I woke up in the morning with a major headache.I was used to it by now. I'm glad I had some advil in my bag though.

I got out the advil out the medicine cabniet and headed downstairs to get a bottle of water.

There was a lot of noise when I headed downstairs and it was just making my headache worst.

When I walked in they all looked at me.

"I thought you would be gone by now," my 'father' said.

" I don't feel very good. I think I came down with a cold," I said acting to the best of my ablility.

Levi snorted.

I glared at him.

"You can stay home. Feel better soon," he said.

Man I still don't like him. I went through a lot of things because of him.

I gave him a weak smile and went to the refrigerator to get a bottle of water.

Once I got one I headed back up to my room.

30 minutes later the noise level died down.

I called the school office to talk to them about school.

They told me I can finish school early if I could pass the P.E. exam with an
A+. Nothing lower. I accepted.

I need a smoke. I decided. I got out a cigarette and a lighter from my drawer and put them in my front pajama pocket.

Just as I was about to head out.

" hey ," Fae said.

"hey Fae were is Kate," I said

"she called in 'sick'"

I laughed.

"We both know that's not true. Well I better get going. If you need me I'm going to be outside"

As I stepped out I was greeted with the cool air of November. Just the right temperature. I don't know I just like the cold.

I went to the courtyard and got out my lighter and lighted my cigarette.

When I sucked in and out I felt everything fade. About my mom, my father, everything. I may seem as if I'm alright all the time, but I'm not. Even though she was abusive she was still my mother. I lied to myself when i said i didnt care and to others too.Now she's dead. She was killed. I wonder by whom though. She had a lot of enemies , so it would have happened sooner or later. I just wonder who had the balls to do it.

A single tear rolled down my cheek.

I was about to put the cigarette in my mouth once again when

"You know ciggerattes can damage your lungs and aren't you suppose to be 'sick'," Ryan said out of nowhere.

Dammit. I forgot he was in college.How could I forget.

I wipped the tear away and rolled my eyes.

"Don't you think I know that pretty boy. Now what the hell do you want," I said. No expression on my face.

"if you know it then why the fuck are you smoking," he said looking pissed good for him.

" Don't cuss. I don't like when people cuss around me,

It was his turn to roll his eyes.

"like you didn't just cuss"

"hell is not a cussing word"

" yes it is"

"its in the Bible so it is not"

"didn't know you was religous"

"I'm not"

I turned to him and he scratched the back of his head.

" soooo was you drunk last night," he said

"yes I was"

"so do you remember anything from last night," he said

He had a hopeful glint in his eyes. Maybe he thought that if I was drunk I wouldn't remember anything? Well I did so ha.

I made it seem like I was thinking ,but I already knew the answer.

" every single detail," I replied with. I was trying to hold down the smirk that was forming.

He scratched the back of his head again and looked up at the sky rocking back and forth on his heels.

"so..... you saw," he started of with

"You and levi making out. Yep,"I said popping the p. I kept a blank expression on.

"Your not disgusted by us," he said sneaking a glance towards me

"nope,"I said while popping the p again. I put the ciggerattes in my mouth once again.

" I already knew anyways. I know about all of you. Levi,Leo, Xavier, Evan, Caleb, and you. Know all about it. Very intresting if you ask me."

"You don't care?" He said while looking at me cautiously.

"does it look like it"

I was going to put the cigarette in my mouth again when it was snatched away from me.

I glared at him. Oh no he didnt. He did not just take my ciggerate. I was trying to get the ciggerate away from him , but he was so damn tall.

"I give up,"I said while being fake mad. Then pouted.

Then he started walking away, but not before throwing my ciggerate on the ground then stomping on it.

What he didn't know was that I had some more in my pocket, then I patted my pocket. Hold up. It's not there. I started looking around.

Then I saw him holding it up in his hand throwing it in the air and catching it. He turned around and winked at me.

That muther tucker. He is so going to get it.

I spent all day coming up for a prank for Ryan for taking my cigarette and Levi because he snitched on me.

They are so going to get what is coming to them.

I had asked Fae where Levi and Ryan room was and she told me.

Once I reached Levi room I put itching powder in all his clothes that'll kick in 30 minutes after you put it on and then it'll last for 10 minutes unless he take it off.

When Ryan was downstairs getting lunch I put pink die in his shampoo. It'll start showing up 45 minutes after he put it in his hair.

Serves them right.

It is now 4:30. Everyone is at home now. Fae just came up and told me that my father wanted me to come downstairs to the living room he has something to tell us.

I made it to the living room and I saw I was the first one there. I sat down in the only single chair there was.

2 by two everyone came down. My 'father' and Henry was sitting in a love chair just as everyone else except me.

"My client just invited us to a masquerade ball. I need you all to be ready by 8 o'clock here is some money to get the things you need," my father said while handing each one of us a credit card.

"now run along"

I went up stairs and took a shower. I put on some clothes and grabbed my backpack and put in my credit card and my crap of a phone.

Once I reached downstairs I grabbed the keys to the f250 and headed out.

First I went to get my shoes. I went to the mall and found some plain silver shoes.

Then I went to a store call
Ball Floqweut and found a long plain light blue dress and a plain white mask.

It took me 1 hour to get everything I wanted and it only costed $300 total. Yay me!

Before I went back home I got the latest iPhone model. It will be my dirty little secret. He's loaded anyway.

When I got back to the house I saw my 'father'. He looked shocked to see me.

I handed him back the credit card and recipe too. He looked even more shocked at the price. Did I spend to much. He handed me back the credit card.

"the others didnt even make it back yet. Can I see what you have?," he said.

I nodded slowly.

I handed him my things. He shook his head.

"You could have done better than this. No wonder it didn't take you this long. I'm disappointed and I thought you were a girl."

He gave me a dissapointed look.

I was beyond pissed. I took my things from him and went to my room. I wasn't even finish with my things yet.

I got out my arts and craft box for my mask and shoes. I also slid out my sewing kit and started working with some extra fabric.

It was around 7 o'clock when I finished.

I got up and showered. Once I got out I brushed my teeth, blow dried my hair, and curled it into some bouncy curls.

I went to my mirror and got out my make up kit. I wanted to go light, so I put on some mascara. A little bit of powder, Egypt winged eyeliner, and some silver eyeshadow.

I put on my new and approved outfit. I shouldn't have did anything just to pissed him off, but I'm going to represent myself not my so called 'father'.

It was 7:58 when I was ready. I headed towards the elevator. I also made sure I put the antidote for Ryan hair if he ask for it nicely.

"I don't know what is taking her so long. She came before you all and you all was ready before her. All she had was a simple light blue dress, white mask and plain silver high heels. It couldn't take that long," Quinn said as I stepped out the elevator.

He was mad good. Serves him right.

That's when I decided to step out. Mask in hand.

"that doesn't look simple to me," Xavier said.

My 'father' turned around and said,"good you went back to the store"

"no,"I said in a cold, flat tone," I did this myself"

"alrighty than let's get going",Henry said to get rid of the awkward silence.

Henry and my 'father' got into the silver mustang. While we all got into the limo.

I made sure I sat far away from Ryan and Levi, so I sat alone. Just in case something went wrong.

About 5 minutes later Ryan pink started to show in his hair and Levi started moving around uncomfortably in his seat. It was so hard to contain my laughter.

Oh payback is a b*.

" dude! Your hair is turning pink," Evan said then he bursted out laughing.

Everyone turned to look at Ryan and took one glance at him and they bursted out laughing.

I held mines in , so I wouldn't look so suspicous.

Then Levi just full out start scratching his dick.

"who did this?," Ryan and Levi said at the same time.

Everyone looked at each other. I shrugged.

"how am I suppose to fix this?" Ryan said.He ran his hand through his hair.

" I think I can help," I said.

Everyone turned and looked at me.

I dug through my backpack and got out the antidote. It was only temporary die.

He looked at me suspiciously and said" why do you have this"

" im always prepared I also got some pills, a hammer, dictionary, etc.," I said.

"damn girl how much can u fit in there," Evan said

" You don't even want to know and don't cuss around me. Oh and Levi I read somewhere that the itching will go away in like 10 minutes, so I think you'll be fine," I reassured him.

15 minutes later we arrived at a mansion.

One by one we started getting out. Once I got out there was flashes from left to right. Good thing I had my mask on.

Leo came up beside me.

" I know it was you who did that. What a smart and devious little girl you are. You may have fooled the others, but not me" he whispered to me.

" why thank you they deserved it he snitched and he stole my ciggerates," I said then I walked off

We reached the ball room and it was huge. It was a little bit smaller than ours.

The first thing I went to was the buffet. I grabbed a lot of fancy food and sat at a table. The chair beside me was pulled out then someone sat in it.

" I like a girl who can eat," the stranger said.

"Well good for you," I responded without a tone in my voice.

I didn't want to talk to him. It seems as if he didn't get the message though cause he kept on talking to me.

"My name is Luke. Luke Walker," he told me.

" My name is Lexi," I told him.

"Lexi what"

" Don't worry about it"

"Well Lexi Don't Worry About It, may I have this dance"

I shrugged. He grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor.

A slow song was playing,so we danced to it.

Most of the night I spent with Luke. I had fun. I found out a lot about him.

He was 17.He was gay. He had a boyfriend named Flinn. He lived in this mansion with his father, so I'm guessing his father was my father's client.

Then the ball ended it was time for me to go. We had exchanged numbers. I think I made me another best freind.
