The Big Question

"Is Kirishima a top or a bottom?"

Kaminari's question silenced everyone around him. Ashido seemed to seriously ponder it, while Sero looked absolutely exasperated. Jirou just rolled her eyes.

"Dude." Kaminari looked over at Sero. "Why?"

"I can't tell!" he retorted, as if that was reasonable. "It's obvious with some people, ya know? Midoriya's a bottom, Todoroki's a top, Shouji's a top, Mineta's a bottom, although I'm 100% sure no one would ever want to do that with him."

"You're right!" gasped Ashido. "He's in love with everything manly, but would that make him want to be more of a man or let the other guy be the man?"

"Exactly!" Kaminari threw his hands out. "I rest my case." He folded them in his lap with a confident smirk.

"Why don't you just ask him?" Jirou called from the other couch.

"Watch me. Any bets before I go, ladies and gentlemen?" inquired the blond as he stood up.

"Yeah, I bet you're gonna die," snickered Jirou. After shooting the purple-haired edge lord a heated glare, Kaminari pivoted and stomped out of the room.

Kaminari knocked on Kirishima's door, shifting on the balls of his feet as he waited for the redhead to answer. After a few seconds, he did, a pencil tucked behind his ear and a troubled look on his face.

"Oh, hey, Kami. Look, I don't have a lot of time right now, but—"

"No need, Kirishima, I shall only take moments of your time," interrupted the blond, snapping his palm in front of Kirishima's face and marching into his room.

"Dude, this better be important. I'm absolutely screwed for Present Mic's final tomorrow..." Kirishima groaned. He rubbed the back of neck.

Kaminari whirled back around to face Kirishima and clapped his hands together, sparks flying out from his palms at the friction.

"I have a question for you, my good sir," smirked the blond. "Are you a top or a bottom?"

The redhead just stared at him blankly. For a minute. "Wh— what?" he scoffed. "Wait, you're serious? Is this actually something you're asking me?"

"One-word answers, please. And soon, if you would be so kind. I have an audience to attend to."

"That's a really weird question. Even for you, dude."

"Just answer the question, man. The longer you take, the more awkward it becomes."

"Okay, okay—" Kirishima pondered the question. "Okay. I'm a switch. It depends on the person, ya know?"

"Give me some examples," said the blond.

"The things I do for you guys..." he sighed with a shake of his head. "I'd top you for sure. And Bakugou. I can't really think of anyone else."

Kaminari nodded, before realizing what he said and shooting a narrowed glare at the redhead. "What do you mean for sure?"

"No offense, man, but you're a total twink. Is your freaky little mind satisfied? Can I go back to studying now?"

Jirou and Sero burst into laughter from outside Kirishima's room. Ashido was on the floor wheezing, weakly reaching for Sero's arm as she continued to slide down.

"Happy with your answer, Denks?" Sero snorted.

"That's about what I expected, to be honest," added Jirou, taking a second off from laughing.

The door beside Kirishima's dorm suddenly swung open. "Get the fuck out of here if you idiots are just gonna make fun of Dunce Face," Bakugou snarled. "Do that somewhere else."

Kaminari perked up. He sensed an opportunity to embarrass at least one of his friends.

"Kirishima said he'd top you," blurted the blond.

Kirishima and Bakugou, after stepping out of their dorms, shared a look. Jirou's eyes narrowed. Sero was busy trying to get Ashido standing again. Actual tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"He can sure as hell try," Bakugou said.

"Is that a challenge, Blasty?" smirked Kirishima, the dread at the next day's test all but erased from his face.

"Fuck yeah, it is!"

Kaminari, Ashido, Jirou, and Sero all watched with blank faces as Kirishima marched into Bakugou's dorm and slammed the door shut.

"...did I win the bet?" Kaminari asked hesitantly, as if he didn't believe what was happening.

Sero patted him on the shoulder with a slow shake of his head. Jirou and Ashido just left, the latter shooting him a solemn, "Goodbye, Denki."

He stood there in utter disbelief. So...

Was Kirishima a top or a bottom?
