Rennie POV

I woke up like every other day walked into the kitchen got some cereal like every other day. I did the same things I do every other day. But something was off something felt different. "Jason." I called out into the seemingly empty house.

All I got in response was Jason with a duffle bag rummaging through drawers stuffing random stuff into his bag toast in mouth as he did so. " path yoh ags we are leafy" he mumbles his mouth full.

"huh?" I was genuinely confused. he tried to speak again but still. "take that dang toast outta your mouth and speak to me boy." he gave me a pointed look and did what he was told.

"We are leaving pack your bags. Its time to take a break from Gotham for a bit." I knew not to ask questions, we switched places all the time, but he said Gotham as in the only home I've ever known. But before I could open my mouth to protest a different voice rang out into the room.

"you're leaving?" Jason and I both froze at the sound of the broken voice. We didn't have to look at the door to see who it was. Jenna's voice was burned into our brains after knowing her for 4 years. But I turned anyway to see her face. Jason didn't. You could visibly see how he flinched as if he was stabbed. She cleared her throat and spoke again. "Jason you're leaving?" he didn't answer or even turn to face her. Tears started to flow from her eyes exposing how she truly felt. " Face me goddammit!" I have never ever heard Jenna raise her voice before. Ever. Jason turned to face her and tears were forming in his eyes but he dared not let them fall he just took a breath and deleted all emotion on his face.

"Rennie go pack your bags the train leaves soon." I was crying but I didn't let them see as I went to my room to gather my things. Thanks to Jason the walls were mostly sound proof so I didn't know what happened in between the time it took me to get my things and return. but when I did nothing seemed resolved. " Jenna I- I love you.. and I'm sorry but you can not come with us its to risky."

"But I don't wanna say goodbye...jay I need you. You guys are my family. Take me with you.''

Jason pulled her into his arms "Jenna what about your real family your real home. What about school and becoming a nurse? Jenna you have a life. here in gotham. But me Rennie we have a promise to keep a different life we are living and you just can't be a part of it now." He kissed her forehead and took her arms and unwrapped them then dropped them. " I will always love you Jenna Scott. Goodbye." he headed towards the door then nodded at me to follow.

"oh la mere" I cried into her arms. and she rocked me.

"My sweet sweet blessing I will misss you oh so dearly." she kissed my forehead and squeezed me tight.

"Irene lets go." I got up and ran to the door before I changed my mind and Jason shut the door behind us.

And that was the last we saw of Jenna Scott.
