Just wanted to formally introduce shel as a character, tried to show her as much as I could in this chapter. P.s if you haven't read trials of Apollo or the suns and the star, shel is piper's girlfriend in that and they are married in this.

Shel's POV
"Guys! Quiet down! It's starting!" Shel beamed at the tv. She and piper had been married for about a year. And her and the rest of the seven, plus Nico , had gathered to watch her give an important speech for her job. Piper had graduated form NRU and become a docter, today she was giving a speech on national television, concerning her career and all she had achieved.

Annabeth passed shel a bowl of popcorn with a smile. "She'll do great."

"Ugg, I hope so, if this goes well, it'll open so many new doors for her, I just wish I could be there-"

Leo grabbed a handful of popcorn and sat down on the couch, Percy and annabeth had decided to host, and shel was pretty great full for that fact. "Guys!" Frank shouted. The tv began to play.

"Coming at you live, from New York, our very own, charlotte Deneen, is here to introduce a very special guest. Take it away charlotte"

"Hi! Thank you mark, I'm here today with, Piper McLean, esteemed doctor, and physician. Piper why don't you us, a little more about yourself.

Piper smiled. "Um, well, I grew up in California, um, well my dad raised, me, and really-

"Oh my gosh! Babe! You were so good!" Shel beamed, and kissed her wife. "Thanks, I am honestly to tired." Piper responded, yawning.

"You were, predictably, very good." Annabeth walked over, and gave piper a hug. "The whole thing, was inspirational." Leo joked sarcastically. "Shut it repair boy" Piper smiled ruffling his hair. "You know I'm just playing. Also, quit messing up the do" he stated point firmly at his mess of curls.

Percy walked over, hazel at his side. "Sense when are being nice to Leo?" He muttered. Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Don't play with me, aqua man." Leo grumbled, walking away.

"Alright, I think I might go nap?" Piper asked. Annabeth's shrugged. "Do you want our bed?"she asked.

"Um, shel? You up for a nap?

"Always"

Their hands intwined, and they together ambled forward into the bedroom.

"Wake up guys" hazel smiled, standing in the doorway patiently. "What time is it?" Piper asked sleepily.

"About 5:30ish"

"What? Seriously? Did you guys make any plans while we slept?"

"Umm, yeah, we're gonna try and go to dinner somewhere. See how it goes?" Piper nodded. "Ok? When are we leaving?"

They seven, plus shel, and Nico. All went to a small Italian place for dinner. Each of them ordered, and they began to chat. They rarely all saw each other together, but pipers speech was a big enough occasion too meet up. " Will was really bummed guys, maybe I should like bring him something to eat?" Nico muttered. "He tryed to come, but, a patient was scheduled for surgery."

Percy was inhaling a cheeseburger at the other end of the table, when frank noticed something. "Guys, I might be crazy, but does anyone else see-

"Yes" everyone said in unison.

"This was kind of expected, right? I mean like we're basically a living buffet for all the monsters" Nico commented.

"True, ok, I've got the check-" Annabeth started. "Woah, woah, woah just because, you're some big shot, owning a multi-million company now doesn't mean that you get to pay" Leo cut in. (More on that later)

"Leo Valdez, I swear" Annbeth grumbled, smacking her credit card on the table. "Okay, just because personally I would prefer not, to die." Percy muttered, "Nico, Wise girl, frank, and shel, go left and the rest go right."

Everyone nodded, Annabeth paid, and the eight of them began to move. No doubt they probably got some werid looks from the restaurant customers and staff, but? What can you do?

Once they were outside, well, bad stuff started to happen. "Pipes! On your right" Annabeth shouted.

"Percy, on my back!" She shouted. They had all fought with each other enough to know their exact next move.

Before they knew it, Leo was throwing wrench's at empozas, and frank, as an elephant, was taking down a Minotaur. There was a full fledge battle.

It was chaos.

"Every time, I think, oh! This will be easy! Theirs so many of us! And we're so, powerful! No, that, that never, the fates, nope they just couldn't" Percy gasped in between swings of his sword.

"Yeah, no shit aquaman." Leo called. He was runnning from a giant scorpion looking thing. "How did we not see any of these before!" Frank yelled. He was shooting arrow after arrow.

Anannebth was being, well, annabeth, her dagger was really earning its paycheck. She swung left and right, side stepping, and stood back to back with Percy and hazel.

It was beginning to get dark. The Sun was setting, and still monsters remained. Nico winced in pain as a empoza's claws jabbed into his back. Quickly though, shel jabbed her sword. Hitting her mark.

Percy wasn't so lucky. A horde of dracaena, snuck up in him. One managed to scratch him up pretty bad, right across his chest.

He gaasped for air, wincing, and clutching his chest. "Someone should really just make a rule" he spread his hands sitting hard on the ground. "Nothing good happens, to us, with out, something bad."

"Spoken like a true Percy Jackson" annabeth muttered. Kissing him on the cheek.

Every monster had been encounter for. All set back to hell.

Back at the apartment, the "game night" began.

Hazel popped open a can of soda. "No, way you took down a whole cyclops at seven years old."

Annabeth shrugged. Picking up Percy's soda can, and taking a sip. When Leo attempted to do the same, things got a little weird.

They played board games, exchanged story's, and over all, just enjoyed being together alive, and healthy. For the most part.

"Wise girl, it hurts" Percy winced.

Their friends had left. Percy was sitting on the bed, shirtless, as a tried annabeth attempted to clean, and bandage his wound.

"Your such a baby, when it comes to pain, seaweed brain"

"One would think that by, now you would have been better at dealing with it"

He pouted.

"Suck it up" she muttered, patting his head. She wiped the wound, and carefully applied small, tape like stickers as stitches. He winced, and sighed.

" You ever think about how mortals complain about the smallest things? Like, oh no! My toilet paper ran out! Or, jeez! Life really couldn't get any worse, I missed the bus."

Annabeth sighed, a small smile appeared on her face. "Yeah I guess your right"

"Life would just be so mush easier if we weren't demigods- woah!

Annabeth cut him off with a kiss. "True, in some cases. But, let's be grateful we survived this long, even if life can still suck sometimes. We still have each other."

Percy picked her up, tossed her on the bed. And smiled. He collapsed, resting his head on annabeths chest.

"Life still sucks. Sometimes"

"I love you annabeth chase"

Crickets, annabeths slow breathing filled the air. She was already asleep.
