I took down the A/N because it would be interupting the flow of the story.

"WE SWARM" The Glitch Mob

Enjoy ~

-STARK-

"Welcome," Lorena muttered. "to my living hell."

I raised an eyebrow. "Still haven't changed, I see."

She scoffed and led me through the back of the Bed Bath and Beyond, keeping away from the items. "I still remember when I got lost in here." She shuddered at the thought, combing through her fiery red hair. "Worst experience ever."

I swiftly dodged a child, carefully not to let the little one hit my legs.

I felt Lorena's eyes on me, sharp and analyzing as ever. "I see your fear isn't as dominating as before. What changed?"

Avoiding her gaze, I pulled my hands out of my pockets to open the door to the manager's office.

"Orion." I shook my head, finding a place against the wall as we waited for our guest. "I still can't get what he said out of my mind."

Lorena took a seat in the red chair, glancing up at me. "You can't let that fear control you, Stark. You have a mate now- your true mate."

I sharpened my glare. "Don't act as if you haven't commited the same crime I have,"

She sent a miffed look, crossing her arms. "I'd hardly call it a crime. Ramon and I had Iris after Kyros died. Whereas you skipped right to marriage and family before even considering the feelings that your mate would be going through." her voice had softened into the scolding, guilty one that I was all too familiar with. "Can you imagine what the poor girl is going through? Knowing that the one made for her and only her...had a wife? A child?"

I closed my eyes, wishing that Liston Bright would pick up his pace before I painted the walls of his office with Lorena's blood. "I know that, believe me I do. But back then-"

She held up her hand in a similar fashion to Katya. "I know. Back then the chances of finding your mate was near to impossible. However that doesn't mean you can just hop off the singles' train and head straight into 'Happily Wedded' town. That's not fair, to you and to Katya and Kathleen. What would've happened if you met Katya back then and she found out that you already started a life without her?"

"She understands-"

"No." Lorena sliced in. "Just because Katya says' she does, doesn't mean she accepts what you did. You lied to her."

"What was I supposed to do?" I muttered. "Tell her everything in one go? I wasn't prepared for that. She's lucky I didn't go into the gory details of what he did to my child otherwise she would be having nightmares for months- I would be having nightmares for months. I see that you're looking out for her, Lorena, but to be frank- stay out of it. This is between me and her. I'll work up to her forgiveness sooner or later. So now let's just make sure that Katya will stay alive for me to ask for her forgiveness in the first place."

~KATYA~

"When was the last time you went to a zoo?" Alric asked numbly.

"Three months ago." I replied, fixing up his bandages on his fingers.

"Did you have fun?"

I snorted, "No. A giraffee tried to eat my cotton candy."

He chuckled and jumped down from the car. "That's comforting."

"Not so much." I stashed the first-aid kit back in Ballard's Jeep, sending Alric back on the field with Donovan's hardcore training, following behind him.

Donovan was as stiff as ever, nothing like Mikhail. His hands were behind his back as he circled the tree. "Lucifer, get down here."

To my surprise, a sharp hiss was sent back.

"A cat?" Iris murmured, walking from the opposite direction of Alric and I. "On a wolf's territory? Now that's just comical."

Donovan scowled. "Lucifer, now."

I was pretty good with animals, especially cats, despite being a wolf myself. I steppef forward, slowly approaching Donovan who looked like a ripening tomato.

"Damn it, get down now."

If I was part of his pack, my body would be imprinted on the floor from the power behind his Alpha voice.

"Mind if I-"

He spun on his heel. "Forget it. Just do whatever."

Sighing, I looked up into the branches of the tree, searching for the cat. I was greeted by a soft meow coming from my right. I turned to see a tawny cat, stretching and scratching on the tree trunk. Yellow eyes bored into my own.

"Come here." I whispered, reaching my hands out, palms upward.

Lucifer seemed hesitant, his body swaying forward but then backward as if he wasn't sure of himself.

"It's okay." I said softly, taking slow and gradual steps closer as to not scare him off.

His cheek rubbed against the tree trunk, moving downward uptil the tip of his wet nose nudges my fingers. My arms were starting to ache, but I kept them firm and steady should he decide to jump down. The ache was worth the wait when Lucifer padded down onto my hands and let me sweep him into my arms before I set him down.

Slow claps were heard behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see Castor will a smile on his face. "Wow. This is a rather pleasant surprise, even more so that the cat on wolf's territory. A wolf that likes cats!"

"Oh no, it's not that I like them- I mean, I do- I just tend to get along well with other animals. Except hamsters. Hamsters hate me."

"Come on," Castor said, walking towards the Jeep. "Training is cut short. We're going somewhere." His eyes cast down to my legs. "Though I don't think you should bring your friend with you. Draver's allergic to cats."

"You know, when you said that we were going somewhere, I thought it was out of town. Not out of country."

Castor gestured for me to remove my backpack and I reluctantly slipped my arms through. "Well you thought wrong, besides Ireland isn't that far off."

Stark suddenly appeared behind me with a pair of handcuffs. I pressed myself back against the edge of one of the seats. "Whoa, there. I'm not into that kind of stuff."

He sucked in a breath. "This is going to get me slapped,"

I frowned. "What is-oh my Goddess what are you doing?"

He looped the other handcuff through the handle of the compartments above our seats then forced my hand up to to handcuff it as well, taking his place in a spot that would've been mine.

"Why did you handcuff me?" I hissed, yanking my hands against the cuffs.

"Because we're not going to Ireland."

I froze. "What?"

Castor gave me an apologetic shrug. "Sorry. I meant to say Sicily, not Ireland."

I let my head fall back in disbelief as I chuckled. "Unbelievable. Its like you all have affinities for lying."

I was wrong to change my view on them even for a second. Lycans were nothing but monsters that took advantage of their powers. How in the hell did they ever get chosen by the Moon Goddess?

"So why exactly are we going to Sicily of all places?" I gritted my teeth as the plane took off.

Stark flipped open the flight menu scanning over it briefly. "Oh. Pringles."

He didn't give any further indication that he was going to answer me so I scanned the area of the cabin we were in. I swallowed when I realized that there was absolutely no one on the plane except for us and perhaps the pilot. No sound of faint chatter now that I honed in my hearing senses to the best of my ability, no little kids screaming.

"Stark." I said slowly. "Are we the only ones headed to Sicily?"

"Yes." he replied, placing the menu in the center seat. "Save the pilot, that is."

"How? I mean the flight can't be that bare."

"Did I ever mention how rich Lorena and Iris are?" he slipped in. "Though I think that's a given considering she lives in a penthouse."

I pressed my face against my arm, pushing back stray strands of hair. "How long am I supposed to be handcuffed for?"

He checked the time on the screen embedded into the seat in front of him, the same one I was leaning my hip against. His silver eyes flickered up to flight attendant area before lingering on mine. "The entirety of the flight, as long as everything goes smoothly."

"What?" I hissed. "That's well over three hours! You can't expect me to dangle here this whole time."

He stood up, narrowing his eyes on me. "Well I do expect you to do so. Cease this complaining. I know that moment that I let you free of those handcuffs that you'll grab a parachute and fling yourself out the plane."

I flinched back, sweat forming on my brow. "What makes you think that?"

"Your fear of heights." he answered. "It's written all over your face. I could smell your fear from miles away. Relax."

With that, he left me there with my only company being Iris.

"I'm sorry," she apologized, giving me a sympathetic look.

I stiffened and looked away, focusing on something other than the lies that spewed out of these Lycans' mouths. That something ended up being the cabin behind us where I could see a flight attendant pulling off her heels.

Wait.

Stark returned down the aisle just as I voiced my concern, "Hey...didn't you say that we were the only ones?"

He shoulders tensed and his eyes hovered over my head to where the flight attendant was grabbing a large number of knives- real ones. Not plastic.

"Vampires?" he muttered, taking a quick whiff. "Oh. Definitely vampires."

Vampires had no certain scent, which is probably why I couldn't sense them on the plane.

Shit.

"How did they get on the plane?!" I exclaimed.

Everyone stood on end at the word, looking back at the flight attentdant. But I was looking the opposite direction were more flight attendants- both male and female- were pouring down the aisle.

Double shit.

"Alric, get on the other side of the aisle." Stark began, shifting his stance as they approached. "Lorena and Iris- take the cabins in front of us to lessen the load. Draver and Jazz- you get all the cabins behind us. Castor, go check on the pilot."

"There's just one problem..." Draver growled. "We can't exactly use our affinities here. Too tight of a space, we could end up killing each other. And we can't shift either."

"Damn it," he swore, looking at me briefly before casting his gaze to Lorena. "You're the strategic one here- come up with a plan, already!"

My eyed widened and I pulled my leg up to nail the low-class vampire right under her jaw. "How about this; Step 1 is to take care of the bloodsuckers that are here!"

Iris grimaced. "So much for not getting my dress dirty."

"It was ugly anyways." Lorena put in just as the vampires reached us, pouring in like ants.

Half of them were diminished in a second, blood splattering the once pristine insides of the plane courtesy of Jazz and Draver who torn open an exit for them to head to the farther cabins. I felt something warm on my back, dripping slowly. I twisted around to see Lorena's pale blue blouse soaked with blood as she and Iris made their way to the cockpit with Castor.

"That leaves just us." Alric muttered just before he caught a rushing vampire girl in his arms, bending her over his knee in an angle that made me flinch back.

Stark had lunged forward, swiftly dodging the attacks of the vampires and still able to end their lives with a sharp hit to the back of their necks. I could hear the cracking spine like a thunder clap on a silent night.

There was only one fault in their plan: the moment that Stark and Draver engaged in battle, I was left dangling with handcuffs, like raw meat on a string in front of lions.

Stark seemed to notice that as well, but it was a moment too long. One had managed to come from the opposite end of the aisle, heading straight for me with fangs dropped and red eyes boring into my own.

"Katya!" Alric shouted. "Behind you!"

I gritted my teeth and sucked up the pain as I wrapped my hands on the cuffs, letting them dig into my wrists when I pulled my weight up. I quickly stepped on the seat handle, manouvering my legs to snap around the vampire's throat. My heels slammed into the spine and the vampire crumpled to the floor. As I landed down, I made sure that the heel of my right boot slammed into her throat.

I sensed a prescence behind me but it was coming too fast for me to turn. I jumped up and kicked my legs through the gap between my arms, landing a kick square in the jaw of the vampire. The sharp and sickening crack of the dislocated jaw satisfied the worry I had over having fangs lodged into my heels. I brought my legs back down just in time to collide with a male vampire's head. The force of his head being punctured by the switf kicks caused blood to bloom on my white jeans.

"How-" Alric snapped a blond vampire's head back, "-did you do that?"

I brushed the hair out of my face with my forearm, breathing heavily. "I was fighter for my pack before I became Luna."

Stark grimaced. "I hope I won't be on the receiving end of your rage."

"You just might be if you don't take these damn handcuffs off me." I hissed. "You know I couldv'e died if I was any other wolf?"

"You're going to die now if you don't handle that fashion disaster coming up diagnol of you." Alric called out, titling his head to the direction of viscious fangs headed straight for me from the opposite aisle.

I groaned and lifted myself onto the chair handles as the vampire lunged at me across the seats from the opposite aisle. I hooked my leg around his neck, bringing him down against the screen on the back of the seats. The screen shattered, cracks filling in with crimson.

Stark walked over, curling his fist in the unruly dark brown hair of the vampire with a Hawaiian shirt and dress pants. "Mind if I do the honors?"

"Go ahead." I mutttered, lifting my hands up more through the handcuffs so that my reddened wrists could breathe.

He twisted the vampire's head off like a he was unscrewing the cap of a water bottle. Blood spurted onto my Pink Floyd shirt, some even staining my cheeks.

"Wonderful." I scowled, looking down on at my ruined clohtes before glaring at him. "Couldn't pick a less messier way to do it?"

Stark merely avoided my eyes. "I'm creative."

Jazz and Draver returned with little to no blood on their clothes. Lucky them. Jazz looked a bit winded whereas Draver was practically bouncing on his feet.

"All the guys are handled in the back- good Goddess, Katya, what happened?" Draver said incredously. "You look like you're part of a horror film."

"I feel like I'm in one. Now can someone get these damn cuffs off me?" I snapped.

Alric hopped over the aisles, pulling out the key from his pocket before wriggling it into the hole. My hands were finally free. I rubbed my raw wrists, looking around for Lorena and Iris.

Suddenly the plane's turbulence went crazy, the plane jerking down and then back up in ragged movements. I automatically latched onto Stark as I regained my balance. The plane dropped, causing me to become airborne for a solid 3 seconds.

Lorena and Iris appeared at head of the cabin with Castor on their heels.

"Bad news." Castor breathed. "I may have killed the pilot."
