Chapter 10: Home at Last

Selozar began to dream, it was a peaceful land, there were light pastel colors and a warm light. Everything felt at peace. Was this what death was down to it's core? A peaceful place to rest for the rest of eternity? He had no idea.

He rested in the place, before hearing a soft voice call out in the field,

"C'mon! Get up, there's still things to do out there, this is not a time to rest!"

Selozar was confused, this place was peaceful, why wouldn't he stay? "Who's there?!" He yelled, the shout was echoed, the soft grass and fuzzy flowers blew lightly in the breeze.

"You really don't remember me, huh?"

"Who are you?!" Selozar yelled out, but was soon hushed, not wanting to disrupt the still world with chaos.

"It doesn't matter anymore. No matter, just wake up. They're waiting for you."

The world began to drift off from Selozar's hands, he desperately tried to get it back, but failed.

A moment passed in complete darkness, before a different voice called out his name.

"Selozar! Wake up!"

This time he recognized the voice. Selozar softly opened his eyes, blinking a bit to find himself facing a bright light, coming from the crack in the blinds. He felt warmth around his body, accepting it at first, but soon turned and saw Albert was cuddling him.

Selozar began to freak out, attempting to break free but to no avail. He was stuck in the clutches of Albert's arms. "HA! GAAAAYYYY!" Uleanra called out from sitting on Sorrow's bed. "Uleanra, what are you doing on Sorrow's bed?" Selozar whisper yelled, obviously pissed off. "Sorrow went to take a shower, it's fine." Uleanra assured, waving his hand in the air as if to shrug it off.

"So, we're going to Albert's home after this?" Selozar asked, Uleanra shrugged, "Maybe, but you'll have to ask him yourself- but that's kind of a difficult task right now, isn't it?"

Selozar groaned in annoyance, he didn't understand why he was getting so irritated at Uleanra's comments. "Uleanra, I'm not gay." "Sure you aren't..."

Selozar kept trying to break out of Albert's arms, but at the same time wanted to stay, and possibly cuddle back. 'What? No, BAD SELOZAR!' he thought to himself, while continuing his attempt to break free.

Eventually he wiggled his way out of Albert's arms and fell on the floor. (WE'RE BREAKING FREE SOARING, FLYING- Why did I do that...) "WAH!" and then a loud bang. Sorrow opened the bathroom door, steam leaking through the door, her hair wet and down, and covering her breasts with a towel, "Is everything okay? I heard a bang..."

"Yeah Sorrow I'm fine... continue showering... or something." Selozar groaned, sitting up and looking at Albert. "O-Oh okay... I'm done showering... uh... do you have spare clothes? I heard it's necessary to get dressed in something else after showering..." Sorrow asked, she was obviously scared.

"No, Sorrow. Go ahead and dress in what you were wearing, we'll get you into some new clothes at Albert's house... hopefully." Uleanra reassured. Sorrow nodded, and closed the door.

The room stayed silent for a moment, before Uleanra sighed, "I'm waking Albert up."

"How?"

"Just watch and learn."

Uleanra stood up on the bed, backed up a little, then ran and jumped on Albert.

"OOF-" Albert yelled, gasping for air while Uleanra just rolled off of him. "What the hell Uleanra?!" Selozar yelled, Uleanra bursting out in laughter. "You could have just asked for him to get up!"

Albert sighed, before patting Selozar on the head. "It's alright." Albert got up, "Where's Sorrow?"

Just as he asked that, Sorrow walked out of the bathroom, brushing her short lavender hair, and then tied it up in a bun. "Why is... everyone looking at me..." Sorrow asked, shyly. "No reason. Anyway, we have to get going. I'll call an Uber." Albert said, pulling out his phone and setting it all up.

Albert looked up and put his phone in his pocket, "Let's go." The group then got in the elevator, forgetting that it smelled like strong weed. When the doors open, the four stumbled out, coughing. Albert slid the key over to the worker, who was different, a muscular lady who was on some kind of drug.

They all stood outside, and eventually a truck pulled up. The guy was a red neck, for sure. "C'mon, two in the back seat, two in the bed of the truck." The guy demanded.

Sorrow and Albert sat in the back, because of everything they've done, and Selozar and Uleanra in the bed of the truck. The man began to drive, leaving the mini version of New Orleans.

"So, Selozar. Are you sure you don't like Albert?" Uleanra asked, looking over at Selozar. "Positive." "Are you suuure?"

"Uleanra shut up!" Selozar yelled, but only Uleanra heard, everything else was drowned out by Old Town Road blasting from the guy's truck. "You know you're like a brother to me, Selozar!" Uleanra teased, taking off Selozar's hat and giving him a noogie.

"Give my hat back, Uleanra!" Selozar whined, reaching for the hat, but Uleanra kept it out of his grasp, "Nope!" "Please!"

Uleanra sighed, and placed it back on his hat and gave him a moment to adjust it on his head. "You know I love you, right?" Uleanra asked, looking over at Selozar. "Wait what do you mean?" Selozar asked, freaking out a bit. "LIKE A BROTHER! GOD DAMN IT, NOT LIKE THAT!" Uleanra yelled, causing the two to howl in laughter.

Selozar lightly punched Uleanra in the arm and Uleanra shoved him slightly. "I know that you probably don't like Albert, but why do you get so defensive when I say something about it?" Uleanra asked. "I don't know! I guess because I don't want to ruin our friendship." Selozar defended, trying to not seem like he took offense to that.

"Alright then."

The two sat in silence, enjoying the nice breeze, and the view as they passed the snowy woods.

Meanwhile, Albert is looking out the window. Him and Sorrow didn't really talk during the ride. "Hey Albert?" Sorrow meekly asked, turning over. Albert looked at her, "Yeah?"

"Thank you for not leaving me there, you could have let me starve to death while I couldn't do anything about it... I know Alone would've..."  Albert smiled, "No problem Sorrow. You were extremely helpful."

Sorrow smiled, and looked back out the window.

The truck drove for about an hour, everyone but Albert was asleep. Albert just watched the sky, it was about noon. The driver was now playing a song called 'Surgam Identidem' and it had no words, but it was EXTREMELY intense, and a bit tragic. Albert has no idea where the song came from, but it sounds like the final boss battle in an anime, except the main character is losing, and nobody to look back on, no intense power, nothing. Just grief.

'I'm probably looking to deep into it...' Albert thought, smiling a bit. Soon, they made it to Albert's house. "Your friends are sleeping, can you wake them up?" The driver asked, looking back at Albert. "Nah, just honk the horn. It'll get them up, trust me."

"Whatever you say, buster." The guy then honked the horn, causing Sorrow, and most likely Selozar and Uleanra to wake up. "Thanks man." Albert says, as he hands some cash to the driver. "No problem, now get out of my truck, I gotta pick more people up."

Albert and Sorrow opened their doors and got out, shutting it behind them. Selozar and Uleanra jumped out from the bed of the truck. "What the hell man?!" Uleanra yelled. Albert shrugged, "It was the easier way."

Albert opened his house door, letting Uleanra, Sorrow, and Selozar in. Albert walked in himself, and shut the door. It was a fairly normal middle class house. It was a bit messy, but really nice. "I'll call Jake over, which one of you want to stay at his house?" Albert asked, looking at the three. "Wait, why do we have to split up?" Uleanra asked. "Because, Alone is most likely coming after us, if we're split up then it'll be harder."

Uleanra nodded. "Well, I'm staying at Jake's place." He nonchalantly walked to the kitchen to get something to eat. "And Adam is coming over for who ever wants to stay at his place."

"I'll stay over there. It sounds... nice." Sorrow offered. Albert nodded, "Thank you, Sorrow!"

"So I guess it'll just be me, and you Selozar!" Albert cheered, giving his big goofy grin. Selozar began to blush, looking away. Why was he so embarrassed? He had no clue.

"Anyway, I'm gonna ask if it's okay to stay with them." Albert stated, and walked to another room pulling out his phone. "Wait doesn't Jake live in Ohio?" Uleanra asked, coming back in the room with a can of Pringles.

"I think..." Selozar pondered. The three went quiet as they thought a moment, the only sound was Selozar tapping his feet and the occasional crunch of a chip from Uleanra.

Albert walked back into the room, "Both said it's fine!" Albert exclaimed, smiling. "Wait, but doesn't Jake live in Ohio, and Adam live in California (not sure about that one)?" Sorrow asked, keeping a defensive tone up, but seems as if she's warming up to the group.

"Oh right, they both decided to move down here so we'd be closer." Albert states, receiving a collective 'Ooohh...' from the rest of the group.

A knock was suddenly at the door. "Here already?" Albert thought aloud, and opened the door.

There was a young teenager, she had orange long hair, some of it covered one of her eyes. She wore a blue shirt with a purple puffy jacket and lazy sweat pants, along with wolf ears and a tail that looked pretty fucking weeby. "Hi, I recently got a package and my grandma said to bring it overrr-- HOLY SHIT-" The girl looked up and saw Albert, dropping the package. She looked freaked out, and in awe. "Uh, are you okay?" Albert asked, tempted to help the anxiety driven teen. "I'm fiiine!" The replied, obviously not fine.

She grabbed the package off the ground and gave it to Albert. "HAaaaa, so... sorry to bother, but are you Flamingo?" She asked, her cheeks flushing as she dug her nonexistant nails into her jacket. "Yeah, you know me?" Albert questioned. The girl looked up and smiled nervously, and nodded.

"Do you want a picture?"

Her eyes lit up, "Yeah! I mean, if you want to..."

She got out her camera and took a picture with Albert. Last time she'd been this happy was when she held a golden doodle puppy and rocked it to sleep. The girl thanked Albert, and ran off.

Albert shut the door, feeling pretty happy that he got recognized. "What was all that about?" Uleanra asked. "Oh, just a fan coming to give me a package that was mistakenly at her grandma's house."

"Oh."

"Hey, do you guys wanna watch TV?" Albert asked, the other three nodded, and Albert sat down and turned on a series called 'Aggretsuko'.

HOW DO I HAVE TEN CHAPTERS DONE IN UNDER TWO MONTHS?! SCIENCE EXPLAIN!

And yes, that girl was me. I told you she'd just be there for no reason, mainly for fun. I'm so fucking productive, to those who don't know me well, I usually post a chapter once every two months, but with this I actually posted 4 chapters in two weeks, I believe. And their longer then most fanfic chapters I write! :D

I'd also like to thank pink_Lem0nade for giving me motivation, y'all are the best!
