Requested: Getting Back Together In The Most Awkward Way

Izzy's Point of View:
Tonight is going to incredible night and it's not just because I finally get a break from work, but it's because I get to spend it with my love of my life. Yes, I've had past boyfriends, but sometimes we need to go through certain people to know who is truly meant for us. I get into a beautiful red dress where it cuts low in the back and I put on my black heels along with a pair of earrings and a necklace to complete the outfit. By the time I'm finished, my boyfriend walks into the bedroom to look at me and stands there in awe.

"You're so beautiful. You know that, right?" My boyfriend compliments. From his kind words, I smile and look down at the ground, but he brings me back to look at him. He kisses me for a few seconds, but despite how short it was, it was clear that he does love me. I grab my purse from the bedside table and we both head out the front door. We get ourselves situated in the car and we drive off to the restaurant that my boyfriend picked out for date night. All he told me was that it's a high-end restaurant and that I had to dress up for it, but either way, I was excited to go. After the twenty minute drive, we both got to the restaurant and noticed the long line of people waiting to get inside.

We walked inside and confirmed our reservation, then the hostess brought us to our booth. Making small talk and scanning through the menu for our entree, he started rubbing my free hand with his thumb and we both smiled at each other. The sweet moment was cut short when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the familiar blonde hair that I still haven't gotten over. Could it be him? Please tell me it's not him. It's him, oh god. I looked back at the menu, but I know that my boyfriend is looking at me weirdly. Could this night get any worse? The waitress came back over and took our order and sat down some bread sticks between my boyfriend I, so to distract myself, I started eating the bread sticks. Every now and then, I noticed Kyle kept glancing at me discreetly and I tried so hard not to give back the eye contact.

"I have to go to the restroom. I'll be right back," I said and walked into the girls restroom. I went toward the mirror to look at myself while washing my hands. Izzy, you can do this. You can do this. I walk out of the restroom and I find myself face to face with the person I dreaded running into.

"Izzy," Kyle said.

"Listen Kyle, I don't want to hear it." I started to walk past him, but he pulled me back and forced me to look at him.

"I still love you. I loved you when we got together and I loved you when we broke up. Please Izzy, I still love you." Hearing those words come out of him rhythmically just stopped me from leaving. I didn't even know what to say to him.

"I love you too. I've felt the same way since we broke up."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. I never thought it'd end up this way." Kyle smiled and grabbed my hand.

"So, would you be my girlfriend again?" He asked with a smile threatening to show.

"Yes I would." We both walk out of the restroom area hand in hand to discover both of our significant others are talking to one another at the booth we were at. Kyle and I looked at each other and went over to the table where they were.

"You don't have to say anything. You have my blessing," I said to my now ex-boyfriend and Kyle and I left the restaurant.
