OVERKILL (Hope You Say What I'm Hoping)

OVERKILL.

(Hope You Say What I'm Hoping.)

| Quinn Ana Zheng doesn't want to say that she's running from her problems . . . no, she has enough of an ego to never admit that.

However, after a catalytic event at her home in New York renders her at a loss for words—and seemingly options—she runs to find purchase in England where her older sister is living with her fiancé. There, she spends her time surfing television programs and taking advantage of the fact that she doesn't have to cook.

Quinn knows that eventually, she'll have to go back; she can stay in England for as long as she legally can, but her problems won't completely evaporate just because she's not there to face them. No, her problems are still there, growing like the mold from her fourth grade science fair project.

(She got a first place ribbon, by the way.)

It's growing increasingly harder to leave, though, when her godfather (Coach Beard is what they call him across the pond) introduces her to the members of Premier League's own AFC Richmond . . . and all the baggage that comes along with them.

And it certainly doesn't help that Richmond's own haughty striker seems to be popping up repeatedly, curious about the parts of her life that she refrains from mentioning.
