Kiara and Kovu cried.

The Night Pride felt guilty. Rani walked up to Kion. "Hey, we're sorry-" Kiara cut Rani off.

"YOUR SORRY! SORRY ISN'T GOING TO BRING BACK MY CUBS!" Kiara screamed. She lunged at Rani, but Kion stopped her. He whispered in Kiara's ear.

"This is Rani, the lioness I was talking about," Kion whispered. Kiara stopped. "And she isn't the one who killed your cubs," Kion said.

Kiara just cried. Rani walked up to Kiara, "I might not know who you are, but I'm sorry for your loss. I will talk to Nirmala," Rani put a paw on Kiara's shoulder.

Kiara looked at Rani, but didn't say anything.

Kovu nuzzled Kiara, tears streamed down his face.

Rani turned to Kion.

"I'm sorry for the attack. We thought you were a threat. You are welcome at the Tree Of Life," Rani said.

"Thank you," Kion smiled. "And one question, how come when we attacked, why didn't you attack me?" Rani asked. Kion froze, and started to blush.

When Kion actually faced Rani, he couldn't admit anything to her. Kovu noticed this. Even though he just lost his cubs, this amused him. Kovu wiped away his tears and approached them.

"Kion isn't violent, he doesn't like to fight," Kovu said. Rani looked at Kovu, then Kion, "You couldn't say that yourself?" Rani raised an eyebrow.

Kion blushed. "Anyways, this is Nirmala, Baliyo, Surak and im-" Kion cut Rani off. "Rani," Kion smiled.

Rani stared at him, "How do you know my name?" "Uhh I guessed. Did I get it right?" Kion asked, blushing. Rani chuckled, "Yeah, you did." Kion looked down embarrased.

Kion had wanted to meet Rani since his first dream of her, but she was more beautiful than Kion had expected, and when Kion wanted to talk to her, he just didn't know what to say.

Rani led them inside the Tree Of Life. "Woah!" Kovu gasped. Kiara wiped her tears, and smiled slightly.

Kion couldn't speak. "Lost for words," Rani asked. Kion didn't answer. "Hello?" Rani asked, "You ok?"

Kion spoke, "Ihfjdb." Kion shut his mouth. "What?" Rani asked with a chuckle. Kion was confused. Right after the fight he could talk, but now that Rani was only talking to him, he only spoke gibberish.

"Jdjhff," Kion shut his mouth again. "Kion you ok?" Kiara asked. Kion shook his head. "Because Kion can't talk, I'll introduce us, I'm Kiara, this is Kion, and Kovu," Kiara said.

"I already knew Kion's name, you said it already," Rani replied.

Kiara looked at Kion. His face was lava red. She whispered in his ear, "Calm down, it's just Rani, no need to blush."

Kion put a paw over his face. Kiara chuckled. "C'mon. We are bringing you to the tree. And Kiara, again, we are so sorry," Rani said. "It's ok, me and Kovu can try again," Kiara licked Kovu's cheek.

"Alright, let's go."
