Unexpected Guests

            TW: cursing

Freddy's POV:

I listened to the sound of Y/N's parent's cars pull out of their drive way before moving, I stood and walked out of Y/N's room as quietly as possible. The floor boards creaked whenever I took a step, it didn't help me concentrate very well... but I had to! I needed to get down to the kitchen. Things got easier once I'd gotten down the stairs, though I was still a bit noisy, I knew my sounds would be muffled by the floor above me, I just hoped it'd be enough to keep from waking Y/N.

I opened the fridge and saw so many possibilities, but of those, which would excite Y/N the most? I'd already planned on making her a bit of coffee but was that really good for her? Coffee would keep her from sleeping and it wasn't very healthy... I saw some orange juice, organic to be exact. That'd be a much better option! What could I make for a side? "Hm... What would cupcake like?" I couldn't help but think out loud, it was simply a design flaw. I pulled out a container of assorted cut up fruits and berries, it was a good side, but I'd hate to only serve Y/N fruit...

I put a bit of the mixture into a small bowl then opened the cabinet, there was bread! I could make another side, toast. I put in into a toaster oven and kept letting the gears in my head turn. I'm sure Y/N would like pancakes! I quickly assembled my master piece and quietly hurried back to Y/N's room. I sat the dish on her bedside table then felt her forehead, she was still really warm, but it was apparent the fever had gone down, it'd be best to check it. I pulled out the thermometer I'd used before and looked at Y/N, I've seen people use them in different places, under the tongue, armpit, forehead, and anus... Would one of the alternatives provide a more accurate result? Curiosity killed the cat but I don't think I can help myself...

I reached for Y/N's pants and was abruptly stopped, "What the fuck are you doing Fred?!" I hesitated before holding up the medical instrument, "Trying to take your temperature cupcake!" I said, then realized how inappropriate I was being, I hadn't even asked for permission! I could feel the metal plates on my face heat up, "I- I'm sorry Y/N!" I put a hand on the back of my neck awkwardly.

            Y/N's POV:

What has gotten into Freddy?! He can cook amazing food but has no common sense? I just don't get it. You looked over at your nightstand, expecting too find your phone so you could check the time but saw an assortment of breakfast foods, you looked at Fred, keeping the scowl on your face unchanging, "Thanks.." Freddy smiled, his ears began going down then back up, maybe it was a way of expressing joy or excitement... "Your welcome cupcake!" You took the piece of toast from the platter and ate it slowly while trying to maintain the glare that had stained your face.

The saltiness didn't last long, after you'd finished your meal, you realized you were too tired to be angry anymore, and well... The food was pretty good as always and... There was a faint "ding" sound, you recognized it as the doorbell! But who'd have come by? You hadn't invited anyone... You got out of bed and put a T-shirt on since you'd only been wearing a tank top. Freddy stayed in your room while you went to the front door, you swung it open to find two officers, a man and woman both around the same age as your parents, and a feeling of distress. "Uhm... Hello?"

The first police officer spoke in a quiet serious tone, "Good morning, and you Y/N?" You stared him in the eyes with a questioning look, "Yes?" Your head had tilted slightly. You watched the second officer narrow his eyes at you, "Well, Miss. Y/N, I'm officer Nelson, this is my partner, officer Davis, and that is Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, they're Alex's parents." You were frozen in shock, why were they here? Were they here to apologize on behalf of Alex? "Oh... I know Alex, so why'd you come anyway?" The two officers looked at each other, officer Nelson shuffled through some papers before handing one to officer Davis.

You listened carefully as he read the page, "according to eye witness testimonies, Alex Davis was seen entering your home but never exited. We'd like to conduct a search through the home to find  any evidence of where he could be." He left you dumbfounded. "No! You can't!" You weren't trying to be rude but the thought of two officers going through your and your parent's stuff while they weren't home didn't seem right. "Actually, Miss. Y/N..." Officer Davis began while Nelson shuffled the pages again, he pulled out another sheet and handed it to you, "Yes, we can." The sheet he'd handed you was a warrant. "Were going to need you to wait out here ma'am." Officer Davis then pushed past you, leaving you with officer Nelson to ask you a few questions, which you either didn't answer or couldn't, you have the right to remain silent.

You stood there for what felt like forever before seeing officer Davis come back out. He was carrying a few plastic bags with stuff in them, "What's all that?" The officer ignored you and put it in their police car. You had a million questions, where was Alex? What happened to him? What was in those bags? Did you think the disappearance had something to do with you?! During your stressed out spazzing, you hadn't noticed that they'd all left... You went inside and sat on your bed.

"Y/N!" Freddy called out to you like it actually had been a few years since he'd seen you, "I can't believe that guy! He has some nerves to open my belly without permission." Not even Fred's humor could fix your mood... What was going to happen to you...?
