Remain

You've lifted my head when I've been so down,
you've put a smile where there was once only a frown,
Together we've cried and together we've dried one another's tears,
and with you I'll be here for the rest of my years,
More than the times we've cried God Himself reminds us we're on His side,
Pulling my heartstrings,
in my life I'll burn away all the useless distractions and things,
For you my love if I ever have to
I want to be willing to spill all of my blood,
and for our God and family,
for what He's given us to do with this life,
so take I the imperfect me
to be forged into all I can be.
With you I'll remain for the rest of my years,
And no fears, no tears,
can stop us moving on.
