It's the lunch time... Swara goes to meet the professor and Sanskaar reaches their usual table in the cafeteria...

Sanskaar: Hey guys...!! Guess what happened...!!

Laksh: What...?!!

Ragini: (smiles and rests her chin on her right palm) Swara asked you out on Sunday...!!

Sanskaar: How... How did you know...?!!

Laksh: What...?!! Seriously...?!!

Sanskaar: Yes Lucky...!! And...

Ragini: And she wants to take you somewhere...!!

Sanskaar: You know this also...?!! (Ragini smiles looking at him) Then you must be knowing this also that...

Ragini: That she wants to tell you something...!!

Sanskaar: Wow great...!! My date... that too with the girl I like and you know everything before me...!! No wonder if you know what she wants to tell me...!!

Ragini: (smiling mischievously) Of course I know...!! After all I'm her best friend...!!

Sanskaar: Really...?!?! You know what is it...?!!

Just then Swara comes over there...

She looks at Ragini and she smiles in assurance...

Ragini: Nothing important...!! We were just talking...!!

Swara: (smiles naughtily) Then let's talk about something important...!!

Sanskaar: What...??

Swara: Their date...!!

Sanskaar: Yeah right...!!

Laksh: What...?!! No...!!

Sanskaar: Come on Lucky, we haven't helped you for nothing...!!

Swara: So, are you both together now...?!!

Laksh: (making a sulking face) No...!!

Sanskaar: Why...?!?!

Laksh: She hasn't accepted yet...!!

Swara: (smacking the back of Ragini's head) Why did you do that...?!!

Ragini: Umm... I just wanted to do it the right way...!!

Sanskaar: What right way...?!!

Ragini: (blushing slightly) I always wanted to propose the guy I love...!! But Laksh proposed yesterday ruining my plan...!! So, I was planning to propose him in a few days...!!

Laksh: (smiling widely) Seriously...!!

Swara: Aww...!! You both are so cute together...!!

Laksh and Ragini blush looking at each other...

Sanskaar: Lucky...!! I never knew your boyfriend blushes...!!

Ragini immediately punches his arm...

Ragini: I'm not a boy Sanskaar...!!

Swara: Now, will you both stop that...!! Finish the lunch first as we have to attend the class also...!!

At night, Swara is sleeping in her room when her phone buzzes on receiving a new message...

She smiles looking at the message remembering how Sanskaar invented this new nickname at the mall...

(Swa) NOTHING BOSS MAHESHWARI...!! I GUESS IT'S TIME TO SLEEP...!! 😴😴

As soon as she sends the message, her phone buzzes again immediately...

She keeps her mobile near her pillow and dozes off with a smile on her face...

Next day, Swara's sleep gets broken due to some hush and rush sound from outside her room...

She goes to the main hall and finds everyone running from here to there... All she could guess is that Durga Prasad and Annapurna are going somewhere...

She goes to Sujata...

Swara: Sujata Aunty...!!

Sujata stops her work and turns around giving a faded smile to her...

Sujata: Yes Swara...?!!

Swara: What is going on...?!! Are uncle and aunty going somewhere...?!!

Sujata: Yes, they are going out due to some urgent work but you don't have to worry about that...!!

Swara: But why are they going all of a sudden...?!! I guess it wasn't planned till yesterday...!!

Sujata: No it wasn't...!! It was planned today only...!! But it's nothing much important... You can go and rest...!!

Swara: Sure...?!! I mean, I can help if you need...!!

Sujata: No need Swara... You can just go and sleep...!! Don't worry about anything...!!

Swara nods her head and even though she is slightly confused she decides to go back to her room... She is about to leave when Sanskaar comes and stands in front of her... Holding Swara's shoulder he turns her around...

Sanskaar: (to Sujata) Mom, I think we should tell her...!!

Sujata: No Sanskaar...!!

Sanskaar: But Mom, it's her right to know that...!! She is not that weak as you all think...!!

Swara: (confused) What happened...?!!

Sujata: (shouts) No Sanskaar, don't tell her...!!

Sanskaar: But Mom...

Sujata: We can tell her once they return back...!!

Swara: Sanskaar...!! I'm getting scared now... What happened...?!!

Sanskaar turns her around and makes her face him... He cups her cheeks and gives a slight smile...

Sanskaar: You don't have to be scared of anything...!! Just know one thing whatever happens, I'll always be there by your side...!!

Swara: Sanskaar, you're freaking me out...!! Please tell me what happened...!!

Sanskaar: (takes a deep breath) It's your Mom...!! She has got an asthma attack and...

Swara: And...?!! And what Sanskaar...?!!

Sanskaar: (closes his eyes) And is a bit serious...!! The doctors from there have referred her to Mumbai or Delhi...!! So, Maa and Bade Papa are going to bring her here...!!

Swara: Maa...!! How can this happen to her...?!! No nothing can happen to her...!! She's in Punjab and is perfectly fine...!! She... She is fine...!! Right...?!! Nothing can happen to her...!! Maa...

Sanskaar hugs her immediately stroking the back of her head...

Sanskaar: Shhh... It's fine...!! Nothing will happen to her...!! We are there for her...!! Bade Papa has got the team of best doctors...!!

Swara: She'll be fine, right...?!!

Sanskaar: (tightening the hug) Yes...!!

Swara: (starts crying) She has to be okay...!! We have lost Papa, now we can't lose her...!!

Sanskaar: Swara, stop crying please...!! You have to be strong for Yash...!! If he'll see you crying, he'll ask questions and we can't tell him that right now...!! Right...?!!

Swara nods her head against his chest and breaks the hug...

Sanskaar: (wipes off her tears) Good...!! Now, stop crying...!!

Sujata comes there and kisses Swara's forehead...

Sujata: Don't worry...!! Your Maa is a fighter...!! She'll be fine...!!

Swara: When is she coming here...?!!

Sanskaar: By late evening today...!! Bade Papa is taking his chartered plane so they will be here by the evening or maximum by night...!! Till then we don't have to tell anything to Yash...!!

Swara nods her head and Durga Prasad and Annapurna leave for the airport...

HOSPITAL

Late evening, Simmy gets admitted in the hospital... Everyone is sitting outside her room where the doctors are checking her...

After almost an hour, the doctors come out... Swara runs to them...

Swara: Doctor, how is my mother...?!!

Doctor: Even though she is a bit stable right now but we can't say anything surely before five six hours...!! She has got some viral infection along with the inflammation which has made her condition critical...!! So, we can only say something after the late night checkup...!! Some of us will be staying here only so that the checkup could be done on time...!!

Swara gets teary eyes on hearing all this...

Swara: (teary eyes) Will she be alright...?!?!

Sanskaar comes and holds her shoulders from back...

Sanskaar: Swara... She'll be alright...!! Everything will be fine...!!

Swara: Sure...?!!

Sanskaar: 110 percent...!!

Swara: Can we meet her...?!!

Doctor: She is still under the effect of anesthesia but still you can see her...!! But only two persons at once...!! And only one person can stay with the patient at night as per rules...!!

Swara: It's okay doctor, I'll stay...!!

Annapurna: No Swara...!! You'll be going home and I'll stay back here...!!

Swara: No aunty... You already are much troubled because of us...!! I don't want to bother you anymore...!!

Annapurna: Swara...!! Let me tell you that before being your mother Simmy is my best friend and it will be more helpful if an elder person stays for the night...!! Right doctor...?!!

Doctor: Yes she is right...!! It'll be better if Mrs. Maheshwari stays here...!! For now, you can go and see her while in the meantime we'll go and make the necessary arrangements for the checkup...!!

Swara nods her head sadly and the doctor leaves...

Durga Prasad: I think Swara should go inside first...!!

Annapurna: I'll go with her...!!

Durga Prasad: No, let Sanskaar go with her...!! It'll be better...!!

Annapurna: (smiles and nods her head) Sanskaar, take Swara inside...!!

Sanskaar goes inside with Swara... Inside the room, they see Simmy lying unconscious on the bed as if she's in a deep slumber...!! Swara stumbles a bit on seeing several medical instruments attached to her body but before she could fall Sanskaar holds and steadies her...

Swara sits on the chair beside the bed whereas Sanskaar stands near her... She holds Simmy's hand as a tear drop rolls down her cheeks...

Swara: (sobbing) How can you do this...?!! I asked you to come back soon but not like this...!! Open your eyes Maa...!! See... I have been a good and responsible girl all this while just like the way you asked me to...!! I didn't bother anyone...!! I took care of Yash also...!! Get up soon otherwise what will I say to Yash...!! I still haven't told him anything...!! (her sobs turn into muffled cries) Just get one thing very clear...!! You are not leaving us anytime sooner or later...!! We even have to celebrate your birthday...!! You know I even learnt to make a cake...!! Sanskaar taught me...!! Get up Maa...

She starts crying and Sanskaar hugs her again from the back sitting on the edge of the chair...

Sanskaar: Swara...!! Shh... Stop crying...!! See, even though her eyes are closed, she can still listen to you and how will she feel seeing you cry like this...!! So, stop crying...!!

Swara stops crying and wipes off her tears....

Sanskaar: (smiles) That's like my girl...!! (looks at Simmy) Don't worry about your daughter, I'll take care of her but only for today...!! I don't call you one of my favorite ladies for nothing...!! I know you are stronger than any of us so you have to take care of both your children from tomorrow onwards...!! Okay...?!!

Swara looks at him and smiles...

Sanskaar: (holds Swara's hand) Come let's go...!! She needs to rest...!!

Swara: (kisses Simmy's forehead) See you tomorrow Maa...!! Good night and get up soon...!!

Swara and Sanskaar come out of the room...

Annapurna: Swara... Sanskaar... You both will go back with Ram and Sujata...!! I'll stay back and will update you as soon as the reports come...!!

Durga Prasad: I'll come back later...!! I have a few things to discuss with the doctor...!!

Everyone nods and leaves for Maheshwari Mansion except for Annapurna as she stays back...

SWARA'S ROOM (in Maheshwari Mansion)

Sanskaar makes Swara lie in the bed and covers her with a comforter...

Sanskaar: You just stay here, I'll bring your dinner...!!

Swara: No Sanskaar...!! I'm not feeling hungry...!!

Sanskaar: No, I'm not listening to anything...!! You haven't eaten anything the whole day...!!

Swara: But, really I'm not hungry...!!

Sanskaar: (sits on the chair folding his arms across his chest) Alright if you are not eating anything then I'm also not eating...!! Then don't say anything when you are accused of murder...!!

Swara: Murder...?!!

Sanskaar: Yeah...!! When I'll not eat, then the mice in my stomach will start running here and there... Then they will get tired but they won't stop as I won't be eating anything...!! So, they'll keep on running and running and running, and ultimately they'll die...!! So, if you don't want to murder the innocent mice of my stomach then please eat something...!! Ab bachche ki jaan logi kya...?!!

Swara: God Sanskaar...!! Seriously you are the biggest Drama... What should I call you 'Drama King' or 'Drama Queen'...?!!

Sanskaar: Umm... I think King will suit better...!! So, are you going to eat now...?!!

Swara nods her head... Sanskaar gets up to get the food when Swara calls him again...

Swara: Sanskaar, can you please check on Yash once...?!!

Sanskaar: (smiles) As you say Your Highness...!!

After sometimes, Sanskaar returns with two plates in his hand...

Sanskaar: (gives one plate to Swara) Here you go...!!

Swara: Yash...?!?!

Sanskaar: He is with Lucky in his room...!! I saw them from far, I guess they were playing something...!! Now, no more questions... Finish your dinner first before it gets cold...!!

Both of them have their dinner...

Sanskaar gets up to go back to his room when Swara holds his hand...

Swara: Where are you going...?!!

Sanskaar: My room...!! I'll tell you if I get to hear anything from the hospital...!!

Swara: Thanks...!! Umm... Can I ask you for something...?!!

Sanskaar: What is it...?!! You know you don't have to think twice before asking me for anything...!!

Swara: (avoiding eye contact) I... I... don't...

Sanskaar: (cups her cheeks) What happened...??

Swara: (twisting her fingers) Can you stay here for the night...?!?! I don't want to be alone...!! I could have asked Uttara Di but it's quite late and...

Sanskaar takes a deep breath and without thinking twice he throws off his jacket and shoes, and slips inside the comforter pulling Swara close to him... She rests her head on his chest and closes her eyes as he switches off the light...

After a few moments...

Swara: (whispers) Sanskaar...?!!

Sanskaar: Hmm...!!

Swara: Are you asleep...?!!

Sanskaar: What do you think...?!?!

Swara: Maa will be fine, right...?!?!

Sanskaar: (pulls her closer and kisses the top of her head) Yes...!!

Swara: I don't think I'll be able to live without her...!!

Sanskaar: Don't think about anything, just sleep...!!

Swara: Please don't leave me...!!

Sanskaar: (tightening his hold) Never...!!

Swara: Will you stay...?!?!

Sanskaar: Forever...!!

Swara: Thank you for being there for me...!!

Sanskaar: Always...!!

With a small smile even during their tough time, they both doze off in each other's arms...
