-imperial camp, Carathian deserts-

In his tent, Naruto looked over at the number of troops he commanded, the tanks and vehicles, the aircraft and the map of Carathia. The nation of Carathia, who's capital was Decapolis or the Ten Cities, was the next front of his army group. The country was mostly a big desert and very few strategic locations to take. To make it even more difficult for Naruto, his troops were exhausted and he was running low on supplies. He and the major general were discussing how to best deal with the Carathian campaign with so limited supplies.

''The two legions which we have sent should be enough for dealing with the Carathian army here in this city.'' the major general told Naruto. ''However, we are still running low on supplies. Our supply chains are secured and much needed food and ammunition is coming but we cannot wait for too long.''

''Sir, my prince, the commanders wish for a tactical retreat as a second Carathian attack force has suddenly appeared.'' a lieutenant told the two leaders of the campaign.

''Then what are you waiting for? Tell them to retreat!'' the major general shouted and the lieutenant got out. ''It's better if we lose some unimportant ground rather than valuable men.''

''Agreed.'' Naruto said to the major general. Despite being the prince and superior, the major general was more experienced and the decision making was upto him. ''Tell me what your honest opinions and thoughts, General Guderian. What do you think is our best options?''

''Hard choices, my prince.'' the major general replied. ''We can win in battles and skirmishes. Carathia hasn't recovered from the late king Rhaegar's rampage years back. I think... hmmm let me think... we can try this plan: we will attack the cities to cut off the Decapolis. The refugees will pour into the Decapolis and it will be forced to deal with over-crowding, food shortages and lack of supplies. You, my prince, along with your female servants will then disguise yourselves as fleeing civilians and infiltrate the Decapolis. You can then sabotage their cannons, destroy bases, docked ships and the shield generator. That will be the most difficult part of your mission. If you succeed, and I know you will, then history will remember us as the first to take the legendary Ten Cities.''

''Excellent planning, general. How tough is the shield generator, exactly?'' Naruto asked.

''I see you learned from your past mistakes, my prince.'' the major general remarked and they both chuckled a bit. ''Able to withstand 1/3 the power of an atom bomb or so theorized. The generator, not the shield it generates. You undoubtedly have the power to destroy it but it will take a considerable amount of time. And do not forget to destroy the wall defenses and fighters, ground units and warships, my prince. The Decapolis is like an impenetrable fortress.''

''I underestimated my opponents before, general. I thought that only the likes of Orochimaru, Jiraiya, the Hokages and Itachi needed planning. But the knights of the west are strong, much stronger than anticipated. Q'anah would be enough to give every jonin in the Leaf, even my old teacher, a hard time. I won't make that mistake again.'' Naruto said with a slight angry tone. ''What's the progress of the other fronts, general?''

''A lot better than we anticipated. So much so, we didn't believe it ourselves.'' the major general answered. ''We had to check and re-check it again just to be sure there was no mistake. Grand General Rukossovsky's advances seem unstoppable, my prince. The southern front is also going just as well. The commanders of Meschek are doing well and the Grand General's son is also winning major victories. He already won nine battles and much of Satharyo is under Magog's control.''

''It is good to hear that, general. To see how far we have come in the bigger picture.'' Naruto commented. ''Once Daemon returns, we can put the plan into action.''

(about an hour and a half later)

''Wow. Aunt Rhaella just... damn.'' Naruto could only mutter as he was informed of what happened to one of cousins, army lieutenant Aegon Blackfyre. 'He was captured by Hesbonite commandos who offered to return him in exchange for an imperial general. Aunt Rhaella replied, 'I will not trade a junior officer for a general' and then cousin Aegon was killed. A bit cruel but... we are at war and were it to be the kage or daimyo of the east, they would make the deal. She did not come out as a traitor to her people, sacrificing the war effort for a captured family member.'

Naruto put down the tablet and stared at the map. He was still waiting for Daemon to return. ''Delta, give me a cup.'' Naruto ordered and his cyborg proceeded to milk Tsunade Senju's breats. The Senju's body had been 'modified' by magic and she was twenty five years younger and her breastmilk held mild healing properties. ''Thank you.'' Naruto said as Delta gave him the cup and he drank the warm milk.

He heard noises outside and he was glad to see Daemon Blackfyre return. He rushed out to meet Daemon and he saw a pretty blonde haired woman wearing a white dress. 'No doubt Daemon's bethrothed, Myranda Blûdwyne.' Naruto thought to himself and welcomed Daemon back. ''I was starting to get worried.''

''Long journey, had to fight fifty gold honor knights.'' Daemon explained. ''Konstantine, meet my bethrothed, Myranda Blûdwyne and Myranda, meet my adopted brother, Konstantine Blackfyre.''

''Pleasure to meet you, mi'lady.'' Naruto said with a respectable bow.

''The pleasures all mine, prince Konstantine. I thank you for accepting me as your sister in law.'' Myranda replied with her own bow.

''We have... a lot of things to talk about, Daemon. Recent developments and... the new plan of attack.''

(about fifteen minutes later.''

Daemon was angry. Very, very angry. Why? Because one his fiercest rivals, Jorus Sabulo, leader of the Golden Eagles mercenary company, had annihlated three legions of Magogite imperial troopers. ''Damn you, Jorus.'' Daemon muttered angrily and then lost it. ''Jorus Sabulo! Give me back my legions!'' he roared and toppled the table.

''Really, the table?'' Naruto said as he tried calming Daemon down. ''I know you are angry at this, Daemon, I am too. We will get our revenge soon.''

''What do you mean, 'soon'?''

''Jorus Sabulo and his mercenaries are in the Decapolis. We will kill two birds with one stone, Daemon.'' Naruto explained. ''We may have suffered a setback but I assure you... the war will be ours.''

                     -the next day-

The king of Carathia had sent his two sons and a platoon of knights to talk with Daemon Blackfyre. In the hot plains about a hundred kilometers south of the great Ten Cities, they met the crown prince of Magog, Daemon Blackfyre with four knights. The older prince, Urik Pelsar, got off his armored transport carrier and met the Blackfyre in the center of the plain.

''Why do you do this?'' prince Urik of Carathia demanded. ''Why declare a new war when we finally have peace? It makes no sense, prince Daemon. This war can serve no purpose. Hundreds of thousands of men dead already.''

''If there is one thing I've learnt, it is that a war must be finished. Utterly.'' Daemon stated. ''Destiny marches like the sands of time and it waits for no one. Man marches to their own destiny and either they seize it... or die in the attempt. Magog's destiny is to rule the world as is our birthright. We are the last link to the great legacy of King Enoch, the dragon slayer. And as my mother told me long ago, 'victory is reserved for those willing to pay the price'. We... are willing to pay it. You are all just stones in the way.''

''If it wasn't for Carathia, you wouldn't earn your title as the 'Black Dread of Magog', Daemon Blackfyre.'' the prince of Carathia said in a cold tone. ''When spies under my father's orders kidnapped you when you were out of Konstantia, he decided to spare you. To ransom you instead. Call it what you like but we showed you mercy. Your father died saving you and it ignited a flame that forged you into who you are today. If it wasn't for us, I wonder if you'll even be as powerful as you right now are or command entire campaigns. We... made you.''

''No. You caused me to be.'' Daemon retorted. ''It's not the same thing.'' the Blackfyre prince then looked over on the plains and the hills in the distance. ''If your father had the balls to finish the job, then we wouldn't be standing here now. He didn't finish it then and now, he reaped what he sow. I will avenge my father... with your blood, your father's blood and that of your entire family.''

''Don't make this personal, Daemon.''

''This was personal from the moment you stepped foot on the soil of my motherland.'' Daemon harshly replied.

''Then today... we decide the course of our history from this moment on.'' the prince drew his sword and so did his knights.

''Indeed we will.'' Daemon too drew his sword and he and his knights prepared to fight.

(small city near Decapolis)

Magogite jet fighters flew to destroy the poor quality Carathian fighters and helicopters came in to sack the city. As the civilians, gunfire and missiles echoed in the streets. Buildings, shops, houses and walls were blown apart and Naruto jumped out to face enemy soldiers and lead his troops to victory. Artillery were dropped down and imperial troopers began to arm them. Tanks and walkers were also dropped to provide support.

Naruto used his Susanoo ribcage as a shield to protect himself from gunfire and shells. He threw several grenades which blew up a machine gun nest. He jumped up and shot a fireball at a tank. The sand colored Carathian tank was still up and running and it fired but Naruto's Susanoo ribcage was able to resist it. Naruto shot a cero to destroy it and then shot several balas that killed a dozen Carathian soldiers. Naruto shot a cero to thin the enemy ranks. He skillfully killed a Carathian soldier, decapitated another, cut off another's legs and then head and shot a fire jutsu. Naruto used a corpse as a meat shield and charged at the enemy. He threw an explosive kunai which killed three Carathian soldiers and then he jumped and beheaded a tall Carathian soldier.

''Incoming fire!'' an imperial trooper shouted as dozens of shells from Carathian cannons shot down. In response, Naruto summoned his Susanoo and formed a black wind shield. He shot purple lightning to make them explode and managed to protect his troops.

''My lord Konstantine!'' a captain called out to Naruto. ''We captured a civilian truck. Hurry, my lord. While the plan still has a chance of success.''

''I understand. With me!'' Naruto ordered for the girls and half of them were sealed inside scrolls. They put on civilian clothing and quickly boarded to truck to 'flee' away from the city. With Naruto were Delta, Shizuka, Yugao, Guren and Samui. They headed for the Ten Cities.

''Advance! Take the city now!'' an imperial major ordered his troops and they began the advance. They gained ground quickly and the Carathian commanders grew desperate.

''Not one step backwards! If you desert your posts, you are a traitor!'' a Carathian army commander shouted and he and his men made a very desperate and very suicidal charge against Magogite guns.

''No mercy.'' the major ordered and they gunned down the charging Carathians without mercy. Blood was spilled and soldiers fell by the dozens. The terrified Carathians retreated, only to be gunned down by their commanding officers back in the lines.

The Magogite fighters had a lock on Naruto's position. They shot the other fleeing civilians that were further away from Naruto's positions, killing dozens. Vehicles were taken out as they dropped bombs. Naruto and his company, inside the truck, managed to make it inside the Ten Cities and Carathian anti aircraft guns were fired. The Magogite fighters retreated back as they were in range. It was done, however, and the Carathian campaign now relied solely on Naruto and his servants.

Despite outnumbering the royal knights of Magog, the Carathians were losing. On their defense, Daemon was a very skilled and experienced warrior who fought hundreds before. Alongside Daemon was his faithful servant/ concubine, Pakura, who helped him. Now though, Daemon was currently facing seven enemies at once and he had killed fifteen in the last few moments. Daemon had summoned a secondary sword and he stood in the center, awaiting the moment his enemies struck.

''Let us make a pact, prince of Magog.'' prince Urik said to Daemon. ''Should we die, the victor shall allow the slain bodies to return to their homes.''

''There are no pacts between ordinary men and dragons.'' Daemon replied in a harsh tone and his enemies all struck.

It was like a deadly dance. Daemon used his better experience and skill and strength to gain the upper hand. He twirled his swords, using them to block their swings and he turned the tables, forcing them on the defensive. Daemon decapitated one knight and went on to attack another. Daemon managed to cut off the knight's arm and then behead him. Then, the prince moved to his third target. Daemon skillfully used his strength to make his enemy lose balance then struck him in the knee. Daemon then slit his throat and then moved to the fourth. Daemon's strikes were too much and the Carathian was forced back. Daemon formed his swords like a x and thrusted it forward. The knight block but it was extremely close to his face and Daemon slit his throat.

Prince Urik of Carathia roared in anger and took out a spear and attack Daemon. The two fought and halfway into the battle, Daemon broke the spear and they engaged in an intense duel. For the prince of Carathia, it was his most intense moment but for Daemon, it was just warm up. The Carathian prince managed to get an opening and struck Daemon but it was a trick. Daemon had trapped Urik's arm and then delivered a cut on his thigh. Daemon kicked Urik back and he walked around his prey. Urik got up and fought Daemon once more. Daemon managed to deliever four more cuts and he punched Urik hard on the left cheek. Prince Urik desperately attacked but Daemon managed to impale him on the shoulder with a dagger and push him down. Prince Urik stared at Daemon who then proceeded to thrust his sword directly at Urik's heart.

Daemon heard an angry war cry and managed to block a war hammer blow. It was deliervered by Urik's brother and Daemon saw another knight coming to attack. Daemon switched to his defensive pose but he was hit in his knee. Despite the pain, he continued fighting. Daemon killed the Carathian knight but the very big and strong brother of prince Urik grabbed him in a tight bear hug. Daemon tried to squirm but it was too tight. Seeing no choice, Daemon then bit into the man's neck and tear apart a piece of flesh. Daemon got his right arm free and then, with a hammer, stab the man to death. His knights and Pakura came to his side as they just finished their duels.

''What is... Konstantine's progress?'' Daemon asked Pakura.

''From the major's reports, he has successfully infiltrated the Ten Cities, my lord.'' Pakura answered.

''Good.'' said Daenon. ''The success of our campaign, lies with him now.''
