face turned red with embarrassment. "Dark you know I.. you know why I hate that name.." Pit's words came out a bit quieter and sadder as he mumbled the last part and Dark looked a little guilty for a second. "Sorry." Dark simply apologized as he paid and led Pit towards one of the stools facing the outside.

"Well, looks like you won dude." Marth sighed and attempted to hand Link the cash he owed before noticing the bothered expression on Link's face. "Link.. What's wrong?" Marth raised a brow as Link frowned in the direction of the two twins now talking quietly amongst themselves. "Nothing man," Link sighed as he finished the black coffee and began pouring the hot chocolate in to the other cup. "It's just that that guy was really cute when he walked in, but now he seems all upset."

Marth perked up at hearing his blonde co-worker call someone 'cute'. Taking the finished drinks from Link a smirk grows on the bluenette's lips. "Here," Marth unfolding his plan offers, "I'll take those two their drinks and you man the counter, yeah?" "But-" Link attempts to protest, seeing as they don't hand people drinks and instead call people's names over the counter, but Marth is persistent and gets his way in the end.

Quickly and unnoticed Marth grabs two paper napkins and sneakily adds Link's phone number onto one before wrapping both drinks with the two napkins respectively. Making his way to the two twins Marth gives the brunette his hot chocolate and as he hands the other his cup of bitter black coffee he leans towards the dark haired boy. "My friend back there thinks you're cute." Marth comments with a mischievous wink, shortly heading back to his blonde co-worker afterwords and smiling innocently as if nothing happened.

Big mistake, Marth realizes a little late as the raven haired haired one puffed over angrily the crumpled napkin in his hands. "Dark no, wait-" The brunette one protests and tries to stop his angry twin, but it's far too late as Marth ducks in fear behind Link and Dark slams his fist on the counter. "Um, sorry. Is there something wr-" "Who do think you are, you ass!?" Dark interrupts the now nervous Link, who still has no idea what's going on.

"What?" Link looks back at Marth confused until Pit pulls back on Dark's elbow for the other boy's attention. "Dark please, he just found you cute. What's so wrong about that?" Pit frowned and at that phrase Link froze in place. "No, I thought you were the cute one!" The blonde blurts out accidentally and the other three in the room's eyes widen suddenly.

"Dude, I'm so sorry." Marth apologizes embarrassed and Pit's face flushed a deep red. "You- you think.. that I'm cute?" He squeaks out and Link nods a bit more timid than before. "Wait, wait, wait, let me get this straight.. you find my brother.. 'cute'?" Dark looks absolutely bewildered and Link let's out a nervous, "Yeah.." Dark simply snatches up Pit's hand and pulls the other away from the counter. "Pit, we're leaving!" The overprotective brother doesn't realize that before leaving Pit snatches up napkin with Link's number on it and smiles. "I'll call you!" Pit promises, giving a small wave. And right before the disappeared completely Dark turned back to scowl at both boys behind the counter. "He won't call you." Dark growls out.

Pit did call him.
