Rant 30) Book Covers

Okay this is where people judge books by covers and I'm like.... ugh just stop. I don't judge a book by its cover.

YOU KNOW WHAT I JUDGE?!

Description - I always read this!

The Plot - if the description is good I'll read the first chapter and decide to further read its content.

Grammar/Punctuation - if I like the plot I'll have to have good grammar and punctuation. I don't need professionalism, but decent enough that doesn't make me cringe.

And this is where most of the popular bad books are crowding the hashtags. Is really hawt pictures of the character and maybe your OC half assed imprinted on the cover. And boom! It gets super popular like your other books over night.

This. Is. Annoying. Stop. Please.

If you ever check my cover shop, or my book covers for my stories, I always take time creating my book covers. I want to blend, create some designs and make them all look decent.

They're not bad at all. Trust me. If you want to know what bad looks like. Type in Naruto in your search bar. Those book covers are bleh. And yet, many people love the book covers ignoring the contents inside. They're really popular books that have disgusting grammar and punctuation. And BARELY anyone calls out the dumbass authors who can't write for shit with their bad retelling plotlines with their overpowering OCs that I wish I can smash their heads in sometimes.

Look, they're book covers. I would judge a book based on description and content. Not if Itachi is placed on the cover. I mean it helps to know if it's an Itachi/OC story. But seriously stop with judging books.

You'd be surprise from what you'll find. Honestly this book was rank 3 in Naruto and now its up to around 80-90 the past few days. It keeps changing. Super strange that it'll most likely stay like that.

I like to find books thoroughly based on the content, not by book cover or reads. I legit don't care how much reads you have. Many of us on here think that the less reads, oh it must be trash.

No, not at all. It just means the story is underrated because the other horrendous stories clog up the hashtag system.

There is this author that I don't really like that much because she can create any Naruto story and it'll get insta famous. She has a Madara story okay, and the content was straight ass. I watched the book rank from 19k to 100k+ reads in less than 6 months. And she updated weekly like I do.

I have been back for some time now and been updating weekly for my story, I have good covers that took me time to make. I don't know if people really like retelling old ass garbage plot lines straight from the manga/anime. But every three-ish weeks I gain a thousand reads for the recent Madara story.

Like, I don't get it at all.

Her paragraphs are ALWAYS centred and the book covers are like gorgeous I guess. But the content is awful in my opinion. Not descriptive and what not.

What turns me off from stories is popularity from authors. You may have good ass stories but for some reason, I hate you since myself and a lot of people work our asses off getting nowhere on this app.

I'm so done with the bias judgements with this horrible app. Ugh. If you want good stories then fanfiction.net has the best. I'll keep telling you now.
