Chapter XIX: Again

3 Months After...

Michelle sat quietly in her home, lost in her thoughts, when a familiar knock echoed through the room. Her heart raced as she hurried to the door.

As she opened it, Antonnia stood there, eyes brimming with emotion. Without a word, she rushed forward, wrapping her arms around Michelle, whispering, "I miss you," in a whiney tone that tugged at her heart.

Michelle hugged her tightly, a smile spreading across her face as she whispered back, "Welcome home, love."

She pulled her gently into the apartment, her heart racing with the intensity of their reunion. As they reached the room, she couldn't contain her emotions any longer and kissed Antonnia deeply, pouring all the longing and love she had felt during their time apart into that kiss.

"I missed you so much," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. Antonnia responded with equal fervor, their connection reigniting with a passion that had only grown stronger in their absence.

They made love throughout the night, each touch and caress a testament to the depth of their bond. The world outside ceased to exist as they lost themselves in each other, reclaiming the intimacy they had yearned for during their separation.

Michelle POV

As we lay together, Antonnia looked into my eyes and asked softly, "What have you been doing for the past two years?"

I sighed, my fingers gently playing with her hair. "I lied when I said I accepted a job in the Philippines. I couldn't bring myself to leave Thailand, to leave you completely. I stayed here and worked as a photographer."

Antonnia's eyes widened in surprise. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want to make things harder for you," I explained, my voice filled with emotion. "I knew how much you were sacrificing, and I didn't want to add to your worries. Staying here, even if it was just in the background, felt like the closest I could be to you."

I paused, looking down for a moment before meeting her gaze again. " Your old manager helped me find clients, even when I refused his help at first."

Antonnia felt a lump in her throat, overwhelmed by the depth of my dedication. She cupped my face in her hands, her voice trembling. "Thank you for staying close. It means more to me than you'll ever know."

"I'm sorry," I whispered, tears welling up in my eyes. "I'm sorry I let him influence me. I thought I was doing what was best for you, but I see now how it might have hurt you."

Antonnia shook her head gently, wiping away the tears from my cheeks. "It's okay. We both did what we thought was right at the time. What's important is that we're here now, together."

We shared a tender kiss, the connection between us stronger than ever, knowing we had endured the challenges and were finally together again. Antonnia pulled me closer, whispering, "Let's not let anything or anyone come between us ever again."

We held each other tightly, finding comfort in our shared warmth, ready to face whatever the future held together.

Antonnia turned to face me fully, her eyes locking onto me with an intensity that spoke volumes. "These past two years have been the hardest of my life, but they've also shown me how much I need you, how much I love you. I don't want to be that robot anymore. I want to be real, with you."

I leaned in, my forehead resting against her"I'm here now," I whispered. "And I'm not going anywhere."

Antonnia POV

In the morning, I woke up and noticed that Michelle was not beside me. Panic surged through me, and I shouted her name.

"Love..."

"L-Love... M-Michelle..."

Frantically, I checked the bathroom and kitchen, but she was nowhere to be found. Tears welled up in my eyes as I opened the door to go outside, only to find her standing there with a breakfast takeout in her hand.

"Good morning," Michelle said with a gentle smile.

I let out a relieved laugh, my tears turning into a mix of happiness and amusement. I hugged her tightly, feeling the warmth and comfort of our reunion.

"I thought you left," I whispered, holding her close.

"Never," her replied, brushing a tear from my cheek. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
As we sat down to eat, I looked at her with a mix of vulnerability and determination.

"I need to tell you something," I began, my voice soft yet firm. "I know you were at my apartment two years ago. I remember everything. We made love that night."

Michelle paused, her fork halfway to her mouth. She set it down gently and reached across the table to take my hand.

"I didn't know if you remembered," she said quietly. "I was so scared it was just a dream for you."

I squeezed her hand. "I remember every detail. That night gave me the strength to keep going, even when everything felt unbearable."

Michelle's eyes softened. "I was afraid you might have forgotten, or that you might have pushed it away because of everything else going on."

I shook my head. "I could never forget you. You were my anchor, even when we were apart. And now that you're here, I don't want to lose you again."

We sat in silence for a moment, the weight of our shared memories and the promise of our future hanging in the air. Finally, she smiled and said, "Let's make sure we never have to be apart like that again."

I nodded, my heart swelling with a mix of relief and hope. "Agreed."

Michelle POV

As we continued eating, I looked at Antonnia curiously. "How did you know that night wasn't a dream?"

She grinned mischievously. "Well, I had a pretty telling clue," she said, leaning in. "You left a kiss mark on a very specific part of my body. And knowing how much you love giving marks there, I knew it had to be real."

My cheeks turned pink, but I quickly recovered with a playful retort. "Oh, so it's my fault for leaving such obvious evidence?"

Antonnia laughed, shaking her head. "You know I love it. Besides, it's not like I could forget something that special."

I chuckled. "Well, you always did say you liked my marks. Guess I was just giving you what you wanted."

We laughed together, the sound of our shared joy filling the room. The heaviness of the past two years seemed to lift, replaced by the comfort of being together again.

Antonnia looked at me with a soft smile. "I have a meeting for lunch today, but I'll be back right after that."

I couldn't resist a playful tease. "Oh, a meeting? Or is it a secret date with your rumored girlfriend?"

Her eyes widened in mock horror as she whined and pouted. "What? No! I promise it's just a boring meeting. In fact," she added, playfully crossing her arms, "maybe I won't go at all."

I laughed, reaching out to ruffle her hair. "Alright, alright. Just teasing. Go to your meeting. I'll be here when you get back."

Antonnia leaned in for a quick kiss. "Okay, but only because you promised to wait for me."

Antonnia POV

When I returned, I found Michelle sitting on the couch, busily typing away on her phone. Feeling playful, I crept up behind her and asked, "Are you messaging your other lover?"

Without missing a beat, Michelle looked up with a mischievous grin. "Actually, I was just informing my other lover that we're having a dinner date tonight."

I burst into laughter, leaning in to give her a quick kiss. "Well, I hope your other lover knows how lucky she is."

She laughed too, pulling me into a warm embrace. "I think she does. And I think she's pretty lucky too."

My playful mood quickly shifted to jealousy at her teasing answer. I pouted, my lower lip jutting out as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"That's not funny!" I whined, my tone bordering on childish.

Michelle couldn't help but burst into laughter at the sight. "Oh, come on! You know I'm just kidding," she said between chuckles.

But I wasn't easily placated. "I'm serious! You can't joke about having another lover," I insisted, my voice still whiny.

She was still giggling, and reached out to pull me into a hug. "Alright, alright. I'm sorry. You know you're the only one for me," she said, trying to soothe her.

I let myself be hugged but continued to sulk, my cheeks puffed out. "You better be," I mumbled, but a small smile was already tugging at my lips.

Michelle laughed even harder, finding my jealousy endearing. "You're too adorable when you're like this," she said, planting a kiss on my forehead.

I, still smiling, gently pulled Antonnia towards the couch. "Come here," I said softly, guiding her to sit down beside me. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close into a warm embrace.

"I'm really sorry for the hurtful things I said when we broke up," I murmured into her hair, my voice filled with genuine remorse. "I never meant any of it."

Antonnia snuggled closer, her pout softening as she melted into the comfort of the cuddle. "I was so scared you really meant it," she whispered, her voice tinged with vulnerability.

I tightened my hold, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "I love your jealousy and your childish acts," I said, my tone sincere and loving. "I love every part of you. And I promise, we will never break up again."

Antonnia looked up, her eyes shimmering with a mix of relief and happiness. "You mean it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I mean it," I affirmed, my eyes meeting her with unwavering certainty. "You're stuck with me forever."

Antonnia's lips curved into a genuine smile, her heart feeling lighter than it had in a long time. "Forever sounds perfect," she said, leaning in to kiss me, sealing our promise with a kiss.

Antonnia chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with a playful glint. "Forever sounds harrowing," she joked, "but I like it." She held out her pinky finger towards Michelle, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

Michelle laughed, shaking her head slightly at her antics. "Harrowing, huh? Well, I guess we'll just have to brave it together," she said, hooking her pinky finger around Antonnia in a playful yet solemn gesture.

"Pinky promise," Antonnia said, her voice carrying a blend of seriousness and playfulness. She looked into Michelle's eyes, feeling a deep sense of connection and love.

"Pinky promise," Michelle echoed, their fingers intertwined in the symbolic gesture. They both knew that this promise, made in the lightheartedness of the moment, held a deeper meaning-a vow to stay by each other's side, no matter what.

As they sat there, their pinkies locked in promise, they felt an overwhelming sense of reassurance and love, knowing they had each other to navigate the future together.

"I have surprised for you but you have to wait for days" Antonnia says

"What is it?"

Antonnia face grew serious, her playful demeanor shifting to something more intense. "It's a surprise, and you'll have to wait," she repeated firmly.

Michelle, sensing the change in her mood, tried to lighten the atmosphere with a playful grin. "I bet you're going to propose to me," she joked.

But Antonnia didn't smile. Instead, she looked deeply into her eyes and said softly, "Maybe I am." The weight of her words hung in the air, the seriousness of her tone making it clear she wasn't joking.

Michelle playful expression melted into one of surprise and emotion. "Are you serious?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Antonnia nodded, her eyes filled with sincerity. "Yes, I am. But you'll have to wait and see." She reached out, taking Michelle hand in hers, squeezing it gently.

Michelle heart swelled with emotion, her mind racing with the possibilities of what the future might hold. "I can't wait," she said, her voice trembling with anticipation.

Antonnia smiled then, her earlier seriousness giving way to a tender expression. "Neither can I," she whispered, pulling Michelle into a warm embrace.

Michelle POV

During our dinner date, the air was filled with anticipation. My heart raced each time Antonnia made a sudden move, especially when she knelt down. But each time, she was simply adjusting her shoes or fixing her socks, leaving me in a state of suspense.

As the night wore on and the dessert plates were cleared, my excitement slowly turned into frustration. I couldn't help but feel grumpy and disappointed as we left the restaurant.

After our dinner date, my mood was noticeably sour. As we walked, Antonnia asked, "Why are you being so grumpy?"

I sighed and replied, "No, nevermind."

This pattern repeated a few times, each inquiry met with the same dismissive response. Frustrated, I began to walk away. But before I could take more than a few steps, she grabbed my hand and pulled me back. Without warning, Antonnia kissed me deeply on the lips.

"I love you," she whispered, her eyes searching for understanding.

My grumpiness melted away in an instant, replaced by a soft smile. "I love you too," I said, finally relaxing into the embrace.

Walking side by side, Antonnia noticed my change in mood. "What's wrong? You seemed so happy earlier," she asked, genuinely puzzled.

I sighed, crossing my arms. "I just... I thought tonight might be the night you proposed," I admitted, unable to hide my disappointment.

Antonnia's eyes widened in realization, and she chuckled softly, wrapping an arm around me. "Oh, love, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lead you on like that. I promise, when the time comes, it will be perfect. But tonight, I just wanted us to enjoy a simple, wonderful dinner together."

I couldn't help but smile, my grumpiness fading away. "Fine, but you better not make me wait too long," I teased, leaning into her embrace.

Antonnia kissed my forehead. "I won't, I promise. Just be patient a little longer."

Antonnia POV

Michelle and I were lying on the bed, wrapped in each other's arms. The room was dimly lit, casting a warm glow around us. We enjoyed the peaceful silence, savoring the rare moment of tranquility.

After a while, Michelle became playful. She started poking my side, making me squirm and giggle.

With her mischievous smile." Take off my shirt."

My eyes widened with excitement, my thoughts immediately wandering to more intimate possibilities. I propped myself up on one elbow, looking down at her with a smirk.

" Really? You want me to do that?" I said teasingly

Michelle was laughing. "Yes, but only because you're wearing my shirt."

I looked down and realized I was indeed wearing her shirt. My face turned red with embarrassment, and I quickly sat up.

I was laughing." Oh! I didn't even notice. I thought..."

She was grinning. "I know what you thought. You have such a gutter mind sometimes."

I laughed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement. I reached for the hem of the shirt and pulled it over my head, tossing it to the side.

" There, happy now?"

"Much better. Now I can have my shirt back." with her mock serious tone

Michelle POV

Antonnia smile faded slightly, replaced by a grumpy pout.

"Now I'm cold." she says as she grumbles

I pulled her close, whispering softly in her ear.

" Easy access, remember?"

Antonnia's eyes sparkled with renewed excitement. Her grumpiness melted away, replaced by a playful grin. We made real what she had been thinking, our touches growing more intimate and our kisses deeper. We moved together in a dance of love and passion, our connection deepening with each passing moment.

Afterward, we lay intertwined, catching our breath and savoring the closeness.

I say softly. "I miss your grumpiness, your childishness, your pouts and jealousy. They're all part of you, and I love every bit of it."

Antonnia blushed, feeling a rush of warmth at my words. She snuggled closer, feeling utterly content.

" I love you, too."

We held each other tightly, our hearts beating in unison, knowing that no matter what, we would always have each other.
