(Marinette's POV)

Previously...

"Marinette this is the Batcave, our place of operations, our secret haven." Dick showed me around, bouncing with excitement. "This is the Batcomputer, this is where we keep our suits, this is a giant dinosaur." He wouldn't stop bouncing with excitement as he dragged me around showing me everything in the cave. He calmed down a bit when he asked me a question. "By the way, how are you feeling?" He asked me. *I'm alright, so, I'm assuming you guys know about us being superheroes.* I told him. "Yeah, your friends told us. They wanted to help out with finding you. It's cool that you're a hero as well, at least now we know you can take care of yourself. Also, less secrets for us to hide from you. It would have been hard to keep it from you. I'm also glad Jason and Damian have taken a liking to you. They don't usually get along well with their siblings." He finished showing me around and we joined the others again, I slouched in relief.

I looked at Dad. *Is he always this energetic and excited?* He smiled. "Not all the time, but he has his moments. So, most of the time." He told me. I sweat dropped. I could tell things were going to be more interesting from now on. I walked over to Adrien and hugged him. He returned the hug. "You had me worried, M'lady." Adrien told me. "I thought I would never get to see you again." I felt bad for not trying harder to get out of there. "Don't feel bad, it wasn't your fault, it was that nasty clown's doing." We then parted because we heard the sound of some more vehicles entering the Batcave. They exited their vehicles and I noticed it was three girls and one guy. They walked over to the boys and greeted them.

Then Dick introduced them to us. "Marinette, this is Barbara Gordon. She is the daughter of commissioner Gordon and former Batgirl. She's also my fiancé." He introduced the red headed girl. "This is Stephanie Brown, former Robin and currently Spoiler." He pointed to the blonde headed girl. Then proceeded to introduce the other two. "This is Duke Thomas, also known as The Signal." He introduced the dark skinned guy. There was only one left. She looked awfully familiar, but I couldn't tell why exactly. Then it hit me, I knew why she was so familiar. "This is Black Bat, but her real name is-

*Lady Cassandra?*

Present...

Everyone was shocked, they were trying to figure out how I knew who she was. I figured I should probably explain it, no matter how much I didn't want to. *It's a long story.* I told them. They all looked like they wanted me to tell them how I knew her, even Adrien looked interested in finding out. Well, Bruce looked like he knew part of the story but wanted to find out more. I began the story of most of my life.

*I was born in the League of Assassins, my mother is Talia Al Ghul. When Ra's found out about my birth he was not pleased, he wanted Talía to get rid of me immediately. He saw me as useless, the only heir he would accept was a boy. Talia was ordered to get rid of me, but she couldn't do it, so she kept me in secret. That was until the age of two. It was getting increasingly hard for her to keep me a secret, so she figured I would be better off with my father, that I would be safer. So she left me with Bruce after she explained everything to him. I stayed with him for about a year. One night assassins raided the manor looking to kill me. That was Talia rethought her decision. She decided to take me somewhere else where I could live in secret, with a different family and last name. She entrusted me into the care of the Dupain-Cheng's.

As I grew up with the Dupain-Cheng's in Paris, Talia would visit me every so often, only when she was sure it was safe. She taught me to fight, simply for self-defence. When I became Ladybug, the fighting lessons became all the more necessary. So she started to bring in help. She started to bring Lady Cassandra to help teach me to fight. Those fighting lessons were the main thing keeping me alive. When the Miraculous cure stopped taking effect on me, I had to rely on the fighting lessons. I continued to live with the Dupain-Cheng's, at least until they disowned me.

When Talia found out about them disowning me, she was furious, the two people she had entrusted the care of her daughter had abandoned her. However when I told her about my honorary uncle and aunt taking me in, she calmed down a bit. She was satisfied that I at least had someone trustworthy taking care of me. She was however particularly unhappy about my school situation. She couldn't quite fathom how so many people could be so oblivious to obvious lies. Like saving Jagged Stone's cat from an airplane. There are two main reasons why that lie makes no sense, one, Jagged Stone never had a cat, two, saving something from an airplane would most likely make you permanently deaf or burst your eardrums, or even kill you, not just give you tinnitus. She also couldn't understand how I had been expelled before based on lies of me pushing someone down the stairs and taking their necklace, when their was obvious evidence that I didn't and they would have known, had they actually checked security camera footage.

Most of the class turned against me because of lies. The lies have accused me of bullying classmates, when in reality it is the opposite. Being Ladybug got more challenging with the new Akumas. Also, being labelled as the new Guardian of the Miraculous created even more of a target on my back as Ladybug. Hawkmoth wants all of the miraculous and I have to be extra careful as to not let him get the miraculous. Talia had to stop visiting me so as to not arouse suspicion to either Hawkmoth or the League of Assassins. But she continued to occasionally check on me from afar. With Talia not training me anymore, I stopped seeing Lady Cassandra.

When I found out about the class competition to win a trip to Gotham, I took the opportunity to enter the competition. My class won the competition, we came here. The end.* I told them all. They were caught between shock, sadness and anger. It was honestly kind of strange seeing them with emotions written clearly all over their faces. They were all lost for words, no one knew what to say. I didn't really mind as I didn't know what to say as well. It was silent for a few minutes, it was alright at first but then it became awkward.

* So... how long have you guys been vigilantes for?* I asked them. They all agreed to the change in topic. Then Dick spoke up. "Bruce became Batman first, then when he took us all in we became vigilantes. For most of us we were 10-12 years old. Soooo... we've been vigilantes for a while. How long have you been Ladybug?" He asked me. *Pretty much since I was like 13 or 14.* I told them. After that we all sat in awkward silence.

The silence was interrupted by an Akuma alarm. *I have to go deal with this.* I told them, though in my head I was thinking, there has never been a better time for an Akuma. Adrien and I transformed into our hero costumes, and I used the horse miraculous to teleport to Paris. We bid the others goodbye before we left. When we arrived in Paris everything was flooded. ^Argghhh, Syren agaaaainnnnn.^ I really hated fighting her, because she was annoying to fight. We had to transform into our water transformations to fight her. All I could think about was how much of an inconvenience it is to fight her.

*Let's get this over with.* Chat Noir and I then transformed into our water transformations. This could either take a while or a few minutes. We swam up to Syren to get her attention. The second she saw us, she became angrier and started trying to get our miraculous'. We all became engaged in a fight to save Paris yet again. The news helicopter flew high above us recording us fighting. Syren was randomly throwing hits left and right. Chat Noir and I however had a system, dodge and attack. Syren only became angrier at the fact she was losing. She became more aggressive, she put more power into her punches, so every time she missed she would almost go flying. She was uncoordinated and it showed. However, luckily for her, not so much me, she managed to land a pretty solid punch on my stomach. ^That's for sure going to bruise later.^ I would eventually come to realise just how right i was.

We continued to exchange hits. Chat Noir and I still had the upper hand. After a few more minutes of exchanging hits, I got Chat Noir to distract her so I could call on my Lucky Charm. when I got the Lucky Charm, I formulated a plan to use it. After putting the plan into action, we managed to defeat Syren. I used the miraculous cure and fixed everything. ^Thank goodness it wasn't too hard to defeat her. I really didn't want to fight her today. I can feel that hit is starting to bruise. I'll check it later.^ After explaining to Ondine what happened, Chat Noir and I used the horse miraculous to get back to the Wayne manor in Gotham.

When we got back, we saw everyone hovering around Max, who had his phone out and was watching the live news broadcast of the Akuma attack. So they watched the whole fight. They looked up when they saw the bright light of us de-transforming. I handed the horse miraculous back to Max and nodded to thank him. I moved back over to where I was standing. My brothers looked kind of concerned. "Are you ok Marinette?" Dad asked me. *Yeah, I'm ok. Probably going to have a few bruises though. I'll check it later.* Everyone seemed to look a bit less concerned now.

*What should we do now?* I asked them all. They looked at each other and shrugged. "We could watch a movie or play games." Tim said. "Why don't we do both." Adrien stated. We all agreed. Just like that the rest of the day was spent with rage quitting, food fights, disagreements about favourite characters, and overall having fun but wanting to attack each other at the same time. Needless to say, I wouldn't want to have it any other way.

Why is this story so popular? I don't understand how you all enjoy reading it. I for the first time in writing this story, actually kinda re-read it to make sure it was okay. Yayyyyyyy, I finally finished this chapter.
