- When Rusty was born, he wasn't breathing. He spent the first five minutes of his life without oxygen before being pronounced dead by the doctor. But a miracle happened when he woke up and looked into his mother's eyes. This incident gave him brain damage, especially the part that was in charge of his hearing. He would be deaf for his whole life. Despite this, he gets labeled as the miracle child by his parents.
