The girls all walked in and got ready for a reveal with a sheet of cloth with the logo on it covering a wall. It had been a week with no mission so they all just knew it had to be the next mission.

Kaori was stood between Ye Seo and Xing Qiao.

Kaori asking the two girls. "What could it be, I'm so curious."

"I just want to know what is going to happen." Ye Seo told them all as Kaori tapped her finger against her outer thigh.

Then the door opened and Jin Goo, the Planet Master walked in.

"I like his top." Kaori told the group as she looked to the flowery shirt, making Mashiro giggle at the taller J Group girl.

"Hello girls." Jin Goo told all of the girls as he held his microphone up.

"Hello." They all told him while they all bowed back towards him.

"I'm Planet Master, Yeo Jin Goo. It's good to see you." Jin Goo told all of the girls. "The first survival announcement took place last week."

"Before we get started, let me congratulate you 55 girls for getting the chance to stay here and keep pursing your dreams to become a Kpop Idol singers." Jin Goo told them all, making them think to how they had just lost 45 girls.

"Aside from the cell rankings, from last week's survival announcement, the 55 girls have gotten new individual rankings." Jin Goo told all of the group. Kaori was J02. "Along with a new TOP 10. The votes have been reset. And from this voting on there won't be any cell votes."

Once Jin Goo told the girls that, Kaori looked to her three other cell mates and she just was upset, she has done so much with them, and now they were relying on just themselves.

"Wait I still room with you?" Ye Seo asked her now former cell mates as she looked at them confused.

"I don't know, we will shared rooms based on the next mission." Kaori told her, reaching behind Mashiro, rubbing the youngest of their former cell's arm.

"From now on,  the members of each group will be ranked individually through global votes instead of cell votes. From the bottom rank the same number of members in each group will be eliminated from the bottom rank. " Jin Goo revealed, so who ever had less votes individually would be at risk, so it was only singular popularity.

"If then, down to which rankings will you get to survive?" Jin Goo told the group, this just made them hate this. "This coming voting result will eliminate...." He paused. "I'll let you know in a minute." 

"Aish!" Kaori said as she wanted to know, as did all of the girls.

"Now the second mission of Girls Planet 999, will be revealed......" And the curtain dropped at Jin Goo's words and left was a bit of fabric which made the girls scream.

On a board was the numbers 3, 6 and 9. And under the three there were six boxes covered with a sticker. Under the six were three boxes covered with a sticker. And then under the nine there were only two boxes covered with a sticker.

"It's called Combination Mission." Jin Goo told them the name of this.

"It means a mix." Jin Goo told the girls, some of which looked confused at the word used. "During this mission, your cells  will be disbanded."

Hearing this Kaori grabbed her cell mates and held them close to her, as she could easily do that with her loger than life limbs. "No, my cell mates."

This made them all giggle with her, happy that she wanted to stay with them.

"You'll be joining new teams." Jin Goo told them.

"Don't disband us!" Ye Seo told them as she hugged all of her cell mates, as they wanted to stick together, they had a strong bond.

"In front of you, there are 3, 6 and 9 written here." Jin Goo started. "These numbers mean the minimum and maximum  number of members of your new teams. With one having an extra member. And with a randomly chosen C Group member in a minute, they will get to chose and add themselves to any group with them not being counted as a C Group member, and they will have to prove them self in this mission to survive, with a key moment for them without having the killer part, or being the leader. But we will find out who that is before you go into your teams."

"And during this combination mission, the groups with 3, 6 or 9, the same number of members will be competing." Jin Goo told them.

"Now let's check the songs for this mission." Jin Goo told them as they got ready to hear the music. "Let me reveal the the songs for each group  and the position of each song."

"I'll start with the songs for the group with three member teams." Jin goo told them.

The first song to be revealed was a Vocal song 'My House' by 2PM. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. The reason of why she didn't want this was because it just wasn't really her style.

The next song to be revealed was a Rap song 'VVS' from 'Show me the money'. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. She wasn't really into Rap as much as vocals even though she was good at rapping she didn't like it as much as dance or vocals.

The next song to be revealed was a Rap song 'We Are' by Woo Won Jae. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. This reason was the same as VVS. She wasn't really into Rap as much as vocals even though she was good at rapping she didn't like it as much as dance or vocals.

The next song to be revealed was a Vocal song 'All About You' by Taeyeon. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. Kaori to be honest didn't want to perform a song that was an OST that Jin Goo was in. Mostly because it would put pressure on them to do well.

The next song to be revealed was a Vocal song 'Mafia In The Morning' by ITZY. Kaori wanted this song. She loved it when it first came out and she was intrigued as to how it could become more vocal and more complex than that. She was surprised it wasn't a dance song, but it already has a dance. But she wanted a dance song to perform.

The next song to be revealed was a dance song 'No Excuses' by Meghan Trainer. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. She liked the song but performing a dance as three meant more pressure on the dance as you would most likely get less time to have a breather.

"Now, we'll move on with the songs for the group with six member teams." Jin goo told them.

The first song to be revealed was a Vocal and Rap song 'Missing You' by BTOB. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. This was mostly because she just didn't like the relaxed style of the song, to perform she would rather perform something other than a ballad, one where she could still possibly do movements while singing, unless she just sang.

The next song to be revealed was a Vocal song 'My Sea' by IU. Kaori didn't want this song to perform but she loved the song. She knew how hard it was, she had gotten the high note before but it was really hard and if you over practised then it would fuck up your vocal chords as she learned, when she sang it.

The next song to be revealed was a dance song 'Fate' by Lee Sun Hee. Kaori wanted this, she loved the song, and it would be more of a lyrical dance, compared to the others. She was very excited.

"Lastly I'll announce the songs for the group with nine member teams." Jin goo told them.

The first song to be revealed was a dance song 'Ice Cream' by BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez. Kaori loved the song and she wanted to perform this. It seemed very fun and it would show her cute side as well which she might want to do, she would love to have fun with that side of her.

The next song to be revealed was a dance song 'Salute' by Little Mix. Kaori liked the song, she had done a cover of it the former year but she would rather do a song she had never covered before.

For Kaori it was between 'Fate' by Lee Sun hee and 'Ice Cream' by BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez.

"Now all the songs for the combination mission have been revealed." Jin Goo told the girls.

"Before you get into teams. We will randomly pick a member of the J Group who will have an invisible part in the team picking and will be in the team even with the other members of J Group." Jin Goo told them. The random thing going off in front of them and it stopped on a number. J02. Lena didn't realise it was hers.

Until Yu Jin turned to her and said. "Kaori, you get the pick."

Her eyes widened and she was nervous of who she would be with, but now she had no worries of what team to pick, she could just pick based on the teams.

"In this mission, we will test your individual strengths. Choose the position you are confident in. You'll write rap, create choreography, and do the arrangement." Jin Goo told them.

"What's the most important for this mission, is the benefit. As before, when all 11 teams are done performing, the masters will chose the best team from each group, and everyone on that team will receive the benefit. The benefit will be divided among the team mates equally. Three team members get a third. Six team members get a sixth. And nine team members get a ninth. Per individual." Jin Goo told them.

"So the teams of three have more competition, but they can get higher benefits, and individual scores. Teams of nine have less competition, but they will receive lower individual benefits." Jin Goo told them. Kaori already knew where she was going. "The combination Mission's benefit points is.... 270,000. This is what the winners will get." Jin Goo continued, before he turned to Kaori, the tallest by at least 4 cm, of the girls in the competition. "Which ever team you are on, Minatozaki Kaori, you will get equal benefit as them whether it is 90,000 or 45,000 or 30,000."

"And Minatozaki Kaori, your picking will be completed first. You will get to play hide and seek, you will hide two stars behind the groups you want to be a member of. And then at the end you will pick betweent eh two teams for the group you want to be a member of." Jin Goo tolf the girl.

Kaori walked into the room, waving at all of the staff in the room. "Hello." She whispered before she was passed two stars for her hiding.

"Right well the first will go here." Kaori said as the video was blurred as the the images she was putting the stars on then a sticker was placed over it, to show the category, song and artist of the song.

"The second will go here." Kaori said again before she put her second sticker on the poster before the video was blurred again and she went to hide in the corner of the room as she watched the girls get ready to enter as all of the images were covered in the new sticker.

Kaori heard the door open and Yu Jin and May walked in through the six member door. And they both walked up to the same stage. 'Fate' by Lee Sun Hee. They giggled.

And Cai Bing had gone to the 'Salute' Team. Being the first member.

Then Shen Xiao Ting and Yurina walked through the six door.

"Here?" Yu Jin asked the C Group girl, and the girl nodded. Running up to the dance group. They all hugged, happy they had Shen Xiao Ting on their team.

Yurina going to 'Missing You'. And Young Eun going to 'My House in the 3 member group.

Next through was Su Rui Qi. "Are you the last C Member?" Xiao Ting asked the girl as Su Rui Qi came through the doors.

"There's so many of you!" Rui Qi said as she saw all three of them there, half of the group had already been filled by half of the girls in the competition.

"Really?" May asked her.

"I'm with you!" Rui Qi told them running up to the group of four. And they all hugged, really excited, they had a very good team so far, they hoped the last two members would be just as good as them.

"Wow!" Yu Jin told them.

"I'm all alone!" Yurina told the group.

"We still love you." Kaori shouted to the girl from her place making all of the girls look around for the tall girl but not find her.

"People will be surprised to see our team." Yu Jin told the four members.

Ezaki Hikaru was going to 'No Excuses' 3 member group. And Jeong Ji Yoon going to 'My Sea'.

Then they saw Kang Ye Seo walk through, Kaori knew she was a good dancer, they were in a cell together and they had a lot of fun together dancing.

"Which one?" Yu Jin asked her fellow K Group girl.

"Us? Is it us?" Su Rui Qi asked the young girl.

And with a nod the group went wild. All of them shouting and screaming. They were so happy. Kaori was excited to maybe join the team but she didn't know if she would join them.

"I got chills." Ye Seo told them as she showed them her arm as they all calmed down a bit, but they were full of energy.

"I don't know who I should join, I want to work with other people, but I really like Fate Team and who they have in the team as they are strong dancers." Kaori told the camera in her interview.

Sakamoto Mashiro went to 'Mafia In The Morning' and Huang Xing Qiao went to 'All About You'

Next through those six member doors were Kim Chae Hyun and Li Yi Man. They walked through and they went to 'My Sea' joining Jeong Ji Yoon. And Kuwahara Ayana choosing 'My House' joining Seo Young Eun.

Then through the doors of the room was Xu Zi Yin who could not join 'Fate' due to her being C Group but she joined 'My Sea' joining Jeong Ji Yoon, Kim Chae Hyun and Li Yi Man.

And  Kim Do Ah and Arai Risako joined Cai Bing at Salute going through the 9 doors.

Soon they were left waiting as 'My Sea' closed first being filled with it's members: Xu Zi Yin, Nonaka Shana, Sakamoto Shihona, Jeong Ji Yoon, Kim Chae Hyun and Li Yi Man

Mafia In The Morning had Fu Ya Ning, Sakamoto Mashiro and Huh Ji Won.

All About You had Huang Xing Qiao, Choi Ye Young and Sakurai Miu.

No Excuses had Kim Su Yeon, Ezaki Hikaru and Yang Zi Ge.

My House has Kuwahara Ayana, Seo Young Eun and Wang Ya Le.

Then Ice Cream had filled it's members. Kim Da Yeon, Ikema Ruan, Hsu Nein Tzu, Guinn Myah, Wu Tammy, Huening Bahiyyah, Chen Hsin Wei, Kishida Ririka and Fujimoto Ayaka. Which excited Kaori as she might have wanted to work with Da Yeon again and they already had a dance for 'Ice Cream' which they had made during early 2021.

We Are has Wen Zhe, Kim Bo Ra and Nagai Manami.

VVS had Liang Jiao, Kamimoto Kotone and Lee Chae Yun.

Fate had been joined by Yamauchi Moana, completing the team of seven.

Missing You had Kawaguchi Yurina, An Jeong Min, Zhou Xin Yu, Lee Hye Won, Kubo Reina and Leung Cheuk Ying.

Salute had been completed with Zhang Luo Fei, Cai Bing, Yoon Ji A, Kim Do Ah, Chia Yi, Kim Hye Rim, Arai Risako, Hayase Hana and Shima Moka.

"Before these teams are complete one person has to pick her team but she will whittle out the different groups." Jin Goo told the girls as he appeared through the Six member team door, and Kaori walked out from the corner she had been watching all of the girls.

"Which is the first idea of what you don't want to compete in?" Jin Goo asked the girl on his left.

" I don't want to work in any ......." Kaori told the man as she looked to the three and six group members. "Any Rap song."

"This eliminates....." Jin Goo started to tell the teams as some of them were upset. "Teams We Are, VVS and Missing You."

"What is the next group you want to eliminate." Kaori was asked by Jin Goo.

"I don't want to........" Lena paused for effect. "do a Vocal Performance" The girls gasped loudly hearing this, she would be removing herself from working with some of the top girls in the competition by doing this.

"This eliminates....." Jin Goo started to tell the teams as some of them were upset. "Teams Mafia In The Morning, My Sea, and My House. Missing You was already removed."

Lena stood there as she waited to eliminate some more combination groups. There was only No Excuses, Fate, Salute and Ice Cream.

"This leaves dance performances." Jin Goo told the girl.

"Which of these teams would like to have Lena in their teams...." Jin Goo asked the girls. "Fate ...." All six girls raised their hands very quickly, liking the idea of working with her, as none of them had done before, apart from Ye Seo.

"No Excuses." Jin Goo asked the girls. Ezaki Hikaru liked the idea, raising her hand quickly as had Kim Su Yeon. And then only Zi Ge didn't raise hers, she was skeptical of having another girl join the group, as she was already a very good dancer and it would make an even harder dance.

"Ice Cream......" Kaori heard Jin Goo ask the team. All of them raising their hands at the thought very quickly, Da Yeon wanted to work with the girl as they had all been able to choreograph a dance to the song before.

"Salute....." At Jin Goo's words they were a bit dismissive of wanting her bar do Ah and Yoon Ji A but they all raised their hands.

"Girls please show your underneath stickers to see if she picked you as her top two." Jin Goo told the group.

"Fate Team go first." Jin Goo told the team and they peeled off the sticker showing the gold star in the middle of the page and they all screamed that they would get to work with Kaori as they liked that idea. They were friends with her and they all loved her.

"No Excuses, please remove the top of your sticker." Jin Goo asked the team of three and they showed no sticker under neath with made them sigh for a second.

"Salure and Ice Cream, please remove your sticker now." Jin Goo asked the groups of nine before Cai Bing and Da Yeon removed the stickers and Salute showed no sticker and Ice Cream screamed as they saw the sticker on their card.

"So now it is between Fate and Ice Cream." Jin Goo told the girls.

"Will you work with a cute dance or will you work with a more lyrical dance?" Jin Goo asked the girl that was just latter than he was.

"You will leave the room, come back in with your choice and you will go to that team." Jin Goo continued to tell her. "Come back in in this door then go to them."

Once Kaori was outside of the room Jin Goo told the girls that were in the room. "I don't like standing next to her." This made them all laugh as they looked at the the man who was shorter than Kaori, and felt intimidated stood next to her as she had chronic RBF.

Kaori came in through the six member team door. She looked left to right at the two groups.

She took a step forward before she closed her eyes and she looked to take a step closer to Hsin Wei and Ice Cream team, and she reached her arm out towards them, which got them excited for a second before she ran to Fate Team very quickly with her long legs.

The six girls screaming with her as they were happy that they got to work with her.

And they all screamed as they had another girl who was known for awesome for dancing and would be able to create a dance.

"All of the teams are complete." Jin Goo told the girls as they were now all in the shared room. "Do you like your new teams?" He asked them all.

Kaori cheered loudly, she really liked her team, it was so cool and they all liked the idea.

"I'm looking forward to it." Jin Goo told everyone. "Lastly, it is what you are most curious about." Jin Goo told them. Kaori had forgotten about how many were leaving after this.

"I will reveal the number of people who will be eliminated." Jin Goo told them. "Out of 54 girls, the number of girls who will be eliminated in the second survival announcement......"

"My heart aches." Kaori whispered to her six members as they looked to the group.

"It's 30." Jin Goo told them.

Kaori flipped her head up, basically giving herself whiplash as she looked up with widened eyes.

"What?" She asked her group. Any of these girls might go home, but she was scared that they would, knowing they would make a big bond.

"Based on the result of Global voting, ten people with low ranks from each group, which means ranks one to eight in C and K, and ranks 1 to 9 in J will survive. In C and K from ranks 9 to 18 will be eliminated. And in J from ranks 10 to 19 will be eliminated. Unless Kaori doesn't pass, and if she doesn't then she will be eliminated. And that pass will be down to the masters and her global voting will count in the second elimination. And the only hope for the eliminated girls is the planet pass." Jin Goo told the girls.

This made Kaori nervous as if she didn't pass by the masters standards then she was eliminated. And she didn't even know what she would need to pass.

"So please show the Planet Guardians you're doing your best to the end." Jin Goo told them. "Good luck everyone."
