Prologue

Prologue: I can't believe this

Kiyone's POV

I was sitting on the bed in my room in that man's mansion, I was looking at my uniform from Advanced Nurturing High School, where a few days ago I received the acceptance mail from the high school and they sent me the uniform for the start of class, missing 10 days until April 1 and the start of the semester, although I'm still somewhat skeptical about it, Matsuo convinced me to try to enter high school since according to him, this school is the only place where that man will not be able to reach. me and return to the white room.

Even though I told him that continuing with all this could endanger him and his son Eichiro and that man has too much power so that a school can't protect me, Matsuo said that I shouldn't worry about what happens to him, he said that He would never forgive himself if he lives happily knowing that I would return to a place like the white room and do nothing to stop it even for a short time.

He told me that the school is completely financed by the government and that it is a boarding school where contact with the outside is completely prohibited and is only possible in extreme circumstances or force majeure, in turn that man will never be able to enter or make movements, since being totally controlled strictly by the government so it would be safe.

Without having more reasons to refuse, I applied for the entrance exam and interview, I did my best to look like an average student. I'm sure I got 50 points in each subject, and I tried to behave like an ordinary student in the interview.

I didn't expect much from the results since according to Matsuo this is the best school in the entire country, where the employment rate and entrance to the university is 100% guaranteed for its graduated students, so this is the school of the elites , not even highly regarded schools for the wealthiest like Shuuchiin Academy can hope to have such results, which means that not everyone is able to enter, and less likely for someone who achieves barely passable scores or doesn't have something extraordinary as I was trying to imitate.

In fact, the competition is great, having an incentive such as having the job of your dreams or being able to enter the university you want with a free pass without having to go through even greater competition to enter the best universities in the country and that step is completely free which allows students who come from low-income families to study without worries such as tuition, tuition, study materials or basic needs thanks to the financial support of the government, as is to be expected, the number of applicants is enormous, but even so, among all the applicants, only 160 are accepted, divided into 4 classes A, B, C and D, according to the email I received, I was assigned to class D.

For my part, all these rewards don't attract me in the slightest since in any case these 3 years would only be like a vacation and in the end I would return to the white room, I have nothing against the white room and I don't care to go back there or not, the only thing that interests me is zero contact with the outside, I could be free for 3 years without worrying about the whiteroom, maybe I could be able to learn from the world that, "that man", forced me to discard, would I discover what is feel the freedom?, what does it feel like to live without being tied to anything?, it is that school I can find out if people are the same or not, all this is something that I cannot learn in the white room, this makes me feel excited.

- ¡¡¡¡KIYONE-SAMA!!!!!!

When I was in the middle of my thoughts, I heard Matsuo's voice calling me from the main hall, it sounded strange, as if he had been given some shocking news because he sounded worried, something not very common in a man as calm and serene as him. Knowing that I wouldn't know that it's so important if I didn't go, I headed to the main hall.

- What's wrong Matsuo? why the screams? -I saw that he was watching TV and his face was as if he had seen a ghost.

- Kiyone-sama, this is serious, very serious.

- What are you talking about Matsuo? Does your state have something to do with what is on TV?

Without saying anything else I sat next to Matsuo on the sofa and he was right, it was on the news, and the news they were giving gave me the reason for Matsuo's state of shock.I started to sweat cold, I didn't blink, I didn't say a word, I didn't move an inch, Matsuo looked at me worried and it was no wonder, in my 15 years of life very few things happened that broke my composure and left me like that, and the news that he had in front of him was undoubtedly one of the biggest.

- "BREAKING NEWS". A few hours ago, the Japanese army carried out an operation to search for, arrest those involved and dismantle a facility that was in charge of keeping hundreds of children captive and subjecting them to cruel experiments for almost 20 years.

- According to the little information that we have, the aforementioned facility is known as "The White Room", this place was in charge of cruel treatment with hundreds of children for almost 20 years in operation, at the moment it is proceeding with the rescue of the victims as well as the search for victims outside the main facility, at this time the local police are going to the locations where some of the victims are.

- . . . eh?

It was all I could say, I never thought I would receive news like this.

The white room, it was just dismantled, that man lost, the information leak that caused the temporary closure and gave me the opportunity to experience a normal life now gives me this.

Wait, what will happen to me now? Will the police look for me? Will everything that happens in the white room now be known to the whole world? Will I be able to have a normal life? Will I even be able to attend the school and have a peaceful life?

When I thought that this couldn't get worse, it got worse, the news was being transmitted from the press helicopter, not only was it the place where the white room was, but also a second helicopter from the press was focusing the mansion and some police patrols were approaching.

*knock Knock knock*

When we heard knocks at the main entrance Matsuo and I looked at each other for a second, neither of us had any idea what was going to happen in the next few minutes and to be honest she didn't want to know what would happen.
