she held the eye contact with him for a few seconds before glancing away. Her hand carefully slipping out of his as she walked past him a few steps and grabbed the medicine she came for.

she slowly turned around and walked away. she only took a few steps before the burn in her ankle made her almost hiss from the intensity. she took a step back and the burn was gone.

I can't escape, can I?

she turned around and meet chenle's gaze again.
"what do we need to do?"

chenle sighed in relief upon her reply and looked towards haechan who stepped beside chenle.

"you two need to be together, in closer proximity so you feel better quicker." haechan urging her to be closer to chenle for her own sake. she does as he suggests, only slightly, taking a few steps closer towards chenle.

"you should come with us to our company... there will be more privacy there." haechan said with a quieter voice as the stores worker greeted another customer.

"do we need to be... alone?" she asked, looking at chenle with slightly widened eyes.

don't get her wrong, she knew a bit about soulmates but she never cared too much to know every detail. now that it was happening, she felt like all her knowledge on soulmates was taken from her.

haechan shakes his head. "we will be there."
upon seeing her raise an eyebrow at him he continued. "nct dream, sorry, i assumed since you knew him?"

"oh right. yeah I know. sorry just..."

"you're out of it. I would be too if I was this close to death." he said with a smile, though she wasn't sure you would smile in such a situation.

"can we go?"
chenle asked quietly. he had been staring at the ground majority of the conversation, making yeeun wonder if he was more tired than she was. It was a likely assumption, he was probably still trying to practice while she was stuck in her room, unable to get herself to go to her classes.

chenle looked up at her, as if asking her to go with them without actually asking. she stayed silent and fiddled with the medicine she picked up. she looked over to haechan, who seemed knowledgeable about the whole soulmates deal.

"will I need this?" she said, raising the medicine box up. he shook his head and took the box from her hand. "as long as you two are together for a while, you will feel fine until next time you need to see him."

yeeun, still feeling hesitant, nodded her hand and looked back to chenle.
"okay... let's go then."
