}Chapter 21 (Republished){

Third person POV.

Earlier under the attack of the sky people, Aonung was left unconscious along with Rotxo leaving an injured Lu'a to bring them back to their village where he finally knocked out. As he woke, he was greeted by a familiar celling wall. His initial reaction was to go in to a defensive stance but his body was drenched in pain so he remained laying down and just looked around instead.

To his relief he noticed the state of things, noticing the stillness and the sound of people rushing in worry and voices speaking he sighed in relief as he heard that everything was settled. Amongst the voices he heard something that rocked his core instantly looked around his pod when he noticed Aonung beside him.

Motionless, he laid except the movements of his steady breathing. Aonung hasn't moved an inch from his side and he was holding Lu'a's hand firmly. Lu'a who is now bed ridden due to sustaining injures from earlier tried to move but it inflicted him pain so is stayed as he was. He witnessed his brothers whines, expression shifting, his brows would frown, his eyes curved at what could be pain or sadness and the tears the fell slowly,

"Aonung~," he called out yet his voice was hoarse and small but that didn't stop him as he tried again and again,

"Aonung~ Aonung~ small brother look here," a tear started to slip from his eyes, to outsiders the lone teal Na'vi might just be sleeping but for Lu'a he could see the heaviness and severity of how low his brother is in right now.

As Lu'a was trying to reach out to his brother, Tahti came into his pod from the back opening and saw the struggling elder he rushed to his side,

"What is it, Lu'a?" the said elder brother looked at him surprised in in question. The look of a concerned Tahti confused Lu'a for a moment but his mind came back to him,

"Aonung isn't waking up," Tahti complied and looked at the idle Na'vi, "Aonung!" he yelled shocking the teal Na'vi and his brother was angered.

Lu'as hand slapped Tahti, "I told you to call him not yell at him, fool," said Lu'a as he also clearing his sore throat and also ignoring the pain that sprang from his arm.  Aonung woke up abruptly his eyes red and wide, he looked around him as if he wanted to confirm something than he managed to get a grip of where he was. He looked at Lu'a ,

"Brother you're awake," he spoke in a weaken yet soft voice. Lu'a now looking at him awake it was horrible.

"Help me sit up," Aonung wasted no time and helped him up with Tahti then Lu'a asked Tahti to give him and his brother some space. Tahti sensed something was in the air with the plea and he left saying he'll be near by. Aonung moved closer to his brother and sat by his side then he leaned in with his forehead and Lu'a inclined his forehead forward to meet Aonungs forehead. As it touched they shared their feelings relief of surviving, worry, pain, fear and overall every emotion present.

Yet, Lu'a could sense Aonung holding his emotions back,

"My brother, I know," saying this Aonung moved his head away and it was written on his guarded face, which was faltering by the look Lu'a was giving him.

"Let it out, it is ok to cry here. Don't hold it in, it will hurt more trust me i know," he whispered eyes closed choking slightly as he spoke. That's when he heard a shaking breath release followed by muffled cries. Lu'a felt himself cry to the painful cries and Aonungs head fell to his shoulder, Lu'as hand moved to rub his head in counsel.

Some time have past when they finally settled into a more peaceful manner, Aonung was now laying on Lu'as lap with Lu'a smoothing his hair. Lu'a felt the slight untidiness of his hair and offered to tidy it,

"Should i re-braid your hair?" he asked, Aonung nodded on his lap, "Ok, sit down properly," he ushered.

Aonung sat obediently in front of Lu'a then the elder brother worked on his hair, as his hands worked on he hummed to a comforting song. Again, Aonung was touched as heard the song and tears flowed freely but he smiled melancholy and started to sing to the hums. Lu'a smiled while plating his brothers hair. Tahti stood by the pods opening hidden from view as he didn't want to disrupt such sacred moment.

(This is the song they hummed to, just imagine this version of the song was in Na'vi and all.)

Lu'a finally reaching the end of the braid, smiled at his work and his hand settled on Aonungs head as he wanted to feel there were loose ends. Satisfied with everything he kissed Aonungs head,

"Nung, look at me short Shxawng i wanna ask you something," he joked which made Aonung chuckle as he faced his older brother. Lu'a sat on the ground despite the pain he kept the warm smile on his face, he held his brothers hands,

"My dear tsmukan (brother) have you seen him? (Lu'a inhaled deeply before continuing)  Have you seen his body?" he asked as his voice slightly shaking to wards the end. Aonungs face flashed of pain and he looked away from his brother as he felt overwhelming emotions at thought of him. A few moments after the silence Aonung spoke up,

"I, I only saw glimpse of his body. I couldn- (his voice cracks) I couldn't bring myself to be there, it was too hard," he replied weeping. Lu'a teared up but he held it in,

"Tsmukan you have to go to him and see him, and you also have to come clean of your relationship with him. This has to be done for you, him and our families," Aonung looked at his brother in fear, sadness and pain. Lu'a understood his look and nodded his head once as if to say that this is the only thing to do,

"This is something that has to be done my  tsmukan (Aonung looks away) look at me, it has to be done," said Lu'a.

"Tsmukan, I can't tell them about him and I," replied Aonung.

"Why? is it because you don't have your Iknimaya done? huh? Tsmukan it is all fine that won't be an issue if they they find a problem in that I'll be here you, but at least give heart to him and his family please," Aonung shook his head reluctant to give in,

"You do not understand," "Aonung-" "No! you don't understand!"

Lu'a feeling there more behind this he didn't retort to his brothers frustration and anger yet remained calm,

"Ok, alright than tell me what do i not understand. Hm?" Lu'a tugged the younger brothers hand and waited patiently.

"He and I promised to tell them together after I get through the Iknimaya. Together! Tsmukan, Together! Now he is no more, how can i just say it! how can i just go up to them and tell them this 'Hey Sullie family oh Your son and I were courting each other we were planning to be mates please give us your blessing. Oh wait he's gone now guess I'm single again!' ha!" Aonung vented to his brother Lu'a just sat with a straight face. As Aonung finished Lu'a sat in silence and just stared at him, no look of judgment, no look of pity just a look of someone patiently waiting. Aonung didn't feel comfortable by his brothers action, well more confused than uncomfortable,

"Well? Tsmukan say something," confronted Aonung.

Lu'a held his brothers hands tightly with a deep breath he replied, " I understand your pain-" Aonungs face looked hurt by these words and Lu'a smiled softly at him.

His hand went to caress Aonungs face, "Tsmukan, i understand your pain, well it might be a bit different but i do understand the pain of losing a loved one. You know me and my past, i lost my mother and father in war. (Lu'a sadly smiles at Aonung ) I was in pain, I was angry, lost and alone. I feel you, i understand you. I know you have your promise but my Tsmukan right now, you have to come clean despite you two not being mates, you have bonded with him emotional and by spirit yet no completely it is still a bond and you also know of a ritual done for mates or mates-to-be if they passed, that has to be done for you and him. Honor him, love him, he is with the great mother now and you have to do the ritual for you and him. You'll meet again and when you do, you tell him about revealing everything and knowing Neteyam he will understand," Aonung looked at his brother crying.

"I know the pain is great and you'll cry a lot but you won't be alone in this. You have me, ok? You. have. me," Lu'a reassured "Now go on and walk outside for a bit and think about it and when you're done and ready come to me we'll go together, ok?" Aonung nodded and did as he was told after helping his brother to bed.

Aonungs POV.

After the sharing with my elder brother i found myself by the shore not to far from clan village, sitting and watching the tides come in and disappear at the tip of my toes. Feeling a sense of familiarity by this scene in the twilight and the stars scattered on to the dark sky. I closed my eyes to take it in, this feeling, a wave flooded my chest subtly causing my emotion to waver.

'Ma'oare, what's in going through your head, huh?' heard Aonung, he smiled bitterly at the soft voice in the winds and  tears begin to fall from his closed eyes. The sound of his voice sounded so real and close, a muffled weeping carried itself through the air,

"Net, Netey-yam, Ma'Atan," I whispered in a shaky voice as i couldn't bring myself to say his name proper. This heaviness is just to much, I opened my eyes immediately to look at him but i was just greeted with the cruel reality in the empty sea in front of me. I stood up from position and walked towards the waters till the tiny tides were splashing itself on to my waist. I freed my bunned hair and felt the ticklish sensation of my hair brushing itself on my back, i closed my eyes for a second than opened them to look at the planet and moons, and just screamed.

I screamed my heart out again and again, to the point where the sounds out that fell out of mouth weren't audible to myself. My actions aided my emotions slightly and little by little .

Third person POV.

As bizarre or how foolish Aonungs actions were, they were effective in bringing some lightness to his heavy heart. The lean Na'vi looked to the orbits in the sky with a thought in mind,

'Had anyone seen me now, oh how stupid i would look,' he though chuckling to himself.

It seemed that Aonung thoughts were gathering itself and the latter was now able to decide on the decision his brother gave him to think about when a familiar figure caught his eyes,

"Lo'ak?" he whispered in recognition, other figures emerged out of the pod by Lo'ak and it seemed like there was something amidst.

Aonung immediately called out to his Ilu and made his way to the said Na'vi in the distance. As reach the ledge he quick hopped off the Ilu and went in between the now colliding,

"EH! Eh! stop it! what's going on? Lo'ak! Mawey! Mawey!(be calm! be calm!)," The bystanders also rushed with Aonung to separate the two.

By the looks of it Lo'ak was fuming profoundly at the other, Aonung struggled to pull him form the other but he succeeded and  than took him far away from the area.

"Lo'ak! Mawey!" the latter begin to walk around to vent the adrenaline that coursed through his body. Aonung gave him some time till he felt the need to hold him still, like this Lo'ak huffed in frustration and a minute after his face broke in to a look of pain. As if rocks weighed on his joints Lo'ak fell into Aonungs hold crying which shocked him but he shifted slightly and hugged the younger.

'Be strong, be strong,' Aonung thought to himself as he didn't wanna fall into crying.
