twelve.

"I'll see you soon!" (Y/n) said as she waved her parents goodbye one last time, exchanging hugs and other forms of affection despite the bus arriving about five minutes prior—they had spent fifteen minutes before the bus arrived to pick up the young student saying goodbye and stuff.

"We'll be waiting!" her mother said as she and her father waved, watching as she got onto the bus.

(Y/n) shivered slightly, rubbing her upper arms as her legs were slightly cold. Since the drop in temperature about a month or two prior, she had switched from her usual socks and skirt to leggings underneath her skirt—similar to what Uraraka had been doing since the beginning of the year. She walked onto the bus, greeting some of her other classmates before sitting down in one of the empty seats, leaning against the window as the bus began to move along the still snowy terrain.

Kirishima, who had been on the bus longer than she had, turned around in his seat as he sat in front of her. "I got a call from Fat Gum yesterday regarding work-studies," he stated, leaning his chin against his arms as she pulled her bag off and set it on the ground between her legs.

"Oh yeah? What'd he say?" she asked, avoiding eye contact as she rummaged through her bag to check for her stuff. "Anything new at his agency?"

I bet Fat Gum told Kiri that I wouldn't be going to his agency this next round, especially since he basically kicked me out to go to Endeavor's agency, she thought as she zipped her bag back up, leaning against the seat. I wonder how upset Kiri is going to be...

"It's so awesome that you're able to do a work-study with Endeavor!" he exclaimed grabbing the back of the seat and leaning towards her. "I'm sad that we won't be fighting together, but you're going to work with the Number One Hero! That's incredible."

Not exactly what I was expecting, but I'll take it. (Y/n) broke out into a smile, relieved with his response to the new information.

"Thanks, Kiri," she said leaning back against her seat. "I was worried you'd be upset with me, especially since I didn't really get the chance to tell you about it before I got transferred over."

"It's fine, I get it," he assured her with a smile, turning back around in his seat as the bus stopped again—(Y/n) quickly peeking out the window to see that Midoriya was getting on the bus next.

Happy New Year to us.

"You're going to Endeavor?" All Might questioned as (Y/n), Midoriya, and Bakugo sat across from him ((Y/n) in the center for obvious reasons). "All four of you? That's great! Be sure to learn all you can."

As All Might and Midoriya discussed Blackwhip and his One For All training, (Y/n) messed with the end of her skirt and ran a few thoughts through her head, I'm still shaken up that Riki is actually my Great Uncle Shigeo. I wonder if he knew or even remembers that I'm his great niece. It's possible he forgot after he died, or maybe he avoided the subject cause he knew that I'd question him more about it.

Bakugo looked at (Y/n) through the corner of his eye, still maintaining his position as he leaned against the couch arm. He saw the obvious confusion and concern through her expression, looking away before she could notice his stare.

She was snapped away from her thoughts when the blonde exclaimed, "I'd let 'em all out, like bam!"

"I bet you would," Midoriya agreed with a slight nod.

"This is great timing for you too, Bakugo, kid," All Might added. "You and Endeavor are a lot alike. And I think seeming as he is now will do you a world of good. And (L/n)," he turned back to the (h/c)-haired girl, "working with a power-type like Endeavor will allow you to advance your quirk more than you already have—even allowing you to become more powerful than you already are."

She chuckled nervously at the statement, rubbing the back of her neck as she responded, "I'm not sure if I even can get more powerful. My quirk is already extremely advanced and using certain aspects causes my hands to appear as if I just murdered someone. But..." She looked down at the scars on her hands, clenching her fists as she looked back up to All Might. "But I'm willing to try."

All Might smiled, clenching his fist as he exclaimed, "If you three hope to become top heroes, you can't afford to pass up this chance!"

"Welcome," Endeavor said as the four students walked out of the train station, wearing their uniforms as they carried their cases which contained their hero costumes. "I'm Endeavor."

Wow... He seems much scarier on TV, (Y/n) thought as she stood next to Bakugo, readjusting her grip on her case.

Before the trio of boys and (Y/n) could say anything in response, Endeavor's warm smile dropped to a scowl as he hissed at them, "Is that the warm reception you were hoping for?"

That seems more like him...

"I ain't thrilled about taking you two on. This is only cause Shoto asked!!" he exclaimed, gesturing to Midoriya and Bakugo. "I was hoping it'd just be him and (L/n)!"

Both flattering and insulting. Nice.

"You already accepted them, so stop complaining," Todoroki calmly shot back, almost visibly shaking Endeavor with the response.

"Sh-Shoto!!"

(Y/n) turned towards Bakugo, waiting to see his response to the rather rude greeting. She wasn't too surprised with what came out of his mouth next...

"Ever since our training course, I've been thinking... You're a jerk."

"Are you really friends with this kid, Shoto?!"

"Whatever," Bakugo clicked his tongue, the words sliding right out of his mouth. "I'll put up with anything if it means seeing how the top dude operates."

"I told you to choose your friends wisely!"

Midoriya then chimed in, changing the rather hostile atmosphere even if it's just slightly, "Thank you for accepting us."

(Y/n) looked between Endeavor and Midoriya, her eyes slightly widened as she was shocked with the interactions between her classmates and the Pro. I... I don't even know what to think right now...

Before Endeavor turned around to begin their walk back to the agency, he turned towards (Y/n)—the one person who hadn't said a single word throughout the entire encounter. "(L/n), your mentor stated that you have had some weird things going on with your quirk—at least a bit since the Shie Hassaikai raid." He narrowed his eyes before continuing, "While I prefer Shoto to be able to take down opponents like you, I'd rather you not pull some weird crap. Understand?"

She nodded once, swallowing the lump in her throat before responding, "Yes, sir!"

With that, he turned around and began to walk away from the station, leading the four towards his agency or whatever destination he wanted to go to. As Midoriya and Endeavor spoke briefly on the walk, (Y/n) let out a sigh and looked down at the ground.

Bakugo looked towards her, furrowing his brows as he noticed her expression—a similar expression to when he, Midoriya, and her were with All Might discussing the work-study. He opened his mouth to speak, stopping when he realized that Endeavor had leaped over one of the fences, stating as flames came out around his face, "Sorry, but I don't give a crap about anyone but Shoto."

Loud sounds of banging and screaming came from a nearby area, Endeavor further yelling, "You wanna learn? Stand back and watch!"

(Y/n), along with the other three, quickly opened her case and pulled out her gloves and goggles. She slipped her gloves on quickly, pulling on the strap as she let her goggles hang loosely around her neck.

"Tell us what we can do!"

Endeavor noticed the four getting on quick attire for the sudden attack, yelling at them once more, "I told you stand back! And watch!"
