Aftet classes, I sat at Gryffindor table. I distanced myself from everyone else. I was just too dangerous.

I was eating as I looked at my new book from the library. I looked up when I heard, "He's been sighted! He's been sighted!" Every Gryffindor had their attention on Seamus. Everyone except me gathered around him.

"Who?" Ron asked. He was Fred's and George's little brother. He was a 3rd year like me.

"Sirius Black", Seamus said.

I looked down at my book at the mention of his name.

"Dafftown? That's not far from here", A girl named Hermione Granger said.

"You don't think he'd come to Hogwarts, do you?" Neville Longbottom asked nervously.

"With the dementors at every entrance?"

"Dementors? He already slip past them once. Who's to say he won't do it again?" Seamus asked.

I mean, that's true.

"That's right. Black could be anywhere", one of the Gryffindors said. "It's like trying to catch smoke or trying to catch smoke with your bare hands".

Part of me wondered if he would come after me.

There was two reasons for him to come here. One of those reasons was Harry Potter, the boy who lived, the person responsible for Voldemort's downfall. The other reason was me, Aurelia Adolpha.

I came out of my thoughts when Hermione Granger sat across from me. She was a Muggleborn girl who was in 3rd year as well.

"Hi", she said.

"Hey", I said. "Do you think he really would come here?"

"Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows? Perhaps the Dementors will catch him. We can't loose hope", Hermione said.

"That's true", I said, looking down.

"It's alright if you're afraid".

I looked at her. I wasn't exactly scared, but I wasn't going to tell her Sirius Black's connection to my father.

A month later, I walked into the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom for my last class. I saw everyone was already here. I dropped my satchel next to everyone else's things and joined the class.

We stood in front of a wardrobe. Something inside it made it shake. We would all step back everytime the wardrobe shook.

"Intriguing, isn't it?" Professor Lupin asked. "Would anyone like to venture a guess as to what is inside?"

"That's a Boggart, that is", Dean Thomas said.

How did he know that?

"Very good, Mr. Thomas. Now, can anybody tell me what a Boggart looks like?" Professor Lupin asked.

"No one knows".

I looked to my right to see Hermione. I didn't see her there.

"When did she get here?" Ron asked.

"Boggarts are shapeshifters. They take the shape of whatever particular person fears the most", Hermione said. "That's what makes them so-"

"So terrifying, yes", Lupin said. "Luckily, a very simple charm exists to repel a Boggart. Let's practice it now. Without wands, please. After me. Riddikulus!"

"Riddikulus!" We all said.

"Very good. A little louder. Very clear. Listen. Riddikulus!" Professor Lupin says clearly.

"Riddikulus!"

"This class is ridiculous", Draco Malfoy said to his friends.

"Very good. Well, so much for the easy part. See, the incantation alone is not enough. What really finishes a Boggart is laughter. You need to force it to assume the shape you find truly amusing. Let me explain. Neville, will you join me please? Come on, don't be shy".

Neville nervously walked towards the front.

"Hello. Neville, what frightens you most?" Professor Lupin asked. Neville muttered something. "I'm sorry?"

"Professor Snape", Neville said clearly.

Everyone laughed. I couldn't help, but chuckle. "Professor Snape. Yeah, he frightens all. And I believe you live with your grandmother".

"Yes, but I don't want that Boggart to turn into her either", Neville said. Everyone laughed.

"No. It won't. I want you to picture her clothes-only her clothes, very clear in your mind".

"She carries a red handbag-"

"We don't need to hear. As long as you see it, we'll see it. Now, when I open that wardrobe, here's what I want you to do".

Lupin whispered something in Neville's ear. Neville looked at him. "Can you do that?" Lupin asked.

"Yes", Neville said.

"Wand at the ready. One...Two...Three".

The wardrobe opened. The Boggart came out, disguised as Professor Snape.

The Boggart walked towards Neville. "Think, Neville, think", Professor Lupin said.

"Riddikulus", Neville said.

A dress, a red handbag and a hat appeared on the Snape Boggart. I burst into laughter like everyone else.

"Wonderful, Neville. Wonderful. Okay, to the back, Neville. Everyone form a line", Professor Lupin said.

I got into a line with everyone else. I stood behind Ron and Pavarti Patil. Everyone was being pushed forward and backwards.

Professor Lupin stood by the side. "I want everyone to picture the thing they fear the very most and turn it into something funny", Lupin said. "Next? Ron".

Ron walked forward. The Boggart transformed into a spider. The spider came closer.

"Wand at the ready, Ron, wand at the ready".

Ron pulled out his wand. "Riddikulus", he said. Skates appeared on the spider. Everyone laughed.

"Yes, very good! Marvelous, absolutely, very, very enjoyable!"

Ron went to the back of the line. It was Pavarti's turn. "Show us what you see", Lupin said.

Pavarti's Boggart turned into a snake. "Riddikulus!" Pavarti said. The snake turned into a clown. Everyone laughed.

"And next. Step up, step up", Professor Lupin said. He seemed to be enjoying this much as we were.

I stepped forward and pulled out my wand. My Boggart turned into a full moon.

I tried to think about something funny, but all I could think of was my fear. I was beginning to panic inside.

Professor Lupin steps in front of me, but the Boggart stayed as the same shape.

"Riddikulus", Professor Lupin said.

The Boggart transformed into a balloon. It deflated, flying around the classroom. Everyone laughed. Everyone except me. I could only think of how dreadfully I failed.

Professor Lupin puts the Boggart back in the wardrobe. He turned to the rest of the class.

"Alright, well, sorry about that. That's enough for today. If you'd all like to collect your books at the back of the class, that's the end of class", Professor Lupin said.

"Aw!" Everyone complained.

"Sorry".

Everyone grabbed their books and got ready to leave. "Aurelia", Professor Lupin said. I looked away from the wardrobe. "I want to speak with you after everyone leaves".

I didn't want to stay here after class. When a adult wants to talk to me, it means I'm in trouble.
