Truth or Dare (Detz)

Hey guys! I know I'm doing two Detz stories in a row but I'm obsessed with this ship.

Again, the art does not belong to me.

Fluff, no trigger warnings again.

I hope you like it, I promise the next story will not be Detz.

Thanks for reading!

Third-person POV

"Truth or dare?" Sophie asked.

"Umm... truth?" Dex responded, although his answer sounded more like a question than a confident answer.

"Alright, give us a hint as to who your crush is."

Dex thought for a moment before carefully replying.

"My crush is part of the Vacker family." He said. Dex knew that everyone would immediately assume that it was Biana because, like it or not, this was a heteronormative society. His crush wasn't Biana.

"Oh my gosh, it's Biana?!" Sophie squealed. Dex rolled his eyes internally, but at least he didn't have to out himself.

Biana pulled Dex aside, and nobody noticed Fitz staring after them looking like a kicked puppy.

When they were outside, Biana explained that she didn't like him like that, not aware of the whole gang (except Fitz) listening to their conversation through the door.

"Dex, you know I love you... but I don't like you romantically." She explained carefully, "You see, I'm not into guys." She finished, hoping she hadn't hurt his feelings.

"You don't have to explain Biana, it's not you who I have a crush on. It would be awkward if I liked you, you're like, my best friend."

On the other side of the door, the others let out a collective gasp. Marella and Lihn, who were not oblivious to everything like everyone else, knew what was happening. They told Fitz what had happened, pretending to be as shocked as everyone else. His face lit up.

Biana POV (because she's a queen and I adore her)

I invited Dex over today, I knew that he had a crush on someone in my family, and it wasn't me. So it was probably Fitz. I needed to make sure though.

I had called him the day after the whole Truth or Dare Incident, as I liked to call it. He had said that he preferred to talk about it in private, but that what he had said was the truth.

That's why now we were sitting on my bed, me grilling him with questions about his crush, sexuality, and, most importantly, Fitz.

"So, would you like to tell me about it now? We're in private and I have so many questions." It was a question, but it was clear that there was only one right answer.

"Ok... before I tell you this you should know that I'm pansexual," he started nervously.

"So you're attracted to pans." I deadpanned jokingly.

"If anyone says that again I will strangle them." Dex groaned. "And since you told me all about your hopeless crush on Sophie, I guess I'll tell you who I like, especially since you're related to them."

Dex leaned in closer to my ear, still paranoid of people overhearing.

"It's, um... Fitz," he said quietly. My response was anything but quiet, but I made sure not to scream his secret in the middle of the day.

"I knew it!" I screeched, "I'm so happy, I could've kissed you if either of us were, you know..." I lowered my voice to a conspiratory whisper, "straight. Ugh. The thought of liking boys makes me gag." I shuddered.

"It's not that bad," Dex replied with a mischievous smirk. I gaped at him. Now that he had no secrets he became a lot more confident. I liked this side of him better than the shy, ignored technopath.

Fitz POV

I know technically it's wrong to spy. But I did it anyway. I needed to know who Dex had a crush on. I used an elixir from Slurps and Burps to make myself invisible for an hour. Then I pretended to go out. I snuck into Biana's room and hear their whole conversation. I know it was wrong, but I don't regret it. Now I know that the guy I've been crushing on for years likes me back. Still invisible I ran back into my room and would've screamed in joy if it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't supposed to be home. Also, it would've been a little weird if I randomly screeched.

*Time skip to the next day*

I decided to go over to Rimeshire. I knew that Dex had a crush on me so there was nothing to lose. Of course, I dressed up a bit more than usual. I was still super nervous. I got to Rimeshire, the snow was a bit light today, which meant that it wasn't that cold. And I didn't have to cover my carefully picked-out outfit with a cape. I steeled my nerves and knocked on the door.

"Hi, Fitz! Are you here to see Dex?" Juline asked. I nodded, not quite trusting my voice yet. She led me up to Dex's room, knocking before saying, "Dex! A friend is here to see you!" Then she smiled and left.

I heard the sound of crashing, then there was another crash and a groan. I winced before the door opened, to reveal Dex, his room looked surprisingly clean for the amount of noise he had made while going to the door. Dex himself was a bit of a mess. His hair was ruffled up, and his shirt was wrinkled. I noticed his hair was curly.

He must straighten it, I thought, that's too bad, he looks adorable.

"Fitz!"  Dex yelped. Straightening out his shirt.

"Hey, Dex! Can I come in?" I asked, chuckling at his flustered state.

He squeaked nodded and let me inside, shutting the door behind us.

"I need to tell you something," I said. I could feel my courage draining out of my body.

"I actually should tell you something too. You go first though" Dex replied.

"Ikindasortamaybehaveahugecrushonyou," I said, squeezing my eyes shut. I knew Dex liked me back but what if he changed his mind? What if he rejected me?

"You mean it?" Dex's voice reached my ears. I swallowed and nodded.

"I like you too, Fitz." He murmured, stepping closer to me. I opened my eyes, suddenly faced with the view of Dex standing only inches away. He licked his lips and looked down.

I gently pushed his chin to look up at me.

"Hey, Dex..." I suddenly found my voice.

"Hmm?" Dex returned.

"Can I... kiss you?" I turned bright red, even though I was the one asking. Dex blushed and nodded. I swooped down and kissed his soft lips gently. He kissed me back and I felt all the butterflies in my stomach explode like fireworks.

Suddenly I heard a squeal. We pulled away so fast that I had whiplash.

Someone suddenly came into view.

Biana's POV

I had followed my brother to Dex's house, I snuck into his room and watched the whole exchange. It was beautiful. Then they kissed. I squealed loudly, completely forgetting that they didn't know I was there. They pulled away and I came into view.

"It's about time." Was all I said. Then I left the room to tell the triplets.

Done! This one was kinda crappy, to be honest.

Also, I might update less because the place where I work just opened back up.

I hope you liked it!
