As he sang with her passion....

  Inspired from @Lockwoodandco123

The song, not as much the plot does come from her Like Lockwood Loved Lucy. Go check hers out if you haven't already.

   Lucy's POV

You never know what you could find in a house that is preoccupied by a type two. A hand. Some antiques. A guitar, in the basement. Acoustic guitar that looks like it was never played.

It was just Lockwood and I that night on 5634 All Spice rd. trying to wrangle a strong cold maiden, Bree Whittaker, so we can go home and enjoy tea and cookies and a good night sleep. That wasn't going to happen until morning and I kept my whining in like I always did.

"Lucy! Come down! Quick!" I heard Lockwood urgently yell from the basement. I went, skipping two steps all the way down the stairs, rapier in hand.I went in kicking the door, covered in ectoplasm, open.

When I stepped in the room I found Lockwood panting heavily. Rapier in hand covered in ectoplasm just like the door. "Are you alright?" I asked him giving him a thermos filled with tea. He nodded. I heard a slam behind me.

As the door was slammed I heard a feminine scream that pierced my ears. I covered them and curled up in a little ball trying to block out the shrill voice.

When the voice stopped my ears were ringing and there was a dab of blood on my finger. When the ringing stopped I heard Lockwood asking if I was okay. "She screamed. Screamed bloody murder." I looked in his eyes, I saw his concern for me was great but what if I were to be concerned about him? He would just shrug it off.

I saw the closed door and went to go try to open it. Locked. Glued shut. "Damn." I said to myself. "That's what I tried to tell you when you were covering your ears." Lockwood told me. " The effects are going to were off around six. Two hours. " I told him.

He looked at me as if he was wounded. "What you can't survive in a room for two hours with me?" I rolled my eyes. I looked around the old base ment finding the guitar I was talking about in the beginning. I grabbed from the wall and started tuning it. "You play?" Lockwood asked me. I nodded. As I got the tuning right, I checked the neck to see if the strings were still intact. It was in pretty good shape.

I reached in my bag and pulled out a water bottle. I pulled the cap off and downed the whole bottle not realizing how thirsty I was.

I kept the cap and ran the edge along the strings of the guitar. I strummed a random tune, that soon came familiar to me...... And what from the looks to it Lockwood did  too.

   He started singing

See I can't wake up I'm living a nightmare
That keeps playing over again
Locked in a room so hung up on you
And you're cool with just being friends

Left on the sidelines
Stuck at a red light
Waiting for my time
And I can't see

   Why don't you love me

Touch me, tell me I'm your everything
The air you breathe
And why don't you love me, baby
Open up your heart tonight
'cause I could be all that you need
Why don't you love me
Why don't you love me

He sang with real passion as if his singing was meant for someone...

Then I sang, I glanced at Lockwood once

See I'm just too scared to tell you the truth

Cause my heart ache can't take anymore
Broken and bruised longing for you
And I don't know what I'm waiting for

Left on the sidelines
Stuck at a red light
Waiting for my time
So just tell me

Why don't you love me
Touch me, tell me I'm your everything
The air you breathe
And why don't you love me, baby
Open up your heart tonight
I could be all that you need
Why don't you love me
Why don't you love me

I sang with the same amount of passion just so he knows I'm also singing for someone..

He sang then I sang back at him

Why don't you give me a reason

( give me a reason)

Please tell me the truth

(Please tell me the truth)

You know that I'll keep believing

(I'll keep believing)

Till I'm with you  ( Till I'm with you)

I closed my eyes while I strummed memorizing the chords. I felt Lockwood sit beside me.

As we sang the coda I blushed as I sang

Why don't you love me
Kiss me,

I could feel your heart tonight

It's killing me so
Why don't you love me
Touch me, tell me I'm your everything
The air you breathe
And why don't you love me, baby
Open up your heart tonight
I could be all that you need

Why don't you love me
Why don't you love me
Why don't you love me

I strummed the last chord and looked at Lockwood seeing his twinkling. Then he asked a question I'd never thought to think about. "Lucy, do you.. love me?" I didn't think I just did. And I can't believe i did it. I kissed him.

He put a hand to my cheek and deepend the kiss. Heat ran through me as if the kiss was made of fire. I put the guitar to the side so that there as no space between us. H

When I pulled away I answered simply his question "yes, I do."

  Then mysteriously, the door opened......
