To say I was wasted would be an understatement of what I was at that moment

I was very sure Korede was mad at me

But who cared?

Well he carried me out of the club because he didn't like the way boys stared at me

So right now we were in his car, with me bothering the hell out of him

"Odette remove your legs from my dashboard" he said and I removed the seatbelt instead
"Legs Odette, legs not seatbelt" he said and I stared at the manual brake in fascination
"Oh what does this button do?" I said and I pushed the break button before moving the stick up
"Odette! Dammit!" Korede yelled as the car came to a halt. He turned off the ignition and gave me a hard stare which made me to pout
"I wanted to see what it'd do" I said innocently and he sighed
"Odette sweetie, go to the back seat" he said and I gave him my puppy dog eyes but he looked away

Joy killer

I came down from the car and smiled happily when I saw a ghost across the road with a light blue spirit

"Hey!" I yelled and giggled before running towards him
"Shit shit shit" Korede cussed as he came down from the car and carried me from behind when I got to the middle of the road
"Korey" I whined and wrapped my legs around him
"I want to talk to the ghost" I pouted and he sighed
"There is no ghost Odette, it's the alcohol talking" he said and I wrapped my arms around his neck
"But there's a ghost" I whispered and giggled before Hick hopping
"He's kinda hot" I added and Korede rolled his eyes
"He's not as hot as me tho" he implied and I smiled
"He's not"

He opened the back door and kept me in the car before staring at me. I gave him a cashmere grin and he clicked his tongue
"Promise me you won't go out" He said and I smirked lazily
"Promise me a kiss" I negotiated and I smiled in anticipation when he brought his lips close to mine. I closed my eyes and opened them abruptly when I got a peck instead. He closed the door and quickly entered the driver's seat before doing the central lock and sighing in relief. We go to his house and I giggled when he carried me. I pulled my puffy gown and threw it on his head which made him to groan and toss it back into his car

"Odette" he started and I placed my first two finger on his lips
"Your lips are pretty" I said and he pecked my fingers before biting them playfully. He opened the door to his house and sighed when Lanre, Chisom and his friends were seated

"What is she doing here?" Lanre seethed and Korede sighed
"Now is not the time to ask questions Lanre" he replied and Chisom rolled her eyes
"Why did she dress like a slut?" She asked and I glared at her and pointed a shaky finger towards her direction
"You're the slut, crush stealer" I slurred and she laughed
"You have a crush on Lanre? Well news flash he doesn't like you so deal with it!" She yelled and I frowned at her before scratching my head
"Korede, I think the zoo is missing an animal" I said and he and his friends laughed
"Korede I don't want Odette in the house" Lanre said and Korede smiled at him
"Sure lil bro, when you pay the rent, you call the shots" he said and I cheered
"Yayy" Chisom rolled her eyes and Lanre glared at me before storming into his room. Korede carried me upstairs and opened a door before walking in and shutting it. He dropped me in the bed and turned in the light which made me to flinch at it's brightness

"Here drink this" he said giving me a glass of water when something vibrated on my butt
"Korede I think there's a bug on your bed" I said and jumped when it vibrated again
"Stay still Odette" he said as he brought out something from my back pocket
"Shit its your mom" he said and scratched his head before clearing his throat and turning to me

"Be a good girl princess" he said and I nodded while sticking out my pinkie. He answered the call and placed it on loud speaker before nudging me
"Hey mummy!" I said and closed my ears when she began to talk
"Odette it is one am in the morning where are you!?" She yelled and I giggled
"I'm with Ko" he pinched me and I yelped before correcting myself
"I'm with Dayo" I said and she sighed
"Okay sweetie, promise that you'll come straight home after ballet practise?" She said and I hickhopped
"I promise" Korede quickly hung up

"You did good Odette" he said and I giggled before laying on his bed
"Odette go and freshen up" he said and I whined
"Freshen up and I'll kiss you" he said and I jumped up and rushed into the bathroom leaving a chuckling Korede behind. I took a quick shower and smiled when I saw a pair of boxers and singlet on the kitchen sink. I wore it and made my way to the bed, all the adrenaline suddenly leaving me.

I climbed the bed and closed my eyes before Korede's laughter made me to open them
"What!?" I whined when he didn't stop laughing
"You're just cute Odette, good night" he said and I fell into the arms of sleep

They were playing drums in my head, loud drums. How do people feel this way and still end up taking alcohol again?

I sat up while clutching my head and frowned at Korede who was asleep on the ground
"Kored_" I said before feeling bile rise up my throat and making a beeline to the toilet where I puked my guts out. I held the toilet seat when the clenching of my stomach began to hurt and relaxed when I felt skilled hands rub my back

"Shh, its okay" Korede whispered as he rubbed circles on my back. After sometime the puking stopped and I flushed the toilet before standing up and looking at Korede who was shirtless

Damn, man's got muscles

"Let me get you water" he said and I shook my head
"I need a tooth brush and a ballet outfit" I said and he brought out a new tooth brush from his locker before tossing it to me
"Every other thing you need is in the bathroom" he said and I nodded before entering his bathroom.

I took a quick shower with his shampoo and brushed my teeth before rushing out of the bathroom to meet Korede seated on the bed
"Korede can you drop me off at home" I asked him with the towel around me
"No" he answered
"Why?" I asked him and he sighed
"You leave for America in Two days Odette, I'm sure your mom wouldn't want you running off anywhere" he said and I sighed

He had a point

"So what will I wear?" I asked him and he pointed at some neatly folded cloth on the table

I picked them up and laughed when it was his shirt and  leggings

"I didn't know you wore leggings" I commented as I walked into the bathroom to change
"I don't, they belong to Dayo"

Oh abajo

The shirt was baggy and I felt somewhat comfortable in it

"Ballet outfit?" I asked as I stepped out of the bathroom
"We'll get it on my way to work" he said then handed me two panadol pills and a glass of water

Thank God its capsule and not tablet

I took the meds and waited for Korede who was wearing his tux

He looked so good in tux

A guy in tux totally has the right and go ahead to kidnap me

"Let's go" he said and I picked my phone and followed him outside. We went to the kitchen and I sat on one of the barstools while Korede whipped something up. Suddenly I heard footsteps from behind me and turned back when I heard a loud hiss

"You haven't gone yet?" Chisom asked and Korede laughed before dropping a plate of fried potatoes and egg in front of me
"Watch your mouth little lady" he said to Chisom and gave her a plate with the same thing
"That's for you and Lanre, tell him its his turn to do grocery shopping" he added and Chisom nodded before staring at me
"Its your fault our friendship broke Odette" she muttered the walked away

This girl just killed my morale. I played with the food on my plate and Korede sighed before speaking up
"Odette eat so that the hangover can reduce" he said and I dropped the spoon before standing up
"I don't feel hungry" I replied then went to sit on the couch

I got so offended with what Lanre did because I've known him all my life and he just met chisom two years ago and is picking sides with her.
I don't deserve to feel left out in the friendship, and the crush I have on him wasn't helping matters

And the way he recently started treating me fueled my anger even more

Was I that bad of a friend?

I felt a tear drop from my eyes, then two before I cried silently

I guess I should've made more friends when mummy told me to

"Odette" Korede said and broke me from my trail of thoughts
"Are you crying?" He asked rhetorically before sitting down beside me
"Why are you crying?" He asked but I couldn't talk because of the sobs that raked through my body

"Don't worry about it" I said and wiped all traces of tears  from my face before smiling. Suddenly, Chisom and Lanre came from his room and I took a deep breath

I should be the bigger person

"Chisom" I called her and she looked at me before Lanre shrugged and went to drop the dirty plate in the kitchen
"I'm sorry for the way I acted in the changing room" I said and she sighed before smiling
"You know I can't stay mad at you"

Lies, all lies. The smile didn't even reach her eyes

"But we can't be friends" she added and I nodded before grabbing my phone from the couch
"Remember chola's unveiling is tonight" she said and I nodded before turning to walk out of the car
"Wait" she said again and I turned back to see Lanre beside her and Korede stretching to get his keys
"Do you really have a crush on Lanre?" She asked me and Korede glared at her while Lanre crossed his arm and raised his eyebrow at me
"I," I started and took a deep breath before gulping

"I" I started again and Korede grabbed his keys and turned to me
"Let's go Odette" he urged me and I ignored him
"I like him" I whispered and everywhere was silent for a minute before Lanre burst into laughter and Korede dragged me out of the house
