❤❤Lucy's POV❤❤

It's the fourth day of the Grand Magic Games. Erza, Cana, and Laxus did awesome yesterday. Even Wendy did great. Today it's my turn.
I was just arriving at the arena. Every one else went earlier so they should be here by now. We still had like an hour before we had to be here, so I was just taking my time on a slow stroll thinking about my lost the other day and how I could do better today.
I got lost in my thoughts and didn't see where I was going. I bumped into some and fell backwards and hit my head.
"Ouch," I said getting up rubbing my head.
"Oh, I'm sorry" a male voice said. I looked up to see it was none other than Sting from Sabertooth. He offered his hand to help me up. I hesitantly took it.
"Th-thanks." I said, not letting my guard down, I had my hand near my keys in case of anything. And of course he noticed.
"You don't have to worry I'm not going to do anything. It's all just an act that some of us put up." he said sighing, then barley loud enough for me to hear he said, "one that I hate."
"So than why do you do it?" I asked. I put my hands down away from my keys. I don't get him. Why does he act a way that he doesn't like?
"This is not the place to talk, follow me. If you want." I looked at Sting when he said this.
"What about the games?"
"They start in an hour, we'll be back before that." He has a point. It won't take an hour to talk. He started walking and I followed behind him. I was very curious

time skip: 10 minutes

We arrived at an empty park. Sting double checked to make sure we were alone. Everyone must be getting ready for the games. Sting stopped at a bench and sat down, I followed after sitting on the opposite side of him. I turned my head to face him.
"So, care to explain now?" I asked with a straight, emotionless face.

💖💖 Sting's POV💖💖

I turned to look at her. Her face was emotionless, but her eyes showed concern and curiosity.
"It's our master," I started trying to figure out how to put this. "He wants everyone to be afraid of our guild."
Her face softened as I continued.
"He doesn't want us to seem like we haven't soft spot, even though most of us do but we hide it. " I looked down while talking, "I hate being mean"
"So don't be mean," I looked at her shocked, her eyes held kindness and worry for me. I've never had someone look at me like this. My heart started pounding, why?
"It's not that easy," I chocked out, "I would be kicked out of Sabertooth for being week. How does your guild do it?"
"What do you mean?" We never broke eye contact while we were talking.
"How could you guys have been so powerful yet nice? Every knew what your guild was capable of and was scared to get on your bad side. But Fairy Tail was never mean to anyone or kick anyone out just for losing. How?" She seemed shocked at first but then took a deep breath to answer my question.
"We never tried to make people scared and we never cared what people thought about us. We did what we wanted. We fight to protect our friends, no our family. Individually we might not be that strong but when we work together no one can stop us. We use our bonds and turn them into strength to protect who and what we hold dear. That's how our guild does it." She looked like she was proud of herself and her guild.
I looked past her for a second and saw the clock. Shit we only 40 minutes to get to the games and we should be at least half an hour early. I shot up, accidently scaring her.
"Sorry, but we have to get going or we'll be late." She looked at the clock behind her than got up too.
"Yeah I guess we should get going, especially since I'm participating today." She said calmly, brushing away a few strands of blond hair from her face. She actually looks really pretty. Wait a second I don't even know her name. I know she's a fairy but that's it.
"What's your name?" I ask while still walking
"My name is Lucy." She said with a big grin.
"Well, I hope I get to talk to you again Lucy." I said with a genuine smile, "but we should walk separately."
"Yeah, you're right, see you later Sting " she walked the other way while waving her hand showing off her guild mark. I smirked then kept walking. She said she was participating today so I'll pay close attention.

Time skip:end of The Naval Battle
Still Sting's POV

Minerva is brutally beating Lucy. I want to do something but I can't. I have to act the part of heartless. It's hurts to see her like this. Why?
"Stop it!" I heard Natsu yell. I just smirked to play my part.
"You guys are going to pay for this" they all said. I want to stop this but I can't, I'm really pathetic. After this I'm going to apologize to her. Hopefully she survives.
"Have you learned your lesson, or should I keep beating it in? I'm fine with that." Minerva said while beating up Lucy. "Remember this the next time you think of defining me!"
"Stop the match now, we can't lose the celestial wizard!" A man with a weird nose and beard yelled. "Call it off before it's too late!"
Is she OK? Please be OK Lucy. She'll probably be taken to the infirmary, I'll visit her when I can.

The teams had just left. I heard everything that happened. I guess one team would be more beneficial to us. I slowly sit up on the bed I was in, the only people that were here were Wendy, Charle, Porliusica, Elfman, and Evergreen. Elfman was sleeping and Evergreen was right beside him. Porliusica was mixing something and Wendy just noticed me sitting up.
"Lucy! I thought you fell asleep." Wendy stated.
"I couldn't sleep, I feel li..." I started but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Come in." Porliusica replied. The door opened half way to show Sting.
"He's from Sabertooth," Wendy said while getting into a fighting stance. "What do you want?"
"Calm down, I just want to talk to Blondie." Sting said looking uninterested in Wendy who was ready to attack.
"It's fine Wendy," I assured her. "Can you guys give me and Sting a moment please?"
"You know him?" Charle asked a little sceptical.
"Yeah, I do." I told Charle.
"Very well then, we'll be outside if you need us." Porliusica said while dragging Wendy out with Charle following them. Before they left Charle gave a glare at Sting.
"How are you feeling?" Sting asked as soon as they left.
"Thanks to Wendy and Shelia I'm OK!" I said with the biggest smile I could manage.
"I'm sorry about this." He said looking down.
"It's not your fault, our guilds are enemies. There is nothing we could do about that, this was kinda unavoidable." I tried reassuring him. It really wasn't his fault.
"Me and Rogue are going to verse Natsu and Gajeel. Rogue is the only one, besides you, who knows the real me. " Sting confessed. It must be hard having only two people know who you really are. "What are you doing?"

When I looked down I had pulled Sting to my chest, hugging him tight.
"S-sorry, I didn't mean to, uh, I didn't mean to do that. " I stuttered like an idiot, blushing a deep red. I looked up at him and he was also blushing.
"I-It's fine" he looked at me and smiled, his smile kinda reminded me of Natsu's, but there is something different.
"I-I have to go before my team notices." Sting looked away blushing, I didn't realize that I was starting at him till now. He got up and started walking to the door. Once at it he put his hand on the doorknob and paused. "Meet me at the park at 10 please, I need to tell you something. "
💙💙Wendy's POV💙💙
I know I shouldn't have but I listened in on Lucy-San's and Sting-San's conversation. He didn't at all sound like what we're used to. He sounded sincere. So this is the real him?
I heard him get up then walk towards the door. I quickly backed up so I didn't hear what happened before he came out.
He opened the door and I was across the hall, sitting on the floor. I stood up once he completely opened it. He probably knows that I listened in since he has enhanced hearing like me. I guess I should apologize.
"Gomenesi" I bowed in front of him.
"The hell you apologizing for?" He said with a confused look but his tone didn't sound as mean as in the arena.
"I'm sorry for judging you like that" I stood up strait and looked him in the eyes. "I was wrong about you."
" Whatever kid. " he walked away after saying that, not waiting for my response. He is a really good actor.

💖💖Sting's POV💖💖

I better start walking, it's almost 10. I got ready and left my room. Outside I saw Rogue leaning against the wall. We're both covered in bandages from the fight with Natsu. After what happened with master and Lector, I just really need someone to talk to.
"Going somewhere?" He asked like he already knew the answer.
"I'm going for a walk and to see Blondie." I answered him saying the last part low so only he could hear.
"You sure you'll be alright?" He pushed himself of the wall and stood up strait in front of me.
"Yeah I'll be fine, I just have to tell her something." He looked at me sceptical but then nodded and sighed.
"Just don't take to long." He said as I started to walk away from him. Better hurry, girls don't like waiting.
I got to the park 5 minutes later, she's not here yet. I walked over to a bench and sat down waiting for her. Not to long after she came.
"Hey Blondie" I greeted, mustering up a fake smile.
" I got a name you know." She put one hand on her hip.
"Yeah I know." I looked at her and she was looking at me up and down.
"Sting what happened?" I look at her confused. "All these bandages and bruises."
"Oh, hehe, the battle with natsu of course." I replied laughing nervously.
"Not all of them, some are fresher than the others." She looked me straight in my eyes. She looked so serious. "Tell me where they're from"
"Fine but let's sit down." She looked confused but we sat down on a bench.

        ❤❤Lucy's POV❤❤

I sat down and Sting started to tell me what happened. I was enraged, how could anyone do that?!? I kept calm because right now it looks like Sting just needs some comforting, so I pulled him into a hug.
   "That's really cruel, I'm sorry that it happened but I know you will get Lector back. " I had pulled his head into my chest, usually I would have been embarrassed but this is different.
  "Thank you, " he started to cry into my shirt "thank you so much, no one has ever been this kind. You really are a special girl. "
    I blushed a little, but I hugged him closer trying to sooth him. We stayed like that for a little while before he slowly stopped crying and sat up straight.
  "Feeling better now?" I asked in a gentle tone. He looked me in the eyes and this time he pulled me into a tight hug.
   "Thank you, Lucy" I was surprised that he used my name, and his voice was so husky, probably from the crying. "Thanks for not judging me and giving me a chance, and thanks for caring. "
    He let go, his cheeks were slightly flushed but he still looked straight at me. I smiled, stood up and held my hand out to Sting.
    "Anytime, now we should get going before my guild notices I'm gone and sends the dragon slayers after me." I chuckled a little as he took my hand and stood up.
   "Yeah you're right, we wouldn't want that." He let go of my hand for a second then grabbed it again. "Can I walk you at least half way back? It's dark."
    "Sure, that would be great." I flashed a big smile and he did too. We started walking in a comfortable silence for a little still holding hands. Then he spoke up,
   "Hey, can I ask you something?" He said not stopping walking but looked at me. I nodded my head signaling for him to continue. "The first day we met, why did you actually go with me? Obviously you could tell the difference in strength and magic power between us. And if I was lying I could have killed you or something. So how come you trusted me so easily?"
  I was taken aback by what he said. It's true, he could've done anything if he was lying. I stopped walking and he did too a second after, letting go of my hand.
  "Even though I was on my guard I knew you wouldn't have done anything. I don't know why but I just felt it. There was no way you were lying. " I looked straight into his eyes, they were a warm blue. He looked shocked.  "Well my hotel is right around the corner, see you later."
    As I went to walk away he grabbed my hand and pulled my back against him. I was going to say something but then he slammed his lips into mine in a soft passionate kiss. I was shocked but after a second I kissed back.
   "Sorry, I just, " he started when he broke apart. I was still a little confused but then he continued. "I don't know something inside me just told me to. Well you have to go now Blondie, see Ya. "
   "Yeah, see ya Sting." I was still a little to shocked to argue about the nickname. He walked away and I walked into the bar of the hotel. People asked me questions about where I was but I just told them I went for a walk. Not long after Gajeel came back.
