Ever since their children were little, they started the tradition of spending their summer vacation at Holden beach, where the house was located. They spent countless hours seaside playing in the sand, getting a tan and enjoying their time together since they didn't live close by.

That just happen to change one day.

There's an old say, that mentions that people are attached by invisible string, a red string, whatever version you choose to believe. When it came to these families, there were a lot of those.

The parents met through high school and college, as they navigated what was one of the most important parts of human development, being a young adult. You had Scarlett and Cameron, they met in college and fell in love right away, Mona and Sawyer, who met suddenly at a café when they both decided to drop out of college, Monét and Connor, who became parents at ages 15 and 17, Emma and Mason, they literally fell for each other when she tripped and he was on the way, and Claire and Spencer, who also decided to become parents while in college to be empty nesters age 45. They just happened to find each other when they needed it the most, after losing a book, crying over a heartbreak, lending a skateboard to not miss class, they became inseparable little by little.

Sadly, when it had been a few years that the amazing tradition of spending the summer at Holden stopped, rumors started to run through the members of this chosen family, which were more than strong to keep them apart for 8 years.

It was until communication happen that they realized nothing was wrong and it was just a big mistake orchestrated by a group of their old peers that were jealous of them. They spread some lies about cheating, breaking each other trusts by finding out about secrets they shouldn't have known, but everything works out at the end, right? They'll always be attached by the invisible string.
