When we came back, we went to our usual spot, or the cave. We decided to catch up to everything that happened for the past weeks.

"So, in short, you grew a lot closer to Aonung."
He said with a straight face.

"In short, I missed you, and I didn't know who to go to.." I said making him smile a bit.

"Hey, but do you want him as your mate? Be honest." he said making me take a deep breath.

"For the last time, NO! He made my life miserable! I mean, yeah he changed but.. No.." I crossed my arms looking down.

Neteyam sighed, putting his hand against mine.
"I'm sorry.. Hey, you can always find someone else before the time comes."

As he said that, the first thing that came to mind was him. I couldn't imagine living the rest of my life with someone else. Some would call this a stupid teenage crush, but this is different.

"What about you?" I asked making his ears twitch. "Oh, your ears are twitching! You
must have someone on your mind!"

I said and he blushed. I tried to act excited and happy, but the thought that Neteyam might have someone else..

"Actualy I do.."

He said making me relax my body a bit from
disappointment. I lowered my smile. "Oh? Tell me about her."

"Well.. I don't know where to start.. I wanna tell her, but I'm scared of getting rejected." he said and I nodded my head.

"You're a great guy.. I don't see why whoever she is would reject you.." I said with a straight face.

"You're right.. Maybe I should confess to her.. Y/N-" he was about to say something, but I cut him off.

I stood up and started walking in the shallow area of the water. "Wait, can I guess who she is?" I said, a bit of anger showing in my tone.

He giggled "Sure.."

"Hmm.." I started walking around, nervously kicking the water. "Oh, maybe its Ma'ori. She's our best artist.." I said and he shook his head "No? Then it's probably Nala. Nala is the fastest Ilu rider. And shes beautiful.." I said crossing my arms turning around.

"Yeaa, she does ride fast.."

He said and I quickly turned around furrowing my brows at him. "I knew it was her.. Let's go back, you should confess now." I said getting out of the water.

"Don't you get it Y/N? It's you.."

I stopped walking. All the answers I have been craving, I got them in one sentence. I slowly turned around, desperate.

"Me?" I asked.

He sighed, walking up to me. He was super close to me now. "Ever since I came on this island, it was you.. No one else."

I grinned, looking at him in awe. I dropped my smile tho. "But.. Your parents.. Aonung.."

He caressed my cheek. "I don't care about them.. I just wanna know how you feel."

I put my hand against his hand which was holding my cheek. "I.. I feel the same."

He started leaning in slowly. "That's good.."

"We're making a mistake.." I said making him
stop, right when our lips were about to touch.

"I wouldn't call this a mistake." He continued to lean in, and I ended up giving up, kissing him first as I stood on my tippy toes.

The kiss was gentle, but I loved it.

We pulled away from each other, holding eye contact for a split second, before sharing another kiss. This one was more passionate. I put my hands around his neck. and he held me around my waist.

We sat down and we continued to kiss for a while before I pulled away.

"Is something wrong?" He asked.

"No.. Everything's perfect, just.. I wanna be with you, but they would kill you." I said grabbing his hand.

"No one has to know.. We can keep it a secret for now.. And if were sure about each other by the end of the month, no one can separate us once we.." he tried to finish the sentence but his face just went red.

I tilted my head in confusion, before realizing it myself. "Once were mated?" I said with a smirk.

"Yea.." he smiled a bit himself.

"Awww, are you flustered..?" I asked leaning closer to him. I crawled over to him, making him lean back on his elbows. I sat on top of
him putting my hands on his chest.

"I'm not.." he said not being able to look at me in the eyes.

"Then look at me." I said and he did as I said.

I smirked, but it faded once he turned me over, and now he was on the top.

"Hey, that's not nice!" I said as he held my wrists.

He laughed before kissing my forehead. "We should head back.. Oh and, let's meet up tonight in the cave where my Ikran is staying.." He said as he stood up winking at me.

"Mmmm.. Alright."

🫧Alright, first, I'd like to apologize if Y/N and Neteyam got together a bit too soon. My chapters tend to be long, and thats why there are only 10 chapters published. I'm seriously running out of ideas for what they should do as friends,
so why not spice it up a bit. But dont worry there will be hella drama 😏

Also I probably won't be able to publish chapters every day because school has been getting very stressful + some personal problems, but I'll try. 🫧
