"Come Shope, come and say hello to our visitor.”

Shope walked down the stairs and approached the woman.

"Good afternoon, ma." she motioned to kneel down.

"Oh, no, no, get up, get up." The visitor waved her hand. "How are you doing?"

"I’m doing fine, ma.”

“Meet Mrs. Bankole, she’s the one who volunteered to take care of your sister’s treatment.”

Shope raised her brows.
“It’s nice meeting you ma. Thank you so much for what you’re doing for my family. May God repay you.”

“Amen, amen.” Susan replied. “All the glory to God. You see, it’s my joy that I can help. God is the one doing the work, I’m just a vessel.”

“Se ri, in this life, we should all be thankful to God, because we don’t know what can happen the next minute. God has used you for my family. I can see that you have Jesus, I don’t have to ask. You have done what he would have done. Ah! Eo ni so fo.” Subomi began.

“Amin!”

“E o ni danu!”

“Amin!”

“E o ni se oriburuku!”

“Amin!”

“Ile yin oni daru!”

“Amin.”

“Inu oko yin a dun sin yin.”

“Amin!”

“Inu awon omo yin a dun sin yin."

“Amin.”

“Inu awan omo omo yin adun sin yin.”

“Amin!”

“Inu awon omo omo omo yin a dun sinyin.”

“Amin.”

“Inu awon omo omo, omo, omo, omo, omo, omo, omo, omo, omo, o-"

“Mummy!” Shope shouted.

Subomi opened her eyes.

“Yes?”

“We have gotten your prayers! I’m sure she has gotten your point.” Shope said and moved away from her.

She couldn’t risk receiving a slap for shutting her mother up.

“Ehn ehn. Ah, I just wanted to…” Subomi trailed off. She threw a death glare at Shayo who moved further away from her.

“Thank you so much ma, I wish you the same too.” Susan laughed gently.

“Amen, amen. So, how are you going to come into the picture now? We have brought Shayo home since we couldn’t afford the hospital bill.” She glanced at Shope. “You can leave.”

Shope nodded courteously and went back up the stairs.

“My son is a surgeon, and he is coming into the country really soon. We have a home hospital that is registered under the government but we haven’t opened for treatment yet. Shayo will be our first patient.”

“Oh…” Subomi nodded her head “So, your son will be the one treating my daughter?”

“Yes, he is a professional and highly sought surgeon. He will do his best to help her.”

“That is amazing, you don’t know how happy I am. When do we start?”

“As soon as possible.” Susan shrugged.

“O ti e ti da.” Subomi rose up and adjusted her wrapper on her waist. “Shope! Wake your sister up, we are going to the hospital.”

Susan chuckled at Subomi’s funny behavior.
“Shebi we can move now?”

“Yes, we can. Let me call the ambulance to come pick her.”

“Perfecto!” Subomi clapped.

“But, she will have to be admitted for a while ma, until she is totally recovered.”

“No problem! In fact, I’m going to pack her load right away, she’s moving to your house. She’s all yours.” Subomi made her way to the stairs. “Give me one minute to pack her things.”

“Alright.” Susan responded.

“Moshopeoluwa!!”
