Chapter 2: Kwaheri

(Ok guys I have learned a bunch of Swahili stuff, so I'm going to use those words, but in case you don't know what they mean, I'll put parenthesis next to it explaining what it means)

Kion woke up with a yawn. He stood up and stretched. He turned around, and Rani was still sleeping. He didn't want to wake her, so he walked out quietly.

Kion saw his parents talking to Ananda and Sahasi. He noticed Kiara and Kovu weren't with them. He guessed the must be at the Ziwa. (Lake)

Kion approached his parents. "Asubuhi (Morning) Kion," Simba smiled. "Asubuhi dad," Kion replied.

"How did you sleep?" Nala asked. "Nzuri (good)," Kion smiled.

Kion heard pawsteps behind him. He turned around and saw Rani. She yawned an sat down next to him.

"Asubuhi Rani," Kion said. "Asubuhi Kion," Rani yawned again.

"Kion, we are leaving now," Simba said. Rani's eye's shot open. "Go get Kiara and Kovu. They are at the Ziwa," Nala said. Kion nodded and ran off.

Kiara was basking in the sun at the shore while Kovu splashed water on her. "Kovu stop that!" Kiara complained with a chuckle.

"Kovu Kiara!" Kion shouted, "We're leaving!" Kiara stood up. Kovu shook the water out of his fur. They ran back to Sahasi, Ananda, Rani, Simba, and Nala.

"Asante (Thank you) Kion. If you ever need anything, you can always ask us. We are in your debt after all," Sahasi said.

Kion smiled and nodded, "I will."

"Let's get going," Nala said. "Kwaheri (good bye) Rani," Kion nuzzled her. "Kwaheri Kion," Rani mumbled sadly.

The Royal family left the Tree Of Life.

Rani watched Kion leave, and a single tear dropped down her cheek.

"Hey, Hakuna Matata (No worries) Rani. They will visit again someday," Ananda nuzzled her daughter.

"Yeah...siku moja (someday)," Rani sighed.

Kion ran ahead of his family. "Kion! Punguza mwendo! (Slow down)" Simba shouted. "Sorry! I'm just excited to go home," Kion smiled.

"We all are, but we need to take it slow," Nala said, "We don't want anyone getting hurt."

"Alikubali (agreed)," Kiara replied. Kovu nuzzled her. "Oh so now you're all ganging up on me? I haven't been home in so long! I miss Priderock," Kion said enthusiastically.

"Ok fine, we can speed up, but not to fast," Simba chuckled. Kion nodded. They kept at a pretty decent pace back to Priderock.

They arrived on the hill overlooking Priderock.

"Siwezi Kuamini! (I can't believe it) I'm home again!" Kion smiled and ran down into the Pridelands.

"Guess he was excited," Nala chuckled. "C'mon let's catch up to him!" Kovu laughed and raced after him.

"You're on!" Kiara ran after him.

Nala shook her head, but then Simba ran after his cubs, and son-in-law.

"You coming Nala!" Simba shouted. Nala smiled and ran after them.
