Prologue

NoOne's pov

Time flies as a sea with no end and destination making people undergo hundreds and thousands of events in their lives.

Nandini's life has also been the same. Living almost 22 years of life being an orphan, she now possess a family to called as hers. If having Harsh as her better-half was not enough for her, the eternal presence of his parents made her feel as if she is on cloud 9.

The beautiful angel she was blessed with some 11 months ago has transformed her life upside down.

But having the angel comes with a lots of responsiblities on her but unlike earlier times when she had to bore the burden of all the responsibilities of her life whether willingly or not, now she has Harsh by her side and the responsibilities now seems like pleasure to her.

"I am here in the drawing room," Harsh said louder enough for Nandini to hear.

She reached the room in a minute to two, carrying the little doll in her hands.

"Here you are! Now keep her with you and I am leaving, will be back till 3 in the afternoon," she said approaching Harsh who was lying on the sofa reading newspaper.

"This is not fair. It's sunday today, Nandu. Why are you going? You are the owner and hence can skip going to cafe without being answerable to anyone," Harsh said hopefully.

She came near him and chipped," We have got two orders for birthday parties and being the owner its my duty to complete them on time."

Harsh knew she won't agree after all she had always been workoholic and hence he gave in as he had something else goibg on his mind.

"Nandini..." Harsh was about to start the same topic which he had raised last night but Nandini was too fast to guess it and having no mood to fight stated her stand clearly.

"Don't ask me again. My answer will be the same and that is 'I don't want him to come!' I hope that is clear now," Nandini said as settled down near Harsh holding 'Adhira' but the moment she sat, dadda's angel jumped to reach Harsh and he too held her placing her on his lap.

"Oh God! Just look at her, she just dumped me the moment she saw you," Nandini said making a pout.

Harsh touched Adhira's tiny hands and spoke with bit of seriousness, " Why can't Manik come Nandini? He too has the right and no matter whatever he did to us but there is no doubt that he loves Adhira as much as you and I do."

She looked at Harsh but lacked words knowing the fact that his words were true enough to be argued upon.

Harsh said further," Nandini, I know you still don't like Manik and I understand. I will never force you to be friends with him but please don't impose your anger and hatred for him to damage the relation between him and Adhira."

Hearing him silently she smiled  faintly as her face admired his face and quipped," How can you be so perfect all the damn time? Can't you behave like a bit selfish person?"

Harsh laughed saying," Who said I am not selfish? I am!

But then I already have you and my baby with me and rest is never on my mind."

Nandini raised her brow questioning," Dont you think you are becoming very dominating nowadays, especially when it comes to making decisions for Adhira?"

"Oh really! I never felt so?" he played along. "If you could give me any proof?" he questioned.

"Ofcourse I can.  For example, how many times I told her that lets keep her name 'Pehel' but you were so sure to just keep it Adhira and then you are accuse me of not giving you rights!" Nandini chipped showing her layered anger.

Harsh kissed Adhira as he saw her laughing with no reason.

"Nandini let me tell you that Pehel looks so boring and old-fashioned! And Adhira is  so refreshing. Isn't it Adhira?" he said turning Adhira towards him while the baby just smiled looking at her father.

"What do you mean to say? Do you think I am old-fashioned?" Nandini asked raising her brows to which Harsh just winked before saying," Yes, my love you are but what can I do this heart of mine got stuck in your world and I can't even get it back!"

His words made Nandini's anger melt in a jiffy as her cheeks redden making her blush.

"Ohh! Someone is busy blushing," he quipped smirking.

"Shut up Harsh," she said as she stood up and reached the door to leave but turned to chip, "Harsh..."

"Yup"

"Do have you lunch and make Adhira have her milk kept in fridge."

"Ok my lady," Harsh said.

"And one more thing," She said a naughty grin on her face.

"And whats that?"

"I won't let your heart escape my world not even for a second! So that means you have no chance of getting out of it," she said making Harsh pleasantly surprised at her comment before leaving the place.
