Chapter 5

Chapter 5
Sarah Jones POV

My office was right next to his office. I was disappointed to see it had transparent glass windows unlike his' which looked like mirrors from outside.
Come on man, it was no fun.

He is such a pervert and two-faced person. He can see everyone from inside, but nobody can see him from outside his office and I, I had no privacy.

Such a conspirator. I hate him.

The office was small but airy, painted in similar hues of white. There was a huge glass window in the opposite wall as well.
Thank God! I was not caged.

From the window, I could look outside the busy streets of New York. Maybe Mr. Woods had purposely installed such a huge window here.

If he does not like anybody's work, he could throw his employees out the window.
Yeah, totally possible.

But I liked the furniture in my office. A simple wooden desk and an amazing swivel chair.
Yayyy! I could have some fun at least. As soon as I sat and started to swing the chair, an email interrupted my actions.

"Do not swing the chair or else I will replace it with a simple wood chair which I will personally make sure is so uncomfortable to sit on, that you will never dare to swing a chair again in your lifetime."

What the hell!
I looked around and found a camera in one corner of my office. Mr. Jason, you pervert. There will be a special place for you in hell.

Right then, another email came.
"Do not curse me and come to my office."

Oh my! Was he a mind reader?
I have not said anything aloud. I was just cursing him in my mind.

When I exited my office, he was already standing outside his.
"Follow me" he said.

"I am a feminist. I won't follow you."

He rolled his eyes.
"Okay, miss Jones. Will you do me the honor to walk beside me, please?"

Oh, he had manners.

We went into a room which had giant shelves, covered with millions of files and documents.

"Miss Jones, I want you to arrange all these files according to their serial numbers and dates of the year. Also, while arranging them, make sure they are exactly aligned on these shelves. Not a single file should look out of place. Clean them too. This task should be completed by tomorrow."

I swallowed. "One day, but there are millions of files. It is not humanly possible sir."

A cunning smile crossed his face.
"You are a superwoman, Ms. Jones. It should not be difficult for you. After all women can do anything."
And then he winked at me and added "Long live feminism."

My heart would have fluttered if his calling me a superwoman was intended as a compliment, but he had straight away insulted me, challenging me that I would never be able to win against him.

"All right sir. I should better get to work."

He left the office but not before adding.

"Miss Jones. If you need a measuring tape to make sure the files are perfectly aligned, I will send it to you. After all, you do not possess a microscopic vision like mine."

Bastard.
