The Ultimate Reptile

Jay grinned as he heard his voice again, "So he really is alive." A crash came from where the voice came from, "And arguing with his sister right when he shows up... What a pain..." Terra could tell, from the smile on his face, that Jay was happy, despite his tone. "Clay!" Terra grinned, Jay's excitement was quite contagious.

Jay turned around, the three were in a forest clearing, and two of them were crying. "Clay." The Golden Heart turned to Jay, and something surprised him. Clay fell to his knees, "I'm sorry." Reyna was on the ground to, both bowing to Jay for forgiveness. "We're sorry." Terra watched in amazement as Jay fell to the ground. All three were on the ground, bowing to each other, and in unison they all said it. "Please forgive me!"

Clay shook his head, tears dripping to the ground, "I'm sorry." Leone frowned, this "hero" was getting on her nerves with all of this fighting. Terra watched as the three hugged each other, and her gaze turned to Leone. Terra frowned, Leone's face showed how disgusted she was at the heroes. But Terra couldn't help but smile, that was how Leone, Skyla, and herself embraced that one time. That one time when they felt so abandoned, when they blamed themselves for everything. Terra's smile grew, maybe they could do that too! Maybe they could be reunited like these three! Maybe-

The terror, grief, and anger swept through her whole body. That would never happen. Why? Why? Because of Gale? Because of Jay? Who could she blame? Skyla was their friend, their sister. She was the eldest, and the most loving. She had cared for all of them. Terra gripped her heart, she bit her lip, and blood trickled down her chin. Thanks to her... there would truly, never be a reunion.

Leone observed, as Terra's aura changed. She could smell guilt, sadness, and remorse. She walked over to her sister, "What's wrong?" Terra hugged her, "Leone! I'm sorry... I'm sorry." Leone was surprised, "What are you sorry about? Now that we know that Jay's not a bad person..." Terra clenched her fists, "He may be a bad person, but I'm a bad person! I'm sorry Leone." Leone shook her head, "You're not a bad person!" Terra closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and said it. "Leone, Skyla is dead." Terra felt her sister freeze, "What?" Terra opened her eyes, "We killed her Leone. And... I didn't even bury her." Leone looked at Terra, "What did you say?" Terra looked into her sister's eyes, "I left her on to streets, for the animals to feed on."

Jay and Reyna were surprised when the loud clap echoed through the forest. "That was your stinkin' reason? I'm gonna kill you!" Reyna ran in front of Leone, "What's going on?" Leone's eyes had turned from their normal green to bright yellow, and her pupils had turned into vertical slits. Her pink hair was now like a mane of a lion, her bright yellow aura was now visible. "TERRA KILLED HER!" Jay froze, "Who? Killed who?" "SHE KILLED MY SISTER! I'M GONNA RIP HER TO SHREDS!" Clay laughed, "I feel like I'm seeing what Jay and Reyna did right before my eyes." Leone's head turned violently to Clay, "BE QUIET! THIS IS..." Leone felt an iron fist knock her backwards. "Leone, did I teach you to be like this? Blaming other people?" Clay walked over, "No. Don't speak Reyna, step back, and enjoy the show." Leone grinned, at least the man was a little useful. "I will not stand by while she rips my student apart!" Clay laughed, "It'll be fine, you survived!" Jay looked at Clay, "On the contrary, Reyna actually removed my body parts, I was lucky that I was immortal." Clay's jolly face turned thoughtful, "True, I didn't think about that. Never mind, you can stop them." Reyna rolled her eyes at her brother's ignorance and Terra let out a relieved laugh. Leone looked at her sister, "WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT TO LAUGH?"

Terra frowned, she must have set her expectations too high. The reunion was impossible, there would be nothing of the sort. Not with them. The legendary trio was lucky, they were immortal. There was no way that they wouldn't have this reunion. She spun around Jay and Leone charged at her. For the three of them, it all ended on the day Skyla hit the floor. Terra closed her eyes, waiting for the pain to strike her, for her to see their parents. Then she heard a shunk, of a sword stabbing through something. Not what she was expecting. "Weirdos, I didn't think you guys would actually listen to me."

Terra opened her eyes to see The Golden Heart standing in front of her, "So, could you like, remove your claw thingy?" Leone pulled back, "What'd you do that for?" Clay dusted off the giant hole in his stomach as if it were a bug on his shirt. "Well, her not being immortal in all, I didn't want the book to get too messy." Leone tilted her head, "The book?" Clay laughed, "So that this book wouldn't have to be put under mature!" Reyna shook her head, "You're still going on about the book?" Clay nodded, "Of course! I wanted to see how our world works, and I found out that it was a book!" Jay shook his head and punched Clay, "Who's a weirdo?" Clay grinned, "So is this pretty much what happened with you two?" Reyna turned to her student, "I guess..." Jay put his finger up, "However, she attacked more aggressively, and she used that giant sword of hers." Clay put his arm around his sister's shoulder, "So you really do care about me." Leone shook her head as she watched the three bicker like children. And it reminded her of how her siblings and herself would argue like that. Then a question rose in her mind, "Clay, how did you survive?"

Clay stopped talking, "Me?" Reyna looked at him, "Yeah, how are you alive?" Clay looked to Jay, "This chapter's going to be a little bit longer than the others." Jay karate chopped his head, "Still going on about the book!? Who cares!? Just explain it already!" Clay put his hands up in surrender, "Okay! Okay! I'll tell!" Clay's face turned somewhat serious, "I'll start from the beginning."

. . .

"Percival!"  Clay could only stare, "Why?" Reyna's eyes held pure terror, "We were going to find another way..." Jay was frozen in place. Anarchy and Percival laid on the ground beside each other, "If you're going to take the life of my students, then I'll have no other choice." Anarchy grinned, "It was a good battle, it will definitely be legendary!" The trio only stared at the two, as they slowly died. Their destinies had been tied, and they died at the same time.

Clay, Jay, and Reyna had no idea what to do. Percival was buried, and there was this hole inside of them. Percival's death... was impossible. They couldn't wrap their head around it. It wasn't possible for someone like him to die. He wasn't supposed to be able to die! He was immortal! On top of that, he was... he was, well, Percival!

. . .

"Isn't that a little far back from the story that we're supposed to tell?" Clay shot a look at Jay, "EXCUSE ME! I'M TELLING A STORY!" Jay shook his head, "Fine, go ahead." Reyna punched Clay in the face, "JUST SKIP TO OUR PART!" Clay looked at her, "I WASN'T ALIVE TO SKIP TO YOUR PART! AND THEY DIDN'T ASK ABOUT YOUR STORY, THEY ASKED ABOUT MINE!" Leone and Terra grinned, they were all like blood siblings. Leone grinned, "I feel as if you actually should skip a bit..." Clay frowned, "Fine... I was planning on making the chapter at least two thousand words..." "JUST SKIP AHEAD!"

. . .

Jay looked the beast in the eye, and he raised his sword. "You're mine." He was ready to die. Clay could tell from the look in his eyes. "Jay!"

Jay felt the pressure of the sword going into the monster's chest. He had done it, a Creature of Chaos was dead, and he had killed it. Of course, that meant that he would follow Percival, but after what he found out, what was the point of living? Jay had his eyes closed, and he waited for death to greet him, what was it like? Was he already dead? At this he opened his eyes, to see Clay holding his blades. "What are you doing?" Jay frowned, "What are you doing? It's getting away!" Clay pointed his blade at Jay, "You don't get to throw your life around! That's not something that Percival would approve of!" Jay looked Clay in the eyes, "You're kidding right? You heard their conversation too! We're not here for anything Clay!" Clay shook his head, "I don't believe that! Percival died for us Jay! Did you forget that?" Jay clenched his fists, "I also heard him call us trash. The trash of the world. He called our city, the trash of the world. We're all just pieces in a game to him." Clay looked at Jay, "You really believe that? Because, I think you know Percival better than that." Jay looked into Clay's eyes, "He said it himself."

Clay looked into Jay's eyes, where the hatred, sadness, and darkness still resided. "Please Jay, let's go home." Jay looked back into Clay's eyes, fury flaming out of his very essence. Clay frowned, "You're throwing a tantrum! Like a baby!" Jay clenched his blade, that was it. He shot forward, and stabbed his heart. Clay grinned, he knew he wasn't going to die, he was made for this. He really was, an immortal punching bag for the shortest fuses in the world. However, something strange happened. A strange sensation spread throughout Clay's body. Was this it? Was this death? The feeling throughout him was lost. It was like... he fell asleep.

. . .

"And then I woke up." Terra and Leone looked at him, "Was anything different?" Clay grinned, "I woke up, as a child." Terra looked at her hands, "So you were... reborn. How'd you die in the first place?" "The same way I did." Jay grinned at the sound of his students voice. "So how do you explain it?" Gale smiled, his new body was still him, but a much younger version of him. "Clay was killed by a Beast. Beasts are able to kill immortals, which is why my voice is so squeaky right now..." Jay looked at Gale, "And you know what kind of beast I am, don't you?"Terra's eyes widened, Jay was a snake, so what was the most powerful snake on earth? Terra was already the anaconda, what could Jay be? "You're the ultimate reptile, the Constrictor." Clay and Reyna both seemed surprised, "A dragon?" Jay grinned mischievously, "Not a dragon. They are on a much lower level, at best, they're in third place." Terra looked at her teacher in awe, "Third... place?" The memory of War's power made her skin crawl... How strong was Jay? Just thinking about it gave her goosebumps.

Genesis grinned, Jay was a constrictor, and Genesis was in second place for some reason. Genesis was a devourer, she would fit the name "ultimate reptile" much better. "At least Clay's alive, it means I won't have to eat Jay after all." Her stomach growled, and she turned her gaze to the creature moving in on the group. "But since Merlin stole my meal, I've worked up an appetite!" She licked her lips, a Creature of Chaos will make a very pleasing meal.

Okay, not a lot of explaining with the story, but there'll be more explaining soon. There's a lot of stuff to explain in a Fantasy story guys. It'll come soon. Don't worry.
