Ryder's pov~

"Mate", my wolf whispered.

"What?", I questioned him. Before he could answer, my nose was filled with an irresistible smell that I have never smelled before. As I followed the scent, I was met with a door that was my class that I was supposed to be in. I was always late to school since I was busy having fun on my bed with a girl, even in the morning, that I had no time for school. But I still had to go, since I was going to be an alpha soon.

I quickly opened the door and looked at the very back row, meeting eye contacts with Jasmine, expecting her to be my mate. But she wasn't. My mate was close. As my eyes wondered from Jasmine to a row before hers, I was faced with a beautiful pair of blue eyes. She was pretty. But she wasn't Jasmine. She was Melanie. She wasn't as popular as Jasmine nor as proud as Jasmine. She couldn't be my Luna, let alone the Luna of the strongest and largest pack in the world.

Melanie's pov~

"Mate", my wolf whispered. Oh no. My mate was Ryder? The Ryder Woods? who was famous for being a player? There was no way that an alpha can be my mate. Knowing that Ryder was going to reject me, I quickly got all my things ready as the bell rung. As I was the last one to leave the class, a hand grabbed me harshly by the arm and I was pushed against the wall.

"You are my mate huh?", he snickered.

"Y-yes", I mumbled. I was scared. Being an alpha meant he could do everything he wanted to.

"Are you ready to be my Luna and the Luna of one of the largest and strongest pack in the world?"

"No"

"No?", I honestly was not ready. If he really loved me and wanted to be with me, maybe I wouldn't have been so scared. But I was.

"I, Melanie Cole, reject you, Ryder Wood as my mate" With that, I left, glancing a last look on my ex mate who looked shocked and angry.

I just hoped I wouldn't regret this.
