The last time you saw Soda he was down on one knee proposing to you. Now, you're getting a phone call from the hospital about your fiancee in the ICU. Memories began to flood your brain.

Soda was chasing you down the lake's beach. He was chasing you with a dead fish skeleton. You were screaming "Soda, Don't you dare!" It was all fun and games until you tripped on a log and face planted into sand. Soda ran to your side and started to clear your face of sand and pebbles. You had sand burn along your cheek. He lead you back to his car and got out the forst aid kit. He bandaged you up and you headed back to the beach for an afternoon picnic.

Soda was dancing with you in the kitchen. Pony was at a track meet and Darry was working. Ben E. King's "Stand by Me" played on the record player. He spun you around and you just giggled with pure joy. "Oh darling, darling, darling, Stand by me stand by me." He sernaded you in a failed romantic voice. "I love you Sodapop." You declared. "Wait babe what did you say?" "Soda I said I love you." "I LOVE YOU TOOO. OMG WAS THAT ACTUALLY OUR FIRST I LOVE YOUS. I CANT BELIEVE IT IM SOOOO IN LOVE WITH YOU." He basically shouted pulling you into a bone crushing hug.
The gang was preparing for a rumble. You all knew it was gonna be bad. Soda led you out to the porch to tell you good bye. "(Y/N ), I love you more than I could eve imagine. You make my days less cloudy. You make me feel like so much more than just a failure. You give my life meaning. The way you take care of the gang and me. I couldve never asked for a better partner. So one question (y/n) will you marry me?" He asked pulling out a diamond ring. "Of course I will my darling."
That was the last time you had seen Soda before the rumble. You had arrived to the hospital and the gang was explaining what happened. Soda hard been hit on the head with a pipe and his neck slashed like pony's but much deeper. A doctor came out of the room.
"Mrs. Curtis, your fiance came out of the surgery just fine. You'll be able to stay with him tonight but he will be sedated until morning in order to get the required rest. Thank you for your patience." The gang cheered and hugged before they left you to care for your man and so they could get much needed rest.
