Needles and Thread Can't Fix Every Wound - Kat X Noble Six Male!Reader

You sat on the pelican exhausted, both physically and emotionally. With Jorge sacrificing himself, transporting annoying civilians, and taking down many Elites, you just need a little break from it all. You stood up and walked to the edge of the Pelican as it neared the landing pad.

When Jorge died-sacrificed himself-, you were quite sad. Out of all of Noble Team, he seemed to care the most. Not just to you, but to everyone. To the farmers, to that girl at Sword Base. To everyone, even to Emile on our little breaks. He was, though, the first person to accept you into Noble Team. You know why.

You looked out at burning New Alexandria. It was a sad sight to see. You got out and met up with Carter and chatted for a moment before getting on a Pelican and going to three different places, turning off jammers. After you finished the struggle of killing all of the Covenant, you went to the tower where Kat was holed up.

When you arrived at the tower, you announced the news that Jorge sacrificed himself. There was a moment of silence...not an awkward one, but a silence commemorating Adam Jorge.

Emile left shortly down the elevator to the lower floors with a shotgun that was empty. You and Kat were startled when you heard a scream of desperation and many windows shattering on the floors below.

You went up to Kat, who was working on a console with her helmet beside her. You kneeled down beside her, watching her work.

"Your in my light, Lieutenant," she stated.

"Maybe I want to be," you replied. She sighed and looked away from her work and at you. She smirked at you and stood up, bringing you with her. She wrapped her arms around your neck while you put your hands on her waist.

"While Emile may not be so cheerful, I'm glad that you're back," she said with a smile, pulling off your helmet. You stopped her and pulled your helmet up only to your nose, with only your mouth and nose showing.

She pouted and said, "Can't I see your face?"

You shook your head and moved closer to her, holding her tighter and closer to you. She started to close her eyes and lean closer.

When your lips met, fireworks exploded inside you. You felt warm, and safe,-something you haven't felt in a long time- and content. You felt as though you were back home, playing with toys as a child, getting warm chocolate chip cookies baked fresh from the oven.

You made the kiss deeper, tongues now connected, saliva mixed. Not to sound like a pervert, but she tasted good. The kiss lasted a minute or so more until she pulled away for air.

Breathing heavily, she spoke, "I was afraid that I would lose you." You hugged her tighter and she returned the hug.

She whispered to you, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," you replied in a softer whisper.

She then hesitated with something. She pulled back far enough to still have her arms around you but she was looking into your eyes...or where they should be, but the helmet was blocking her view.

She took off your helmet completely and dropped it on the floor carelessly. She now checked you out. Your hair, your eyes, your nose, your mouth, your ears, you in general.

She blushed, staring into your eyes saying, "I love you." She then quickly looked down, avoiding eye contact. That was the first 'I love you' spoken between you two. You blushed a deep red, and looked at her flustered form.

She started to panic, "Don't feel like you have to say it back or anything. In fact, I shouldn't have even said that, I mean, we're both bound to die and it will just hurt if the relationship gets deeper and all of that. You know what, I'll just go back to my work and-." She started to turn away and let go of you but you held her tighter. You grabbed her chin and forced her to look at you.

"I love you more," she giggled and smiled. She hugged you tighter and giggled in joy. You both kissed again, happily.

You ended your little love scene before anyone could barge in and watched Kat do her work.

Soon, the remaining five members of Noble Team gathered in this room. Carter was off to the side while Kat still worked on the console. Jun was looking out for patrols of wandering Covenant and Emile came up from smashing windows and was now sitting on the floor a distance a ways.

Jun interrupted the silence by saying, "Look at this place, used to be the crown jewel, not anymore."

He then looked at me and said, "Hey, you made it."

"It's a regular family reunion," Emile blurted out, messing with his kukri knife. I thought of an idea and took out Jorge's dog tags, planning to give them to Emile.

"Keep 'em, he gave them to you. I'll honor him my own way," he said, slashing the air. You felt sad for Emile, he has probably gone through a lot.

"Jorge always said he would never leave Reach," Jun said before Emile laughed. Everyone glanced at Emile.

"Big man was sentimental," Emile said.

"He gave his life thinking he just saved the planet, we should all be so lucky," Carter replied.

Colonel Holland then contacted Carter, giving him orders. Nothing really happened before Jun got interested in something he saw through the binoculars.

"We've got movement, multiple Covenant vehicles vacating the area, and they're in a hurry," Jun said, facing Carter.

"How often you see Covenant retreat for no reason?," Emile asked.

"Radiation flare, big, 40 million mooncahns," Kat stated. (I'm sorry but I have no idea what the fuck she says there)

"Just lost Holland, what's going on?," Carter asked.

"Atomic excitement scrambled the signal, 19 million now" Kat said.

"Source," Carter asked.

"Airborne, close," Kat told him.

"How close?," Carter asked her. An explosion blasted the windows out, and made us fall to the ground.

"That close," Kat shouted.

Everyone got up and ran to the elevators but you helped Kat up and dragged her to the elevators.

"First glassing?," she asked you after she put on her helmet when the elevator doors closed, "Me too."

Carter and her started to talk about the bunker underground where you could all hide in until the glassing was over, but you didn't really pay attention to their conversation.

The doors to the guys' elevator opened first, and they made it across to the bunker.

"What does he get by calling a demolition a priority one-," and with what Kat said, she fell to the ground. You caught her before her head could hit the ground, needle shot cracking her visor.

You grabbed her pistol and started firing at the Sangheili Field Marshall. You missed some of the shots, but that didn't matter. You holstered her pistol in your slot and dragged her into the bunker.

The doors closed, and you laid her on the ground. You put her head on your lap and slowly took her helmet off. It revealed that the shot went in through the back of her head and out of her cheek. It was a bloody, messy sight to see.

You just stared at her, in despair. You were startled when someone laid a hand on your shoulder. You spun around, stood up, and aimed Kat's pistol at them. That person ended up being Carter.

"Hey! Calm down Six. I'm not going to hurt you, we are friendlies," he soothed with his hands raised while Jun and Emile had their guns aimed at you.

You looked at him, then your hands and the gun you were aiming at him, you lowered your weapon- Kat's weapon- not letting go of it though. While Jun lowered his gun, Emile walked towards you, forcing you on your knees, trying to disarm you.

"Emile!," Carter shouted, but it was too late. You were on the brink, and fired. The bullet hit the ceiling but ricocheted onto the floor, a few feet in front of Carter.

Emile kicked you onto your stomach, disarming you and forcing your helmet off, aiming his gun at your head.

"If you move one fucking muscle, I will blow your fucking brains out!"

"Emile!," and with that shout, Carter pinned Emile to the nearest wall.

"Get your grip, Emile," Carter threatened.

"Carter, he was gonna kill you!," Emile said.

"And you were going to kill him. Why should I kill him and let you live when you both did the same crime?" Carter released him, Emile just stayed there.

You rolled off your stomach and onto your side, curling up into a ball and trying not to scream or cry. No one made the mistake to try to comfort you again.

You stayed in that position for hours, and for those hours, no one spoke.

You were probably three in the morning or around there when the silence was broken.

"We are a broken team."

You couldn't decipher who said it, but it was a true statement. The team you were in was broken. It only took two people's lives for it to be shown. Or maybe it was different. Maybe it took two people's lives to break the team. Whichever way it went, Noble Team was broken, fixable or not.

And the team was still breaking, mentally and physically.

I apologize in advance for this being kinda crappy (in my opinion). I got kinda lazy when writing this and didn't really feel like writing out entire conversations. So I apologize.

This was a request from coolin12321 so you are welcome and I hope you enjoy.

This is Shadow Leira, signing off.
