Four Days...
Just four........

Β  Β Β  You have been here for four days. Your father hasn't tried anything. Nothing at all. He let's you wander freely, has someone prepare whatever it is you wish. But for these last four days, you have been suspicious. Why did he suddenly decide to take you away? You are still unaware of what it is he said to Ferid. Not only that but....

Β  Β  Β  This is nothing like how he treated you here in the past.

Β  Β  Β  These walls held dark memories for you. The various punishments, the yelling, and most importantly.....Where you last saw your mother in a healthy state. It was like the universe wanted to rub the fact that the two of you was abandoned in your faces. Your mother had discovered the cancer shortly after and you were the only one that she had. Other than your father, the two of you had no other family.

"What do you guys think he's up to?"

"That's a very good question."

So the two demons you had within you were of no help. Neither of them. You stopped in front of a window, looking out at wide lush yard. You were still above ground, somewhere on the outskirts of Hamamatsu. Your father was gone at the moment. He disappears often, you use that time to look around. You have found nothing yet but you only have three days left.

Β  Β  Β  You turned away from the window then began walking down the corridor. "This is where his office is if I remember." You mumbled to yourself.

Β  Β  Β  You began walking towards the study, the closer you got the more familiar the area became. Suddenly memories came flowing back. They weren't good either. This is where you were often brought for your punishments when you got in trouble. Naturally a child would rebel after being forced to live with a man that abandoned them and their sick mother.

Β  Β  Β  Soon enough, a door located at the end of the corridor came into view. You lifted your hand to knock but then hesitated.

You stood in front of the large door, nervously twiddling your thumbs. You finally built up the courage to knock but stopped as soon as you heard your mother's voice.

"Please Karl! She's just a child and didn't mean to. Children make mistakes. That's just a part of growing up." Your mother pleaded. "Silence! I will not tolerate her insolence." He grumbled. "If you continue to be harsh, your only child will grow up to hate you. You are taking her childhood away and replacing it with fear."

You heard footsteps, they were soft so they were likely your mother's. Suddenly the door flung open with your arm still raised in the ready to knock position. Your mother's expression was angry, her e/c eyes filled with rage. The moment she looked at you, her expression softened.

You looked up at her before looking to your father as he called out to you. "Y/n."

You hesitated before finally taking a step in, the doors closing behind you. They closed with a loud thud, causing you to flinch. You kept your eyes on the floor. The floor was hardwood and very reflective, causing you to be able to see the fear on your face.

He glared down at you as you stopped in front of him. "Now, tell me, What is it you did wrong?" His voice was deep, feeling the vibration of it in even your soul. "I....I went into the basement without your permission.....sir." You answered, glancing up at him for a second before quickly looking back down.

"And?"

"And I broke some things..." You said, this time your voice softer. "Which?" He queried. "Wouldn't have happened if I wasn't in the basement-" "Correct." He simply stated before turning away to grab the yard stick that was resting on his desk. "Wait...Papa.. I didn't mean it...it was an accident!"

You sighed out, grabbing the handle. You opened the door, stepping inside before quietly shutting it. You didn't want to alert the city guard vampires that was posted here. Especially Lacus and RenΓ©. You stared at the large room. Bookshelves lined the walls, up to the roof. You quietly closed the door behind you, looking the room over. "alright....let's do this." You whispered to yourself. You walked over to his desk, starting to go through his drawers.

You had only found a few papers on matters with Sanguinem and others on his human counterpart. He acted as a wealthy business man before the virus, hiding any part of him being a Vampire such as his ears, fangs, and eyes. How he came to meet your mother is something you were unaware of.

Β  Β  Β  Once you saw that there was nothing of use in his desk, you moved over to one of the many bookshelves. You climbed the ladder, starting with the first shelf. You began pulling books out and scanned through the pages. You sighed as the thought of going through all these books crossed your mind. After about the fifth book, thats when something finally caught your attention. You were sitting the book back on the shelf when you heard the book hit the back of the shelf. It sounded hollow. Up until now, the books hadn't made that sound against the shelf.

Β  Β  Β  To be sure, you took another book out and reached back, tapping on the wood. Just as you thought, the sound it made was different. You placed the book back and felt around in the hollowed area. You pushed in on the hollow panel, seeing the it flap open.

Inside was documents, which you reached in and grabbed. You started shuffling through the documents. You froze.

Β  Β  Β  "What....What are these?" You queried.

Β  Β  Β  The third page in big bold letters said
"Lebensplan: Ayaka L/n."

Β  Β  Β  The paper had a small picture of a girl that looked like your mother. You hadn't seen pictures of your mother as a child but you knew it was her just from the gentle smile on her face.

Β  Β  Β  The papers starting from there was written in german. Considering your father and some of the people that worked under him spoke German often, you picked up on it. Thus was also in addition to your mom knowing basic German and teaching you.

Β  Β  Β  "Ayaka L/n, born to a low class family. Mother died in child birth, father died of suicide a few short days later. She was sent to Hyakuya orphanage where she will remain for a year during tests. Candidate number: 00068." You stopped, flipping to the next page.

Β  Β  Β  "At the age of one, she will be adopted into a well off family that resides in the Chiba prefecture. From there tests will continue to be ran and monitored by the family's scientists. Memories of the tests will be sealed away deep within the brain. By the age of six candidate should show improvement. She will be sent to school to have basic education. And will be chosen as a future bride."

Β  Β  Β  You stopped reading, thinking over everything you've read so far. "Father had a life plan set for mother....since she was born...how is that even possible? Does that mean he anticipated her death?"

Β  Β  Β  You started scanning through, flipping through page after page. Eventually you got to the part that mentioned your birth and it stopped there. You let out a short sigh.

You flipped to one of the last few pages. They seemed to be notes but these were written in Japanese in your father's handwriting. "Making a child as both a vampire and a seraph seemed to prove successful without complications. She will be married off in the future to Kureto Hiiragi. Candidate 00068 has died and the remainder of the test has been seen as a failure. Ayaka is to be believed that there is also a demon residing in her. After her death, she was moved to the lab under the Hamamatsu manor for preservation and further tests to determine if this is true." You stopped for a brief moment, reading over the last few lines multiple times.

"She's here...in the basement?" You queried. You stood in shock for a moment before deciding to quickly put things back. You kept the papers with you but returned everything else. You got off the ladder, leaving the room. You knew there were always guards to the basement but you had another way of getting there.
β€”β€”β€”
Β  Β  Β  You walked down the long corridor, heading downstairs. Your place of entry was in the hall that separated the kitchen from the dining room.

Β  Β  Β  You stopped in front of a wall, crouching down to the wainscoted part of the wall. You pushed it in, it being revealed as a door. It blended with the wall because of the wainscoting so no one was ever able to tell this was here.

Β  Β  Β  You crawled in, using your foot to close. The tunnel was dark and filled with webs since it wasn't cleaned. As a child you would be in and out so it wasn't likely that it would get this dirty. You also had access to a flash light but you had the tunnel memorized. "Take a left." You said as you crawled to the left at a split. You crawled for about another two minutes before you reached a small door. You pushed it open, climbing out.

Β  Β  Β  Now you were placed on the other side of the guarded basement doors, at the top of the long stairs.

Β  Β  Β  You looked down the stairs, nervousness building. What if it was all a lie? But it could also be true... You sighed. "Theres no going back now." You whispered softly. You started walking down the stairs. Now your father mostly stays in Sanguinem so his lab shouldn't have changed. It was a big open room. About the size of a ballroom. It had walls lined with shelves of different physics and various science books, large tables with different projects being done.Β  Another set of tables, shelves and some cabinets that kept odd devices of science and other resources and tools. You loved it for some reason as a child.

It should be right at the bottom of the stairs. You got to the end of the steps, flipping the switch. You really wasn't prepared for what you saw. The wall in front of you was lined with giant tubes that could fit a person in it. The was a break in the line for a door. Both the door and the tube were different.

Β  Β  Β  They weren't here before. You made way towards the door, making sure to look around at everything. Other than the tubes and added room, everything remained the same.

Β  Β  Β  You stopped in front of the door, hesitating. This has to be where she it. She wasn't in any of the tubes. Matter of fact, all of them was empty. You took a moment to prepare yourself, grabbing the knob and turning it. You didn't actually push it until you were ready. Though no amount of preparation helped. Once you stepped into the room you fell apart.

Β  Β  Β  There she was. In a large tube, floating in some weird green liquid. Her body seemed healthy considering when you last saw her, she was skinny and her hair was thin. She looked like she was well taken care of. Her h/c hair ran down her back, her body had meat on it. He was really preserving her body. But why?
