Spread the Word!

Pony and Zizzy were just absent-mindedly watching Zizzy's twin sisters Zuzy and Zee noisily singing this new song they found on the radio, 'Earthworm Sally.' (Lol)

Then Pony's phone buzzed. He checked it and realized it was a text notification from their chat group. He read the text message, which was from Foxy, and then his face paled. "Pony? Are you okay?" Zizzy asked. "Ziz, look." Pony said while handing her his phone. Zizzy read it and then her eyes widened. "What?! No, that can't be. It's been a year!"

The twins' singing died down. "What? What is it?" Zuzy asked. "There's no other way to say this, girls, but a new infection is happening." Zizzy said solemnly. "How? Who started it?" Zee asked, alarmed. "George." Pony replied.

A shadow fell over Zuzy's face. "Y-You're k-k-kidding, aren't you? Please tell me you are." she said, a tremble in her voice. Zizzy and Pony looked at each other. Then Zizzy said, "It's true, Zuzy. George was the first to get infected." Zuzy was absolutely shocked. She was rendered speechless. She ran from the room.

Pony, Zizzy and Zee didn't understand why she was so upset over George getting infected, as though she wanted anyone but him to be infected first. Then Pony said, "We have to alert everyone. And if anyone's infected, we shall fight them like the old days," "I agree. Let's go!" Zizzy exclaimed.

Penny, Foxy, Doggy, Bunny, Zizzy and Pony met at the park after spreading the word of the infection to the town's citizens. It was so tiring that they were panting and sweating from zooming around the town telling everyone about this. All of them brought weapons. Some others decided to tag along with them: Mimi, Giraffy, Elly, Richard, Zuzy and Zee.

"What do we do now since we're all just assembled here?" Bunny asked. "The first thing we need to do is find a base where we can stay and isn't easily accessible to the infected. Namely, our old safe place." Zizzy said. "But that's in the city, so we'll have to walk there." Giraffy piped up. "Alright, let's get moving!" said Elly.

The walk to the city felt like an hour and a half to everyone. However, it wasn't boring. They had plenty of time to chat. And, fortunately for them, no hordes of infected ambushed them.

At one point, Giraffy asked Mimi why her friend Mousy didn't follow them, as he knew she was quite vulnerable. But Mimi shrugged the question off by saying, "She's in good hands, no worries," Then the whole Mousy conversation ended.

Meanwhile, Foxy asked Penny what had happened earlier, before she found George infected. "He claimed he found some water in his cup after lunch, despite the fact no one filled it for him." she said. Foxy thought for a moment. Then he muttered, "Stupid potato guy!" "What? What about him?" Penny asked. "He must've broken into your house and put the potion into George's cup, thus making him infected." Foxy theorized. "As far as I know, we were sitting in the living room before lunch. So if he really did break in, we would've known. And the potion's neon green, not clear like water." Penny said.

"But what if the cup was near an open kitchen window, for instance? He must've put his hand in, filled the cup with a new kind of potion that turns clear like water and slipped away." Foxy said. Penny thought for a moment. Then she realized the kitchen window was indeed open. George's cup was near it. Foxy's theory makes sense.

"Wow. You're smarter than I thought you were, Foxy." Penny said. "I know I am. And I'm probably smarter then you." Foxy said jokingly. Penny giggled and punched his arm playfully. Then Pony announced, "Here we are. Our safe place."
